I have always wished that TSR would allow this, too. Also, I was kind of thinking that it would be nice to have clothing, hair, skin, and makeup creators who are members of TSRAA. Then we could upload our Sims using TSRAA content. That would be a blast!

There are so many other sites to find Sims that I never missed that feature on TSR. I'm happy with just having celebrity Sims avaiable. But then, I create the Sims I play myself, so I never download them anyway. Good idea for a poll, Estatica!

I personally LOVE houses with built-in families, but there is a major warning to go with this. I have discovered, both through personal experience & from studying various tech bbs's that if you download sims that have been played & have memories of meeting other sims (other than the ones in their household), this will at some point destroy your lot, and can eventually destroy your neighborhood. As long as the sims are just created and NOT PLAYED but just places within the house, all is safe. If they have been played already & have met anyone else in the neighborhood, there is trouble ahead. This is due to those memories over-burdening the number of character files for the neighborhood by over-generating redundant garbage character files. The exception to this is when a complete neighborhood is created as EAxis does it.

I agree with LaylaSims. A friend of mine had to do a horrible scrub of her entire game to get rid of the phantom characters. However, in theory, if people knew how to clone what they like and put the families in a clean lot, it would be a lot of fun to do.
