THE VAN HELSING CHRONICLES ~~PART V

Our story continues, War rages on throughout Europe, so do the wars in the Van Helsing and Harker and Nightwood homes...Edward Van Helsing impatiently waits for his meeting with Sabrina...

Edward's lip curled in abhorrence when Sabrina walked into the room. He really could not abide being anywhere in her presence.
"Alright, I am here at your insistence. Make this quick, as I have other plans this evening. You wish to discuss the boy." Edward said without emotion.
Sabrina snorted inwardly. 'Other plans'...and she knew with whom!
"The 'boy', as you call him has a name, Aidan, and he is your son Edward! You have hardly had anything to do with him these last couple of years! He needs male guidance, guidance only you can provide! He is your flesh and blood!" Sabrina snapped defensively.

Edward felt his anger begin to boil over, he fought hard to control it, but in Sabrina's presence, it was next to impossible.
My flesh and blood!? He was not conceived out of love,
I do not want anything to do with him, or you! You fill me with loathing Sabrina! He is a constant reminder of my mistake! And mark my words, he is a mistake!!" Edward said harshly through his clenched teeth.

Neither Edward nor Sabrina heard Aidan come into the room.
"How can you say that? What an abhorent thing to say! You have become hateful, Edward Van Helsing!" Sabrina cried, her voice laced with exasperation.

"Only as far as you are concerned. Do not forget what you have done to me, the curse I live with, you started this whole tragic chain...live with the consequences. Again, I say I want nothing to do with you or the child. And I will not allow you to insinuate yourself into my life!" Edward cried vociferously.
Aidan looked at his father with complete loathing. His face was burning red hot with hostility.
He quietly and with a great amount of stealth backed out of the room. He would make his father sorry one day, how dare he speak to my mother so! How dare he call me a mistake!
Sabrina began to wave her arms in the air in frustration. "Your Life! You cannot have Mina, so you are sniffing around my stupid cousin? She will reject you as Mina did...why can you not see I am the only woman for you? I happily accept what and who you are, I embrace it!" Sabrina cried passionately.

Before Edward could even respond, she grabbed him in a death-like grip and began to smother him with kisses. She moved so quickly and with such agility, Edward was totally caught off guard. His eyes widened in complete surprise, and revulsion. He pushed her away roughly. "You are twisted, Sabrina. There is something amiss in you, a kind of humanity. You are delusional, spoiled and altogether dangerous. I will never turn to you, ever again. I do not know how many ways to say it to make you understand. I will concede one thing...Aidan is my son. I will take some responsibility for the boy, but up to a point. I will decide when and where to see the child, and you will be nowhere near." Edward hissed contemptuously. Edward began to walk away. "We will not be meeting alone ever again. If you wish to discuss the child in future, you will either write me or we will meet with Uncle Harrison present. I have had enough of your overwrought behaviour, your childish outbursts...it ends here. Goodbye."

Sabrina felt her resentment and hostility rumble furiously. How DARE he reject her yet again?
She watched him leave and close the door.
She loathed him! And she still wanted him.
Edward did indeed call on Sophronia Carberry while she was staying with her Uncle Harrison and Aunt Laura. The couple were in each other's company nearly every evening.
Sabrina watched from the background, her every fibre seething with jealousy.
On this particular night, Edward has come over to say good-bye, as Sophronia was returning to Scotland.
Edward leaned in and gave her a tender kiss. "My dear, tell me you will be returning soon." he whispered huskily.

Sophronia was thrilled beyond belief, both by his kiss and his invitation. Edward exuded such masculine grace and power.
Her heart was fluttering madly. "Sooner than you may think." she whispered back. Sophronia reached up and grabbed Edward by his broad shoulders, pulling him in close.
Yes...much sooner, she thought to herself.
Some months have passed; it was now the early fall of 1915. Mina has received a disturbing letter from Verity She found Raynor and told him of the contents:

"My mother is deathly ill, I must go to her Raynor! She needs me, my family needs me!" Mina's voice vibrated tremulously.

