Thank you for reading another chapter of "The Story of Letta Divine". I am sorry it took so much for it to happen, but real life was gaining on me :) I hope you still enjoy my story and I am sorry for spelling mistakes, if there are any.

- 2 Even though it was winter, the sun was shining and the weather was very warm. Everyone was heading for a relaxing day in the park. Stella, who was now feeling much better, took her grandma for a walk in the park too, thinking that it was the best way to cheer her up.
- 3 - Just a little grandma, said Stella.
- 4 -I really don't stand a chance with you, replied Minerva.
- 5 -See? I knew I could make you smile! Now if you would tell me, just a little...
- 6 One day while Rufus was reading the paper, Letta decided it can't wait any longer. She had to talk to him and tell him the truth.
- 7 She was afraid of his reaction, but she had no other choice. She went, sat down and told him:
- 8 -I'll make this short. I'm pregnant.
- 9 -Oh my God Letta! A baby! That's such a blessing! I am sorry for my reaction, but you have to admit it was extremely unexpected!
- 10 As soon as Letta left the room, Rufus called Ava and asked her to meet him there immediately. She was madly in love with the idea that he could make her a star so she could never refuse anything that came from his part. She rushed to see him.
- 11 -Hmmm, how shall I put it? You make sure that Carmine doesn't come back from war, Letta will be all alone with a baby, she will find out that her love is dead, you will comfort her and eventually she will take you as her husband, because she won't accept that her baby has to grow up without a father. After you marry her you can deal with the baby.
- 12 -Ava! You're a pure genius! Why didn't I think of that?!
- 13 She went to see Letta and tell her the good news.
- 14 Letta's expression changed and she replied with a sad tone of voice:
- 15 Ava told Rufus about their little chat and after a couple of days he decided to make Carmine history. He asked his connections about what was happening on the front and based on that he asked Farah for a little favour. He knew she couldn't refuse since Carmine was at steak. His back was covered with the fact that nobody knew about his country house and he also told everyone that Letta had retired from showbiz and left.
- 16 He finally told Letta that Carmine was never coming back because he died when taken hostage by the enemy. Letta felt like her entire world came down, but she had to be strong for her baby. That child was the only thing that kept her alive.
- 17 - I can't thank you enough for everything that you have done Rufus! said Letta while hugging him.
- 18 While Letta and Rufus were talking, the police silently arrived on the scene blocking the street. A woman got out of one of the cars and rang the door bell.
- 19 When Ava opened, there was this beautiful and tall woman with big brown eyes right in front of her. She immediately noticed the police and knew it must be Rufus that they are after. The woman, with a big smile on her face, asked her:
- 20 - I am sorry miss Greta, but in this house there lives no Rufus Dull.
- 21 Letta heard some noise and went to see what happened and no little was her surprise when she saw Greta.
- 22 Greta didn't get the chance to say anything else because, with all those emotions and her delicate state, Letta's water broke and the baby was on its way.
- 23 While everybody was focusing on Letta, Rufus was making his exit out of this sticky situation through the back door. Not to mention that he was furious!
- 24 -Don't worry honey, we'll get you to the hospital right now, said Greta.
- 25 After a few days she got out of the hospital and took her baby home where they would start a new life together. Greta was by her side all the time. She really felt glad that she had found her again and Letta was feeling safe.
- 26 - I am so glad my baby is home now Greta.
- 27 Meanwhile, in a dark place, evil was licking his wounds.
- 28 Back at the house, Farah arrived for a visit or so she claimed.
- 29 - You are right, said Farah, I actually came to give you a big surprise!
- 30 - Carmine! Oh my dear Carmine!
- 31 Later that night, when all the emotion settled down and after Carmine met his child, they were alone in their room. She couldn't believe how lucky she was to have him back. They talked and talked and he told her everything that happened and that he wanted to spend what's left of his days by her side. Letta gladly....
- 32 - Grandma, let's go home, Stella interrupted her Grandmother's story.
- 33 She got up fast and started walking home. Minerva followed her as she was uncertain what had caused Stella to act like that and uncertain about what to do. She thought that she would try to find out more when they would get home.
- 34 The next chapter will be the last chapter from the story. Will Rufus get his revenge? What was that big favour that Rufus asked Farah to do? Will Kara get out of the hospital and will they get their bar back? Will Carmine and Letta's story have a happy ending? All in the last chapter of "The Story of Letta Divine"
- A little what sweetheart? replied Minerva puzzled.
- A little from your story!
- Oh Stella, please not now. Grandma is not at her best...
Stella interrupted her grandmother and said:
- No way Grandma! You have to be ok, in two days we're receiving a new year and we have to be jolly, remeber what you told me? You said: "Stella, if you're jolly in this special night, you'll be jolly all year round!"
-I don't...
-NO! Wait....that was what dad told me! But anyway..it's true for you too, isn't it?
-I loved Grandpa a lot too and you know that Grandma, but it's better if you let go. I don't like to see you sad, please Grandma! begged Stella.
Minerva was surprised at her words. She felt like she was talking to a much older person.
-I just can't believe it's been two years already since he passed away...
-I can't either, but you have to let go Grandma, you're always missing him and feeling sad at THIS time of year because I could feel you were sad even on Christmas. You still have me and dad and mum and my hamster and K...
-Ok, ok Stella! said Minerva smiling.
-Oh, allright!
And Minerva started her story once more:
Time was passing and things were not going so well for Letta. Carmine was still at war and she had absolutely no news from him. She had heard that there were some attacks, but everything was very vague. Since she was having a break with her shows, Rufus asked her to go on a mini vacation to the countryside. She accepted because she had no other choice and waiting was very painfull. She thought she could meet new people and make new friends while waiting for Carmine to return.
