Thankyou everyone for reading my story *hugs* Hope you all enjoy the next chapter "Where do you need to go?" He asked so kindly. I thought about it for a while. "Going to the city" I replied without making direct eye contact. "You do realise that's a 3 day trip...by car"
".....oh okay..." I went to get out of the car and grab my bike out of the trunk.
"Wait! I can take you there, I don't mind"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes of course I am, we can stay at a motel tonight if you like? It's going to be a long trip" He smiled. "Thank-you" stay at a motel with him? What was I thinking!! And why is he helping me?? I just hope nothing bad happens.... "I know a good motel that's not too far from here" He started the car and started to drive. It was a very quiet drive with neither of us saying much. After about 10-15 minutes we arrived at the motel, Michael payed for a room and we went and parked in front of it. I was so nervous, and tired at the same time from riding my bike all day. My legs were sore all over as I got out of the car. I walked into the room to find one double bed, I gulped.
"I'll sleep on the couch" Michael offered.
"Okay" I nodded and went into the bathroom to have a shower and get dressed out of my stinky, sweaty clothes. I walked out of the bathroom after about 20 minutes to find Michael already asleep on the couch with all the lights still on, I went around and turned them all off then turned my bedside lamp on so I could see what I was doing. As I went to get into bed I stubbed my toe on the bedside table, I tried to muffle my scream as best I could but it REALLY hurt. The thump woke Michael up.
"Get some rest" He said sleepily.
"Goodnight" I turned off my lamp. "Mmph night" He mumbled as he closed his eyes again. I closed my eyes and fell asleep. I heard the birds chirping as I rose from my bed, I looked over at the couch to find Michael gone. I heard cluncking and clattering in the kitchen. "Oh hey you're up, sorry if I woke you"
"No you didn't, what's the time?"
"hmm 6:30"
"Well I had a nice sleep in" Michael just laughed. "We'll have to leave soon" Michael said in between spoonfulls of cereal.
I finished my cereal and placed my bowl on the sink. "I'll wash the dishes you can go and get dressed" Michael started running hot water into the sink, opened a little packet of detergant that he found in the cupboard and started scrubbing. I went into the bathroom to have a quick bath before we headed out. I hopped out of the bath, unzipped my bag and searched for some clothes. I dried my hair with a hair dryer that I found in the bathroom and I tied my hair up. I couldn't decide what looked good I must of tried a hundred different hair styles.
"Come on we gotta get going"
"Alright" I yelled from the bathroom, I left my hair in pig tails grabbed my bag. And headed out the door. "So where are we going?"
"I told you, the city"
"Yeah I know but what's in the city?" "My...mother" I slumped into my chair hoping he wouldn't ask any more questions.
"Oh okay, why do you want to see your mother? Why isn't your father taking you?"
"I...I ran away if you must know, I left my father in the country for a better life with my mother"
"So your father doesn't know where you are?"
 "He would have figured it out by now and I don't want to talk about it can we just go now?"
"I'm not going to drive unless you call your dad and tell him where you are"
"Well why do you care so much? and why are you helping me!??!?"
"I'll tell you after you call him" I huffed and got out of the car. Pulled out my mobile and called him. "Hey dad just called to tell you i'm fine, okay bye"
"Wait! Where are you? What are you doing? Where have you been?" "I'm just out!"
"Where are you? When are you coming back?"
"I'm not coming back dad" "You've gone to find your mother haven't you?"
"No! So what if I have?"
"I told you Nicole--"
"I don't care what you told me!" I hanged up the phone. Got back into Michael's charger, and slammed the door. "I called my stupid dad" I huffed.
"What did he say?"
"He said have a nice trip now tell me why your helping me!"
"Well......"