"No." Raynor said firmly. "I cannot allow it."
Mina immediately fell to her knees in front of him. "I have never begged for anything in my life, but I am begging you now, I implore you Raynor, in the name of humanity, if there is even a spark of humanity left you, let me go to my family!"

Raynor was deeply stirred by Mina's passionate plea, however he remained silent, and as motionless as a granite statute.
"I have not seen my parents in close to 10 years, nor the rest of my family! I cannot bear it any longer!" Mina continued, her voice awash in emotion. "If my mother should die, and I never went to her side, I will never forgive myself! I love them all so, please Raynor!!!"

"Stand up Mina," Raynor said thickly.
Mina began to wipe away her tears. Raynor turned from her, for his face was showing far more emotion than he wished Mina to see. He was silent for a few moments, while he got his feelings under control.
Finally he said, "We shall all go. It is time. I will see to the arrangements to shut up the estate and secure us new lodgings near your family."

Mina could not believe her ears.
She impulsively rushed into his arms. "You are in earnest? You are not mocking me!?" she whispered in disbelief.

Raynor laughed. "No, my sweet, I am not mocking you. Since your mother is so ill, I will allow you and the children to go ahead of me as soon as possible. I will stay behind. Travelling is not easy for a vampire, there is much to plan."
Mina pulled Raynor close. Maybe he does care for me! She thought with some hope.
Raynor returned her embrace; he nuzzled her neck. Then he began to whisper gently, but his gravel voice was laced with a touch of menace. "Listen my sweet, and heed me. You are not to tell anyone I am a vampire. I will take care of that when I arrive. If you do, I cannot answer for the consequences."

Mina began to tremble in his strong arms, out of fear...and love.
Later that same evening, after the children were put to bed, Mina went into the parlour and was surprised to find Raynor had not gone out as usual. He was listening to some classical music on the Victrola.

She sat on the sofa and listened as well. After some time, she turned to him and said, "I would like to hear how you became a vampire. You stated once Count Dracula 'made you'..."
Raynor turned away, his face a mask of hurt, tension and anger.
"I understand if you would rather not talk about it," Mina said quietly.
"No...it is alright. I have not thought or spoken of it for quite sometime. If you wish to know, I will tell you..." Raynor said, his voice thick with uncharacteristic emotion.
*RAYNOR NARRATING*

It was the 1200's. I was a Teutonic knight serving in the Carpathian Mountains. My name then was Raynor Von Nachtwald. My dearest friend and fellow knight was Garrard Volger. You know of him as 'Count Dracula'. Never were two men so inseparable. When he married and stayed behind in Hungary, I stayed behind as well, I could not bear to be separated from him. We loved each other, and thought of each other as brothers.
Garrard was a passionate man; he felt things very deeply. He was everything you would expect in a knight, noble, chivalrous, honourable. But he had a fearsome temper, and it was not prudent to cross him, as our many opponents over the years found out.
When his wife and infant son died in childbirth, he changed. Vengeance and hatred gripped his soul.
And when the Abbot condemned his loved ones to eternal damnation due to a botched baptism and confession...Garrard was past the point of no return.
On that day, even though he was a loyal knight in the service of Christ, he abandoned God, and cursed the Abbot, swearing revenge with every fibre of his being. He told the Abbot he would rise from his own death and serve only darkness. The Abbot condemned him as such.

