Sims 3: World Adventures Preview
Got time for a summary?
Just about, I soon have to run for my long flight home!
World Adventures is huge. I think I've given that impression here already. I didn't really touch too much on all of the new hair and clothing types or the 100+ new objects that come with the game in this article because I have already put together a couple of videos which showcase all of that stuff. I'll include them here for you to watch at the end of the article. People can't help but notice the increased price of this EP compared to those of previous Sims games so I'd like to touch on that briefly here. People have posted lots in the community about EA justifying the price hike by bundling $10 worth of Store Points and claiming they don't want them so shouldn't be forced to pay for them.
I know I'll be accused on being an EA lap dog here but you know what? It's a few years since The Sims 2 shipped and if I'm not mistaken, the average $19.99 price point didn't change during its lifetime. Prices do have to rise at some point in time, and I think that's where we are now with our Sims 3 EP 1. Is the rise too much? That's a decision you have to make for yourselves. Given the depth and scope of this pack I think most will appreciate it for what it is.
But I digress, and I ramble too much!
As usual, my thanks go out to all of the community team at EA for the opportunity and experience, as well as to my fellow fansite owners and creators, regulars and new faces, who always manage to make these events fun and interesting (if not exhausting).
I'll leave you with some extra screenshots, videos and that Tomb Creation 101 I promised you. I'm off to the airport!
