Ahh I miss the days where I could post a story everyday, but I just don't have that much free time anymore. With school stuff and now I'm taking care of a stray kitten and trying to find him a home, so if by any chance you know of someone that lives near Melbourne and they want a kitten. He needs a loving home, and I can't keep him and give him the attention he deserves, having already 3 cats and 2 dogs. Sorry don't mean to sound like an advertisement. Well on to the next part.

I woke up in the middle of the night and opened my eyes to find the room bright, but it was dark outside. It took me a few seconds to realise that the light must be on, I turned over to find Michael reading my copy of Jane Eyre. "What? are you reading?" I asked still half asleep.
"I uhh walked past your bag and knocked it whilst on my way to get a drink of water and this book fell out....." He told me waiting to see if I was angry or not. "What do you think of it?"
"I like it so far but I can't beleive Mr. Rochester is married! Poor Jane" Michael told me "And she's had such a sad upbringing aswell" I couldn't help but stare at him. Jane Eyre was my favourite novel of all time and here he was telling me that he liked it. I think I love him. That thought crossed my mind and I immediately screwed up my face, I couldn't love him. I had only known him a couple of days, it is impossible to love him after such a short time. "What's that look for?" His words jolted me back to reality and to his dreamy eyes......"I was uhh just thinking about the whole thing with Mr. Rochester, I couldn't beleive he was married too! And that his wife was insane!" I quickly lied.
"Oh" he sighed and stared at the ceiling. "Do you ever sleep?" the words just poured out of my mouth, well I was curious.
"Of course I sleep" He laughed.
"Well you're always awake....that's all" I said, trying not to make direct eye contact.
"I get up early and I'm awake now because I was reading your book and I got sucked into it" he smiled. "Alright, well I'm going back to sleep" I turned over to go back to sleep. I don't know what it was, but I didn't beleive what Michael had said, I had no reason to doubt him, well maybe I do but I don't know. Something about what he said didn't seem right. I woke up to the aroma of omelettes. hmm my favourite, that was a strange coincidence, he made omelettes, I thought to myself. I wonder how he knew they were my favourite? Is he some weird mind reader? No that wouldn't explain him never sleeping. Maybe he reads minds and he just never sleeps? I stopped myself from that train of thought, it was stupid. It was just a coincidence and he told me that he does sleep. "Are you alright?"
"Oh yeah I'm fine, why?"
"You just looked in a very deep thought" I told you mind reader!
"Yeah I was" "About?" he questioned. None of your damn business, I thought but didn't say outloud. Then that was the only sentence I could think of to tell him, I wasn't going to tell him I thought he was a non sleeping mind reader either, so I stayed silent.
"You don't have to tell me, I just wanted to know" "I wasn't really thinking about anything, just a lot of random stuff all at once" I told him hoping that he didn't want to know any of my thoughts, and why did I have to tell him my thoughts, they're mine! Even though there was a lot of hostility in my head I didn't say anything like that out loud, which I'm glad for because Michael was really kind and understanding, and I didn't want to...I don't know now I'm getting all mushy. "You're doing it again" He laughed.
"Doing what?" suddenly confused.
"Your off in deep thought, you probably didn't hear what I just asked you did you?" Oh great now I was on the spot, I hadn't been listening to him.
"Hello?"
"No I didn't hear your question, what did you ask me?" "Do you want to have a shower or something and then leave? We have to head out pretty soon if you want to get there tonight"
"Oh...yeah alright" I got up and went into the bathroom, leaving my omelette. I ran some hot water and filled up the tub, I luckily found some bubble mix in the cupboard in the bathroom and poured it in. I hopped in the bath, and now with some peace and quiet time to think, well sort of I could hear Michael banging and clanging cleaning up after breakfast. Okay I mean know one can read minds, and if he could he would laugh at all my thoughts I just know it. I rested my head on the surprisingly cold back of the bath, hmm if I only had my Ally Mcbeal cd with me. I closed my eyes and tried to think of a logical explanation for everything. I got out of the bath, got dressed, dried my hair as best I could in the fastest amount of time possible, grabbed my bag and ran out the door to find Michael already in the car waiting for me. Michael gave the keys back to the owner and we were off for another long drive. "Do you want to stop and get something to eat?" He asked as it was well past lunch time.
"Yeah, I'm a bit hungry" I smiled. I went to find us somewhere to sit and order us something for lunch as Michael disappeared somewhere, I think he said he was going to the toilet. Michael came back after a few minutes, he seemed very excited, I couldn't pin point why. A huge grin crossed his face as he slid a small black box my way......