Garrard was never the same. He took to his rooms, alone to wallow in his fury and despair. He stopped eating, and became very ill.
I was called to his bedside, I was a hospitaliter, but there was nothing I could do for Garrard. He lost the will to live.
When he died, I saw to it that he was laid to rest in the crypt of his castle. My grief was deep and inconsolable, my sorrow and regret at not being able to reach him was overwhelming.
I had lost my brother, my best friend.
The next night, in my bedchamber, I dreamt Garrard appeared. He was standing next to my bed watching me with great intensity.
He looked pale...his eyes glowed a fiery demonic red. I cannot remember if he spoke.
I do remember the room felt very cold all of the sudden; like the icy breath of death was present.
I sat up, still heavy with sleep. My eyes could not focus.
Garrard began to hiss most horribly. It was a frightful and hideous sound, from the depths of darkness.
He moved toward me with lightening speed, the room grew dark, I remember nothing after that except a deathly cold breath on my neck...then blackness.
I awoke very early the next morning; the sun had not even risen in the sky as yet.
I felt ill, frail and feeble. My neck felt sore, every muscle ached. I had not the strength to get out of bed.
My grief was getting the better of me, I thought...not only affecting my brain, but my body as well.
I lay abed for sometime.
Later that afternoon, I managed to rise from my sick bed, and went to Castle Dracula down into the cold, stone tomb where Garrard was having his eternal rest.
The dream I had was aggravating me greatly. He could not possibly have appeared in my room! I quickly opened the cover of his coffin (what happened to the spikes holding the lid closed, I wondered).
Why, he looked like he was sleeping, not dead! His eyes were closed as peacefully as a sleeping child! However his teeth looked sharp and pointed, his skin almost translucent. Veins were visible on his whitish skin...I could have sworn I saw his chest move!
I let the heavy marble lid slam shut with a sickening thud.
What kind of evil proceedings were these?
That night, Garrard appeared once again, he lured me into a trance, I was frozen; terror had paraylzed me.
I could not speak, nor move.
Those dismal, cold eyes of his pulling me into the depths of darkness, never to return.
It seemed to be a dreadful nightmare; a nightmare that carried its ghastly horror into waking life.
I could not stop him; he sank his sharp fangs into my neck. This was the second and fatal bite he delivered to me; there was no turning back.
A ghastly roaring was screaming in my head. The room grew cold, damp; it was reeking of decay, and the smell of freshly turned earth.
I could not find the will to speak, let alone fight him off.
He released me, my body shook and a perceptible shudder ran through me.
He at last spoke, "Rejoice, Raynor! We are now blood brothers for all eternity!" Garrard cried.
I could hear my own blood rushing through every vein in my body; I felt as if I were falling into a black void, a endless pit filled with unknown terror and evil.
The transformation was painful...my mortal body and soul were being changed, forever altered, I cannot remember if I cried out. An awful nameless panic chilled my spine, a panic borne from mortal horror.
In a matter of moments, the abominable deed was done; I was 'Vampyre', a loathsome creature of darkness.
I hissed at the foul monster that had transformed me. My dear friend had become a demon, a malevolent spirit, and now he had cursed me for all eternity!

"The blood is the life, Raynor and now it is ours! I have given you a great gift!" Garrard cried. He sounded almost joyous!
"Why did you do this? Does your revenge extend even to me, your brother?? You did not even give me a choice! You have pulled me into the pits of wickedness and corruption, where I will suffer the iniquitous torments!" I was overcome with fury, and unrestrained rage.
How he avenged himself on the Abbot, I shuddered to think.
I listened with dread as he explained the 'rules' of my new-life state. I would not be as powerful as Garrard...but in time, my powers would grow. I would be forever tied to him, as he is the one who made me.
I could never destroy him, or I would be destroyed myself.
His dark menacing voice rumbled deeply, he spoke urgently, stating he wanted to keep me with him always, his brother...his friend...to share this wonderous new life-state.
I spat at his foul attempts at an explanation. "I never want to see you again." I hissed with repulsion.
The sun's early morning rays were coming up over the horizon. It was at that moment I knew I would never see another sunrise ever again. We both cowered from the rays. Dracula disappeared in a puff of smoke.
As soon as I was able, I made arrangements to flee; I wound up here in Scotland. I wanted to get as far away as I could from what I had become and far away from Garrard...I do not know if he ever tried to find me.
Raynor was very quiet. Mina was speechless. At last, Raynor sighed. "Ever since that day, I swore I would love no one, give my friendship to no one. I would never allow myself to be hurt again.
I choose to control what I feel, to control everything that touches my life."

