Perfect ambience! I can just hear the crickets chirping and the fish slapping the water. Ouch! Was that a mosquito? My anglers are gonna love this place. Gina

Great stuff!  I always wanted a house on stilts Maybe a stupid question - but how do you stock your pond with fish?  I like to build houses with garden ponds too, but I haven't figured out yet how to add the fish, or am I overlooking something obvious?

Greetings Hadewych,     I noticed you had a question about stocking your ponds with fish.  Obviously, I'm not the creator of the lot in question, but sometimes it takes a while for them to get back to you because they're so busy creating, so I thought I'd help you out.  There are two ways that I know of to stock your ponds with fish.  First I'll tell you the "in-game" way to do it.  You go fish and fill up your inventory with as many fish as you can.  You can even fish in the different destinations of World Adventures and bring back exotic fish.  Then you click on the pond you want to stock (or maybe you click on the fish, it's been a while since I've done it this way) and with a bit of effort, you should see a "Stock with fish" option.  Click this and all the fish in your inventor will be put in the pond.  They will then start spawning on their own.  The second option is much easier for me, but it requires several cheats.  I don't know how much you know about cheats so I'll take you through it step-by-step, just in case.  First you press <control> <alt> and the <C> key at the same time.  This will open the cheat window.  Then type in "testingcheatsenabled true" (This will enable you to use testing cheats).  Next, use <ctrl> <alt> <C> again to open the cheat window and type in "buydebug". This adds an addition opton in the buy mode that has a question mark on it.  Go to your buy mode and click this question mark.  You will see tabs at the top.  There are tabs for objects that are used by creators in game, a plants tab, a minerals tab, a fish tab, as well as others.  You want to click on the "fish" tab.  In this tab, you'll find a bunch of squares.  Mouse over each one to see what it does.  You'll find things like "Common Lake 1" and "Rare Lake".  If you have World Adventure installed, you'll also find "China Koi 1" and "Rare China" and things like that.  These squares are fish spawners.  In buy mode, you can choose whatever you want and however many you want and just put them in the lake or pond you want to stock.  It's that simple.  You'll see a big ugly square in your lake or pond, but this will disappear when you go back to playing your game.  You can also put gem and mineral spawners, seed spawners, etc. anywhere you want in your game.  In the build mode, you will see an extra icon as well using the "buydebug" cheat.  It will allow you to place stores and job sites wherever you want.  I like to make a big basement and place them underground. As long as you put a stairway somewhere that leads to them underground your sims can still access them but you can build whatever you want on top.  These are called "rabbit holes."  For example, you can put the theater underground so your Sims can still join the music career and can still take a class in guitar, but on top, you can make it look like an outdoor theater or whatever you want for medieval or western towns!  You just bulldoze the actual theater and put it underground.  That way, the town matches your theme but the Sims can still do everything they could in the original town!  It's really wonderful!  I hope this helps you enjoy your game more and make it a bit more fun!  If you have any questions feel free to ask.  Happy Simming!  Mekell
