Posted by cashcraft on Aug 16, 2009• Sims 2 Poll Results

A liitle over a month ago, I started a poll. The question I asked was, "Are You Still Playing Sims 2?"

I was surprised by the results, the majority of people who answered my poll are still playing Sims 2! (see results below)

The reason I started the poll was to determine whether I should continue creating new custom content for Sims 2, or to just concentrate my creative energy on Sims 3.

Well, looking at the poll results, made deciding what to do a lot easier! I will continue to create for Sims 2, while I am learning how to blow up meshes...er, I mean create for Sims 3!

So far, I created several patterns and modified a dress mesh for Sims 3. I'm still waiting for tools to be developed, so that I can easily create new objects for Sims 3,*crosses fingers* I hope it will be very soon!

WHAT'S NEW!

I have finished my Traditional Kitchen set, I just need to beta test the set's large appliances. Hopefully, they will pass with "flying colors" and I can publish the set by the end of August or early September 2009.

Thanks to everyone who voted! I really appreciate your feedback and comments.

Take Care and Happy Simming!

Carolyn

I am so glad you'll still be creating for TS2! I keep trying, but I just can't get excited by TS3.

Hi C, I'm so happy you'll continue enriching our Sims2 game with your beautiful sets. I doubt I will ever open my Sims3 game from what I've seen in the forums and screenshots. Yes, the neighborhood is beautiful, but my Sims and their homes and towns are even more so with everything I want them to be right now. Thanks go to you and All About style, and other FA's and SA's and many other artists who have made my game so fantasically beautiful and enjoyable. I think we all realise at some point Sims3 will "take over", but for now, I'm just glad we'll have new creations from you for alittle while longer. You've made my day!   judi

Oh Carolyn, I so look forward to seeing more Sims 3 creations from you one of these days. You are so uber talented, and your victorian creations were one of the original reasons why I registered and began subscribing to TSR over a year ago. Though I still have all of my Sims 2 stuff on another computer, I have finally started to come around to doing more with Sims 3, and look forward to the day when I can add your unique and wonderful creations to my game. ~ Pene

ps ..consider this on polll results..you have very little sims 3 creations..and those of us playing have already installed what you have created for sims 3..your name and creations dont show up on the sims 3 featured downloads..so naturally your poll would reflect the people who come to your page each day..bc those of us only playing sims 3 now..dont visit your page very often..stands to reason the folks who answered your poll are people who are coming to download sims 2 items..make sense?

Thank goodness you're still creating for TS2!! My game could not survive without your fantastic creations!! Also, thank you for addressing the kitchen set. I will be waiting....(impatiently)...for it to be published. Lol. Just kidding. Keep up the good work!!

Maybe your creations would make TS3 look better, right now that game is a "not particularly good-looking quest" to me, not an "eye-candy dollhouse" as TS2. I play both games because of different reasons, and most of my sim-homes are filled with your objects. They made my game so pretty, that I don't want to leave it. Thank you very much and keep up your fantastic job!

I don't play Sims 3 (mostly because I don't have a computer with enough hard drive space to keep Sims 2, which I won't give up ) but I'm sure your creations would look great in Sims 3. As for your kitchen set, I can't wait! The pictures you posted a few months ago were wonderful!

I don't play the Sims 3. I paid full price (49.99) and I didn't enjoy it at all. The Sims 2 is by far better.
