RED CHIMNEYS ARE BACK!
Not exactly something to celebrate, is it? Yes, Sims 3 has reminded us just what it's like to have bright red chimneys ALL OVER AGAIN!
This tutorial is going to show you how you can zap the pests. Have your own chimney - any size, any colour, in any position! If you llike, have NO chimney! Better still, stick it in the garden pond and enjoy smoked mackerel for supper. Whatever you want, you can do it with this EASY tutorial. And yes, your new chimney will stay just how you design it - even when other people download your lot.
Incidentally, this tutorial works on any of the in-game chimneys, including the wood-burning stove's flu-pipe.

Great work, Sue! Thank you!!! I've been waiting for this tutorial to get fixed and published.
Now, to go zap those red chimneys. I have one that sits between a foundation laid home and a ground level garage. (Didn't want to use the cheat on that one.) Wonder with the moveobjects on cheat if I can get the walls to work between those levels? If not, the garage may need a cheat tweaking after all.

You had me fuming ..... then smoking angry ....... followed by concern over whether I had bungled it .....then cheekily seeing if the fireplace would re appear ....... before finally, finally blowing my stack with thick plumes of black smoke in an otherwise decent chimney (I would never have guessed you used the fence ........ ingenious!) Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou for this great tute!
