Immigration delays - again!
Posted On Jun 13, 2008 | Click here to comment
What a great way to spend my birthday :( we have just found out there has been another delay - I can't believe it the visa officer says that due to the amount of fake documents they get we need to get vault copies of all the documents we need which basically puts us back another 3 to 6 months (!!!!) :( we are all devastated (especially my little guy) - we are not giving up though and will go apply for the vault copies and then try again - its just so frustrating after 6 months to basically have to start all over again because other people are not truthful  anyway I suppose its not the end of the world we will just try again.
Immigration and computer worries
Posted On Jun 09, 2008 | 1 Comments
Well after months of planning, stressing and running around we are finally on the final stage of our immigration planning and if there are no more delays should be leaving SA at the end of July.
To keep my site updated I was planning to build a ton of lots and then set them to release slowly over the next few months till such time as we are settled on the other side.
Unfortunately after completing 3 lots (and before saving them!) my computer has died without any warning and since we are leaving soon we have decided not to replace it. Now I am working from my laptop with is great for getting on the net and my work but not really not set up to run the sims2. I am hoping to still be able to get a few lots done on the laptop but they will have to be base game only as that is all I can run on here (although I want to try uni and see if I can get it to work) :-)
Anyway, this is the start of a new adventure for our family and we are all very excite (and stressed at at this point) but I am very glad to know that no matter where in the world I go I will still be able to keep contact with everyone here on TSR.
Regards

Hi everyone, I know I have been not around much but my kids are on summer holidays here is South Africa and they are keeping me rather busy.
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has left a comment on one of my creations, I appreciate each and everyone of them and will get around to thanking you all individually as soon as the kiddies are back at school and I have some time for myself again :-)
Till then let me just say thank you and I hope you have had a great start to the new year.

I hope you all had a magical Christmas and that 2008 will be full of excitement, love and peace for everyone!
I was extremely spoiled by my very special Secret Santa, Evi, whom I have admired for ages for all her amazing kids creations! She created a set of special Christmas PJs for the sim version of my real kids :-)
They are over the moon with 'their' PJs and I just love it!
Thank you so much for this amazing gift I will always treasure it.
Introducing my new family member

Its been two long months sine we said good bye to our beloved Magenta. Since then our house has seemed extremely empty without her following me around all day long.
Initially I was not interested in getting another dog as I did not want to ‘replace’ her, however my kids have been begging us to reconsider and I could see how much they needed a puppy to love and play with.
My husband and I eventually agreed and after many hours of research we decided on getting a Dalmatian puppy.
We were very lucky to find a lady selling pups just around the corner from where we stay and when we went to look at them I just fell in love with a little lady that has one blue eye and one brown. Needless to say she came home with us the same night.
We have named her Blue and she has settled beautifully. She has already been for her first set of inoculations, chewed up all the fingers and toes in the house and stolen the hearts of everyone she comes into contact with.
I had Dals growing up and know how excitable they can be so we have already found a local puppy school and will be taking her for training early in the new year.
Welcome home Blue!

The TSR Select Artists have all been hard at work to create lots, clothing and object for the Retro Theme Week.
From my side there is a Retro night club (Club Neutron) and 7 pieces of clothing for girls, teens and adult sims.
I hope everyone will enjoy our creations.
Best wishes,

I have been so inspired since getting BV that I have started creating holiday destinations to please all the sim.
Recently I posted Waves Edge Apartments and the Lost City Resort. I'm currently working on a sea side village and a mountain lodge.
I hope you are all having fun with BV!
A sad day

Hi guys, I appologise for not being round much but I have been dealing with some personal problems - our poor little sausage dog has been suffering for the past two months - we have been to the vet about twice a week trying different treatments - he first thought she might have meningitis but more test showed that she has a genetic spinal problem and we have been trying different medications to see if we can give her a good life, however my hubby and I finally decided that we are just prolonging her suffering and after discussing our options with the vet we agreed to have her put to sleep on the 5th of September.
Our hearts are broken and we are all still trying to wrap our minds around the idea that she is no longer with us. My kiddies are devastated as we have had her for as long as they can remember.

Thank you all for understanding.