-Do you have a minute? I really need to talk to you, it's very important.
Rufus put his newspaper aside and replied:
-Of course you can,you have all my attention, as always! Come sit next to me on the couch!
After a short silence Rufus shouted:
-What?! What do you mean?! You can't be pregnant! What are you talking about? Is this a joke? It's a bad one I'm telling you!
-Rufus! I am very serious. I am pregnant. With Carmine.
Rufus didn't know what to say. All his plans and effort meant nothing now. After a few deep breaths, his face lighted up and he said:
-I know Rufus, it was unexpected to me too! But I am very happy about it and I am sorry if I messed up your plans with the upcoming shows, but...
-You most certainly have not! I can't wait too see if it's a girl or a boy! We have to buy new furniture and set up a room for that precious thing!
-Rufus...
-Yes?
-Do you have any news on Carmine?
-Oh Letta, I promissed that you will be the first person to know if I find something out. There hasn't been any news from the front in a long time.
-What am I to do? I miss him terrible and not knowing anything about him makes me so sad.
-Don't be sad my shining star. You have to protect the baby! Time will tell, I am sure he is ok. now go and take a long bubble bath to relax!
-That's a great idea! Thank you once more for your support! Thank you so much!
-My darling Rufus, what seems to be the problem?she asked while caressing him.
-Letta...is pregnant Ava. With Carmine!
-That is not unexpected. You should be glad.
-What? Why? Are you crazy?
-No, you see, if he doesn't come back from the front she will be unprotected with a baby. You could help.
-And raise that child? No Ava you are mad!
-I could help you, but there is always a price...
-Name it!
-I want to be a star, Rufus, I want to be famous!
-That is all? You know that is not a problem for me. But you have to move in this house until she has her baby. I want to have her under surveilance all the time. She thinks of you as a friend, make sure you become more than a friend, become her shadow!
-Anything else?
-We'll see.
-Good, replied Ava with a wide smile on her face.
-My dear friend!
-Ava! It's so nice to see you here!
-Really?
-Yes! Of course! Ever since Greta and Kara went missing, you were the only one who stood by my side and I thank you for that!
-Oh, you are too kind! Then I am sure you will be happy to hear that Rufus has asked me to stay here and help you during your pregnancy!
-This is great! I am so glad that you accepted. You both are great friends!
-Don't even mention it, it's my pleasure and you know it! Say Letta...
-Yes?
-Do you have any news on Carmine?
-No Ava, it's like he never existed...
-I don't want to be mean, but have you thought about the fact that he might be lost forever?
-Many times and it is breaking my heart!
-What are you going to do if that happens? Have you thought about your child? You can't let a child grow without a father!
-Oh Ava, I really don't know what to do...
-Pay more attention to people around you, maybe if you would take Rufus more seriously...
-I can't take anyone seriously until I find out what happened to Carmine!
Ava and Rufus were by her side all the time and Rufus was treating her like a queen and seemed to love that baby as if it was his own.
- You don't have to thank me, you know I care so much about you...I love you Letta!
- Even if I'm having Carmine's baby?
- My whole world spinns around you Letta and if that baby is part of you, he is part of me too and I already love that child as if it was mine! You know that.
Letta didn't reply because she was afraid that he would go too far and that she would hurt his feelings by rejecting him. She just smiled and went to her room to relax. After all she was due anytime.
- Good evening. May I speak to Rufus Dull please.
- Rufus Dull? I am sorry, this must be a mistake...
- No, this is not a mistake, Rufus Dull lives here.
- No, miss...?
- My name is Greta and I wish to speak to Rufus.
What Greta didn't know was that they were prepared in case the police would discover them. Ava would drag the time while he escaped.
- I don't know who you are, but I am very sure that he does live here.
- My name is Ava and I live here because I am helping my friend with her pregnancy.
- May the officers search the home please?
- Sure, go ahead, replied Ava certain that by now Rufus had escaped.
-Greta?!
-Oh my God! Letta dear! I can't believe it's you! You're going to have a baby!
They hugged eachother and Letta asked what had happened with them and what's with all that police outside. Greta told her the whole story and that Kara was in a mental hospital. Letta couldn't believe that Rufus, the man who was so gentle and kind, the one she thought to accept as the father of her child, was such an evil person.
-I don't want anything bad to happen to my baby!
They got into a police car and at the hospital Letta gave birth to a healthy and beautiful baby boy.
Ava was taken into custody, but Rufus was still free and that was the only thing bothering both of them. A police officer was always at their house for protection in case Rufus came by.
- He is one beautiful boy and he looks a lot like his father!
- Yes, he has a lot from Carmine...I am just sad that he isn't around to see him grow up...
- Let go Letta, it's not healthy.
- I just can't, I will love him my entire life Greta, my entire life!
-Why me? What have I done to deserve this? Why now? Why now when everything was going so well? I can't understand why! I have to start all over again, but how will I convince Letta that I am not a bad guy! The truth is that I am not a bad guy, it's just that some people don't see things my way...
- May we help you? I think you got the wrong adress...said Greta.
- Thank you for this warm welcome darling, I appreciate it. Actually I came to see Letta and her beautiful boy and not you. You can go now...
- Cut it out you two! It's not the place and moment.
- A big surprise?
- Yes, you'll never guess who it is!

Farah didn't get the chance to say anything else because Letta saw her surprise and instantly leaped in his arms!
- I'm finally home Letta! I missed you so so much! You can't even imagine what I have been through!
- I am glad that you are alive and right here by my side! We'll get to raise our child together!
Greta was also happy to see Carmine and Farah seemed to enjoy the fact that she was the one who made it happen.
- Is something wrong? Why do you have that look on your face? replied Minerva.
- Nothing, let's just go!
