I had to split it up because I can't have more than a few slides....

I had to split it up because I can't have more than a few slides.... Jade and Becky sat by the fire. They were lost in the bush at night- a scary situation.

Soon enough, they ran out of things to talk about. The camp-fire fell silent. Becky listened to the gentle rush of the waves. It was a soothing noise.
All of a sudden, a huge roar filled the air. The girls leaped up form the fire-site and ran towards the source of the noise. Both were scared out of their wits, and it took all of Jade's courage to investigate. She stopped just before a clearing, and peered over some bushes. The head of a giant, standing bear peeped through above the wild sun-flowers.
Jade jumped back in fear. She grabbed her sisters hand and they ran back to the campsite. Instructing Beck to do the same, Jade grabbed a handful of sand and threw it onto the fire. Soon the sisters were left cowering in the darkness. Becky shivered. "I'm scared," she whispered. She reached out her arms, asking her sister for a hug.
Jade pushed her away. "No," she snorted. "We're stuck out here in the cold wilderness, with some blood-thirsty bear creeping around, and you expect me to hug you?! You're the whole reason we're stuck here!" The two girls were two tired to argue. Silent;y, they crept behind some bushes and started to build a sandcastle. It was a last-ditch attempt to stay awake and alive.
Eventually, with nothing but a mound to show for her efforts, Becky stood up and rubbed her eyes. She couldn't stay awake any longer. She crawled over to where her sister was sitting, cross-legged and staring out to see. Jade looked tired, also. But she refused to sleep until she was sure they'd be safe. The girls engaged each other in mindless chatter to keep themselves awake. Together they sat, kept awake by fear and desperation. They sat on the cold, windy beach and longed for day to come. To came and end their time in the darkness.