Mina was stunned; Raynor speaks of Dracula's hate and revenge, yet he does not recognize the same feelings in his own heart.
Mina impulsively reached for Raynor and embraced him. It explained so much, why the wall around his feelings. Dracula had betrayed his friendship and trust...and love. He took from Raynor something most precious; humanity and compassion.

Raynor let Mina's warmth wash over him, how he had missed it.
Raynor began to kiss Mina, very deeply. She found her self returning his kisses enthusiastically.

"Raynor...I..." Mina's voice trembled. His touch sizzled her, his tantalizing scent enhanced the aura of danger and power that clung to him, leaving her both exhilarated and wretchedly confused.

"Quiet my sweet, do not speak, let us just enjoy each other." Raynor said in a softy husky murmur.
Things progressed quickly. They had not been in each other's arms for a few years, all the pent up feelings came flooding forth for both of them.
Mina never felt so alive, and neither did Raynor. The words of love remained unspoken, but their actions spoke volumes, though neither would ever admit it to themselves or each other.
Back at the Harker's Vic attended his Aunt Laura for many hours each day, administering to her symptoms. There was no doubt she was in the advance stages of Tuberculosis. There was not much he could do but make her comfortable...and wait for the end.
His shoulders slumped in fatigue and sorrow. It was at times like these he wished his medical skills were more acute.
After a few days travel by train, Mina and her children arrived at the Harker Estate. Mina was shocked at the state of her mother, she was pale, drawn and lost a shocking amount of weight.
Mina gave Vic a quick hug to greet her cousin, but Vic's attention was drawn elsewhere...he was staring intensely at Mina's three children.
Alarm bells were going off in his head, for the first time in years. He looked at all three children and went over to Mina and whispered, "They are half-vampire! All three of them! What is this?" Vic hissed.

Mina was floored. "But...but how do..." she sputtered helplessly.
"Never mind how I know, what are you playing at?
Good God Mina, hasn't this family enough to deal with!? You show up now...with all this?" Vic was beginning to get angry.
He was thinking of poor dear Verity; how frail her nerves were at the moment. How easily she came to tears over the slightest thing.
"Vic, I implore you to please keep this to yourself for the time being. You are indeed correct; I do not want to upset everyone, especially with mother so ill. I promise I will tell all when the time is right." Mina pleaded worriedly. "My husband will be joining us soon, all will be explained then."

Vic shook his head sadly. 'For the sake of the family, I will be quiet...for now. But my patience is not limitless, cousin."
Mina left her children with her parent's housekeeper, and then made her way over to the Van Helsing's nearby.
When Verity saw Mina, she ran into her arms. "Oh my darling sister! It has been so long. How I have missed you!" The emotional tears were spilling down Verity's cheeks. Mina hugged her younger sister in return.
Mina looked at her younger sister. She looked pale, the worry was taking its toll. "Any further word on Jon?" she asked kindly.

Verity shook her head. "No, nothing. I suppose we should be thankful, there is still hope. He will be returned to us, I know it!" she cried, her hand shaking in distress. It was obvious to Mina that Verity was on the brink of an emotional breakdown.
As the two sisters caught up on the news since their last letters, Edward was walking down the hall. He froze. There was Mina, he had not seen her in close to 10 years, but here she was, unchanged, beautiful.
Old feelings long thought buried, were being brought to the surface, Mina could still stir his blood, if he were to be truthful...
Mina stopped in mid sentence. There was Edward. Her heart skittered in her chest. He had changed. Gone was the boyish, handsome looking man she once loved. He seemed even more attractive, if that were possible.
He exuded power and virility, much like Raynor. Obviously the vampire in them both.
She supposed a small part of her still loved Edward, if she were to be truthful...
Mina did not hesitate, she ran into Edward's arms. Crossing the gulf of years; the hurt, the cruel words seem to melt away from them both.
All that remained was warmth, friendship and deep regard.
They looked at each other fondly, remembering what they both once shared.
"How wonderful to see you Mina, after all this time. I am sorry the circumstances were not better. How well you look. Are your husband and children with you?" Edward asked pleasantly.

