You can hear the alarm blaring in the background. I held the door open, then ran to Jason. "I'm so sorry Jason, I'm so sorry!"
"It's alright Penny"
 "Come on, we have to go now!" "We can't go yet"
"What why??"
"I have to get Max!"
"Who's Max??"
"I'll explain later" Jason's eyes looked like they were starting to get heavy, he slipped out of my hands. and fell on the floor. "Come on Cooper, turn your light off and go to sleep"
"I am"
"I know you were reading"
"Just give me 5 more minutes?"
"Alright, 5 more minutes then I'm coming in and turning the light off" I couldn't help but notice Cooper's alien poster. I sighed and left Cooper's room. I'm happy to say that I'm keeping on top of my assignments for college. I still want to become a vet, nothing can stop me from becoming one. But I still have 3 more years of College to go before I graduate and a lot of things can happen in that time. I hope I'll still be able to manage all my school work, and going to my classes with a little one running around. There's no doubt in my mind that's it's going to be a challenge. But I'm getting my practice with Cooper. I made sure Cooper was asleep, then I decided to head to bed myself. I made breakfast and was starting to clean up when the phone rang. "I'll do whatever you want, but please let me call my girlfriend to tell her I'm alright. I won't say anything but I'm alright I promise!"
"Well.....I'm sure we can arrange something"
 "You can have one phone call, you may tell her you are alright but that is all, I don't need to remind you what will happen if you do something stupid" Jason gulped as he picked up the phone and looked at the electricution machine. "Penny It's me....I just called to say I'm alright" "Jason, It's so good to hear your voice, I'm so sorry, where are you??!?" "It's okay Penny, you only did what you thought was right" Jason looked over to the agent, his mind was made up he had to tell Penny.
"Penny, I'm in some government---" The agent pulled the phone line. "I told you what would happen, if you tried to tell her where you were" After Jason cut out, I immediately called Kaylee to see if she could trace the number. "It's going to take a while, why don't you make your way over here and we can figure out where he is?"
"Sure, be there as soon as I can" "Did he say anything to you about his location?"
"He said he's in some government-- then he cut out"
"I'm running a trace on the number now...It's not giving me a specific location, but it's coming from about 120km away. I'm checking the database now for any government places in that radias......There's an abandoned military base close to where the phone signal was coming from?" "He must be there then?"
"What exactly are you going to do now?"
"I'm going to get Jason"
"How do you expect to do that by yourself?"
"I don't know" I started to cry "All I know is I've got to try" "It's okay Penny, he'll come back I promise" "I have a better idea though, to get him back. I'd like you to meet someone, he has been in prison but he's the best guy for the job"
"Are you sure I can trust him though?" "I'm sure" I turned around to see him behind me.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to--"
"That's alright most people judge you before they get to know you, I wouldn't expect you to be any different" I was this close to full on yelling at him. But he was going to be my only chance to help Jason so I remained quite. "She needs to get into an abandoned military base Andrew"
"Security?"
"I don't know"
"I'll check that out then, when do we need to get into this military base?" "As soon as possible" I butted in.
"I'll check the security but we should be able to, tonight 8 o'clock, I'll meet you at the gas station near the base" Then he left. "You're going out with him aren't you?"
"So what if I am?"
"Nothing.....he's cute, but he's been in prison!!"
"Well at least I already know all the bad things about him, that way no unwanted suprises"
"Just be careful that's all" "Congratulations Jason, your baby is an alien"
"No he's not" he took his glasses off. "How many guys do you know of having baby's? Your baby is an alien, he make look like any normal human baby, even his x-rays wouldn't make you think any different. We took a blood sample Jason, the make up of his genetics are completely alien, so congratulations he's going to be a science experiment for the rest of his alien life" Jason's blood began to boil, but he remained calm.
"Can I see him?"
"Sure, why not?" A nurse wheeled in Maxwell. He couldn't beleive that he had an alien son. He didn't care though, he only wanted Maxwell to be safe and he knew he couldn't be safe in that place. "Come on, let's wrap it up Nurse take the baby" He took Maxwell away from Jason. But Jason was determined to help Maxwell and himself escape. "Are you sure you're up to doing this? Breaking into this military base? I mean in your condition?"
"YES! I am perfectly capable!" I said rather hostile. "It was all my fault and the least I can do is come and help!" "Just stay here for a minute"
"I'm not staying here!"
"Keep it down, or we'll get caught"
"Come on then" We started walking down a long corridor. We came to a lockded door, Andrew pulled out a swiss army knife and started to pick the lock.
"Okay now you really have to stay here! Jason has to be in one of these rooms along here, wait here and keep this door gate open"
"Fine!" Then he was gone. I heard the alarm start to go off. I was about to run when I saw Jason and Andrew coming round the corner. I kissed him, then he told me he needed to get Max. Without telling me who Max was, Jason fainted. Andrew bent down and slapped Jason across the face. Jason immediately got up.
"We've got to get Max"
"Penny run outside and get the car started, we'll get Max" He grabbed my hands "Be careful."
What was that all about, I was thinking as I ran to the car. "What was with you and my girlfriend??"
"Nothing, I just think of her as my little sister that's all, I think I've found Max, what's with you and this kid anyway" Jason Pushed past Andrew. "He's my son!" Jason ran into the room
"Get away from my son or.....I'll......be.....Forced to use my alien powers on your brain"
"Woah, just take him, I don't care just take the baby!!" Jason picked up Maxwell and ran out the door. "Come on, we gotta go!" "Hold it right there!!!!"