Mina smiled warmly. "The children are, my...husband will join us when he is finished with his business."
"Are you happy Mina, content with your life?" Edward spoke softly.

Mina felt a few warm tears collect on her lashes. "Yes..." she whispered.
Edward saw something flicker briefly in Mina's eyes. He could not quite make it out...fear perhaps?
Mina knew she had to leave or her face would reveal too much. "It was lovely to see you Edward, we will catch up again, but for now, I must return to father, he is in quite an emotional state."
"Of course," Edward murmured. "Give him my best regards, I will be over tomorrow night."
Mina smiled warmly, and walked away.
Edward stood for sometime, thinking of the past. He smiled slightly.
Over at the Harker's, Vic has called in Dr. Colin Blewett, his friend and colleague to examine Laura. He wants his opinion on what course of action there is to take, if any.

He became quite concerned when he found Colin sidelined by Sabrina, who was flirting shamelessly with him. Vic was surprised and puzzled to find Colin seemed to be enjoying her attentions.
He interrupted the couple and pointed Colin in the direction of Laura's room.
"Have you no shame? Your mother lies dying down the hall, and here you are, out for a conquest! Stay away from Colin, he is a good man, not to be sullied by the likes of you! I know what you are Sabrina, remember that!" Vic declared angrily.

Sabrina snarled at her cousin.
'Do-gooder! I never could stand him, thinks he is so superior!' Sabrina thought to herself with bitterness.
"Mind your own business, cousin!" Sabrina spat aloud. "You have a nerve talking to me about conquests! I see the way you look at my sister Verity! The same type of blood flows through our veins, remember that! We have the same wants and needs! And if I wish to amuse myself with the good Doctor, I shall!"

"You are a selfish, loathsome being. I am ashamed we have the same blood!! I will be watching you Sabrina, do not step out of line...and stay away from Colin!" Vic roared.
It is several days later and Laura Harker was slipping away quickly. After all the family members, including her brother Arthur said their tearful good-byes; Vic quietly left the room so his Aunt and Uncle could be alone in Laura's final moments.
Harrison lifted her out of the bed and took her over to the window so she could see the garden, feel the sun on her face one last time. His tears of sorrow were running down his cheeks.
With her last bit of strength. Laura held on to her husband, her arms weakly grasping his neck. She smiled slightly. The sun's radiant rays warmed her face. "I have loved no other but you, all these years. Forgive me my moment of weakness...with your half-brother..." she began to cough.

"My love, all is forgotten and forgiven long ago. Do not distress yourself. It was not your fault. I know that now. Let it go...I have. Know I love you, I always will." Harrison said, his voice shaking.
Harrison gently laid Laura back into her bed, her breathing was ragged now, she was gasping and wheezing; her chest was rattling horribly. Finally she expelled one last long breath. The room was quiet...she was gone.
Harrison clenched his fists in anger and grief. "Oh God, why..." He moaned quietly.
The Funeral of Laura Carberry Harker took place a few days later on an early crisp fall day. Mina made it home in time, barely. Laura succumbed to consumption 2 weeks after Mina's arrival. The graveyard service was held by Vicar Stanhope, The family were gathered together in remembrance and sorrow. After the service, Victor went over to his brother and embraced him. "My dear brother, words cannot express our sympathy..." Victor whispered with great feeling.
The tears were flowing freely from Harrison, as Carolina and Verity looked on sadly.
"I do not know how I will go on..." Harrison choked.
Verity fragile nerves were indeed at the breaking point as Vic and Mina surmised. Jon being missing, Jane's stroke, now her mother's death, she was finding it hard to keep it together. She went to pieces in front of her father. She began to sob uncontrollably; she could not catch her breath. She was literally choking on her sobs.
"Verity! My dear!" Harrison cried with great concern.
Verity quickly collapsed, she was in hysterics, her nerves frayed beyond all reason. Her mother's illness and death were the final straw, she could not hold in her emotions any longer. She cried most piteously. Verity pulled herself in a fetal position.
Vic rushed to her side, and before anyone else could react, he quickly gathered her in his strong arms.
He whispered to her, calming her down. Her breathing started to regulate at last, but the tears still flowed. Vic's deep voice caressed Verity, soothing her. "There my darling Verity, that's it, calm yourself."
Carolina and Victor exchanged concerned looks. It was obvious their oldest son was in love with Verity Van Helsing...very deeply. Vic carried Verity to the carriage.
Vic took Verity home, and gently helped her out of the carriage. The tears were still spilling onto her pale cheeks, but she was not as distraught as before. She went over to Vic and grabbed his broad shoulders, looking into his dark intense eyes.
"Thank you Vic, I do not know what I would have done without you there today." she whispered softly.
Verity suddenly grabbed Vic and began to kiss him, not a friendly kiss, but a kiss full of yearning, promise, and deep feeling and longing.
Vic wrapped his arms around Verity and enthusiastically returned her kiss.
God, how long he has wanted this.
Verity immediately backed away, a look of regret and surprise on her face. "That should not have happened..." she said, her voice raspy with emotion. "Pray forgive me; I am not myself. It will not happen again."

"Verity..." Vic said, his voice rumbling with passion. "Please..."
Verity ran for the house. Vic stood; he did not follow her. His eyes glazed over with a few mournful tears; his heart was aching most intensely. Never had he felt such loneliness.
He could no longer stay at the Van Helsing's. He would have to move out as soon as possible.
He was in love...with his best friend's wife. He had to put distance between them...and now.
In France, Jon Van Helsing is slowly making a recovery. He finally is out of his coma, but sadly, does not remember anything at all before waking up in the makeshift hospital.
He is still weak, but thankfully most of his wounds have healed, with no lasting physical scars.
However the deep physiological scars were still raw, and hindering his memory's return.
"What is to become of me?" Jon asked Sister Maria one afternoon. "I remember nothing or no one!"

Sister Maria patted the man's arm. "You will stay here with us for the time being. As you get stronger, perhaps you can assist us with caring for the other men, it would be a great help." she said kindly.
Jon stared at the young nun. He was very grateful for all her care. She spoke to him with such warmth.
"Of course sister, anything I can do to help." Jon said.

"Actually, I am a novice. I haven't taken my vows as yet. The war has interrupted a lot of things." Maria said quietly. "You will need a name while you are here, how about Paul?"

Jon smiled. "Paul suits me fine."
At Carfax Estate, it is early dusk, just dark enough for vampires to begin moving about without worrying about the sun's most harmful rays. Raynor has arrived at last...and has apperated in the rooms of Dracula.
He began to rub his hands together in anticipation of the confrontation to come...Raynor could not wait for Garrard to see his face!
Raynor waited...finally Dracula walked into his rooms. From the corner of darkness came a voice; one Dracula thought he would never hear ever again. It was filled with
quiet hostility and intense smugness.
Raynor began to chuckle softly at Dracula's reaction.
For Dracula's heart leapt at the sound of Raynor's deep gravel voice. His dear friend...here!
"Well Garrard...how long has it been? Close to 600 years!? Now here we are at last...turn and look at me, see what you have created!" Raynor hissed in an icy, abhorrent tone.
Dracula was filled with a foreboding he had not felt in many years. He slowly turned...

Your period detail is excellent (you even find out the brand names of phonographs \:D ), so I hate to point this out, but why is your undead fifteenth-century knight wearing Victorian evening dress? \;\) Seriously, though, I remain rivetted to your saga. Tragedy heaps on tragedy, and it becomes possible to synpathise with everyone (while not necessarily approving of them). I even have a small amount of sympathy for Sabrina, and quite a lot for that little monster Aidan... yet I haven't "gone off" Edward, exactly. Actually, the way you portray the psychological effects of vampirism - as a subtle degeneration of human feeling that can be resisted - makes them far more effective characters than Anne Rice's self-pitying, fatalistic brood, or the comic-book monsters of Buffy (who, having no soul, have no capacity to choose good instead of evil, and are thus totally useless and uninteresting as characters). In my utterly worthless opinion, anyway... \:D

I was sorry to read of poor laura's passing, but you fit these things in so perfectly. Taking the pieces of real history and mingling them with your version of this tale!
I'm starting to wish someone would either take a stake to Sabrina(I know she's living, but why let such a small thing stop us?\;\) ) or lock her up somewhere where she can cause no more trouble!

Such a wonderful job. I really like how Raynor and Mina finally showed their true feelings for each other. And how in the end you show us Raynot is still a "bad guy" hehehe!
Well, I guess he does have some reason to hate Dracula, but he should learn to forgive - it would make him a happier person/vampire. \:\)

The scene with Harrison holding Laura during her last moments really got to me! The one with Verity at the cemetery was also quite emotional! I loved the part were Raynor tells Mina his ?turning?! I?m glad Edward and Victor are telling Sabrina off (I can?t stand her, lol)! Again, your decorations, scene setup, and costumes, all of it is outstanding! Fantastic chapter thank-you! \:wub\: \:rah\: \:rah\: \:rah\: \:rah\:

Emotional chapter, lots of grief and tragedy. I concur with Hordriss, your Vampires are wonderfully multi-layered, neither all good or bad, emotional problems without going over the edge of 'self-pity'. The narrative of Raynor's transformation was steeped in gothic greatness! Well done once again!\:cool\:

Wow! Cheering on Raynor and Mina! The ending I personally wanted... fusion reaction... wonderful!!!

Extraordinary shots, really beautiful exchange between Laura and her husband, although hard to read, but that's because it's so good!

Edward...man, you need to get over it. TOO HOT for your own good!

Vic and Verity...I suppose at this point he needs to move on, although she's the one who came onto him. He's such a beautiful man, you really need to do something for him.

Once again, absolutely perfect. I adore the characters and am completely involved. The shots are fantastic! \:rah\: \:rah\:

Just when you think something good will come out of all the drama, another tradegy strikes. Although for Jon Van Helsing and Sister Maria..... do I see a romance brewing? With his amnesia, he won't eeven remember that he's already attached. I guess I'll have to read the next chapters to find out eh? Thanks again for this chapter, it was every bit as good as the previous ones, if not better.\:wub\:

A M A Z I N G!!!! WOW... that reading was good, great, amazing!! You girl keep doing a wonderful job with this story, so far, I must admit this has been my favorite chapter, From start to finish WOW! The argument with Sabrina and Edward, the little boy listening to everything !!! Raynor talking about Dracula, Mina and Raynor showing their love finally !!! (have to say, I don't dislike him anymore (LOL) he did indeed have good reasons to be so cold and scared to show his feelings... hopefully after this, he and Mina will be happy..

YAY Mina and Edward seeing each other again was great!! love that scene when Mina walks away and Edward is smiling "love's still in the air" lol

Vic, OMG, I just love him!! and he finally kissed Verity!! Can't believe that really happen... too bad he is running away from her... but i think it's the best he can do at least for now.. maybe when John comes back, he can fight for Verity in a better way.\:D

The story is of course, just brill!!! I sense some twists with Aidan in the future. Poor kid. I don't really like his attitude (lied! I hated his attitude \:P ) but to hear your dad say you were an accident in your face... And the perfect role model Sabrina is being, flirting and throwing herself to Dr Colin (who is HOT btw!!! I downloaded him some time ago and I was wondering why does this guy look familiar? ha\:o ) Such an evil cliffhanger!!!!
