On that very cold night in the desert, while Frank was taking the trash out he thought he heard a strange noise.

On that very cold night in the desert, while Frank was taking the trash out he thought he heard a strange noise. "Maybe I'm just overworked..." he whispered to himself. Not realizing he was unemployed for almost three months now. He stood there for a bit, but the strange sound, sort of stumping and shoveling sound had stopped Dog Silly sensed there was something out there too. "Hey kid...don't worry. We are all here to protect you from whatever!" The next morning nothing was different than other mornings. Frank and Veronique slept well. They slept in on this Saturday. Fred, their handyman stopped by to fix the trashcompactor and take some of that delicious cornbread home (which Frank can make pretty well) to his wife. "Did you hear strange noises last night Fred?"
"No, can't say I have...but it's close to March of the Penguin Day...So you might have heard that." Fred said it as if it was the most normal thing in the world... Frank frowned...March of the penguin day??...OK... WHAT in the world..??? Frank and Veronique, new in this area of the world, never saw a marching penguin. Well, there's a first time for everything! A couple of weeks later Veronique was kind of off beat..."My stomach is a little upset. I have this fluttering feeling...Frank...? Are you listening? It's been going on for a couple of days now..." "Guess what...The fluttery feeling? I'M PREGNANT!....And it's starting to show!" Frank is thrilled. This is one busy household! No time for a job! Neh... "Shall we sell one of the kittens Frank?" Smart is shocked...Selling one of her babies???? Willem their neighbour from across the street loves little Sheba and is anxious to take her home to surprise his girl PN with this sweetie. He pays well and Sheba leaves the building...gone to have a wonderful life with Willem and PN. Meanwhile somewhere in Morocco, Princess Nashira is feeling miserable. She misses her precious cat Spitz and can't wait to fly back home. Her parents said they found her a husband, but if there's one thing she won't do is to marry some guy she has never met! At the palace, while her parents are vast asleep, she is planning her escape. "I will NOT marry Sheik Agdamar...Not in thousand and one nights! I'm flying back to Strangetown tomorrow. I will have it no other way!" That same night in Strangetown somewhere close to where the Coopers live, Bart Bender is unable to sleep. "I know what to do! I will send Frank Cooper an email right away and tell him I want to help. hehehe, he is so going to want to get rid of that cat... hehehe..." "Dear Frank, We met the other day in the petstore. How's that pretty cat of yours holding up? She might act strange and aggressive, but that's quite normal. She misses her boss. Have you tried...blabla...blablabla....which sure works...blabla...and works like an aphrodisiac...blabla...

Veronique checks out the new baby room and bathroom. She's due any day now. Mao isn't the little kitten anymore...He grew up just fine. Loves to fly too... And guess what? Smart and Socks made another kitten! Probably to get even with us for selling little Sheba to Willem and PN from across the street. Little Spike is just like his big brother Mao though! "Hon! It started! QUICK! Get the car...or call an ambulance. I cannot have this baby here in the freakin' cold on the freakin'porch!" After they return from the hospital Frank and Veronique are ready to introduce Dominic, their newborn son to their livestock: Silly, Smart, Socks, Spitz, Mao and Spike. NINE members in the household. FRANK YOU JUST HAVE TO GET A JOB! "....I smell baby poo... Is that good?" "Hiya Dominic, meet Silly...she's the sweetest dog in the world and she's going to be your best friend!" "Whahahaha...Who's the queen of da house..who's da queen?...Mowhwhow...I am going crazy Whahahahaha..."
Now that everyone was focussed on the new baby, Spitz was sort of in her element. That Mao was a cute cat as well, too bad he inherited that bunnybutt from his ma... She knew she blew it with Socks. It would take some time for their relationship to heal. Smart was getting naggy towards Socks, it wouldn't surprise her if Socks got enough of it eventually. This was a good time to make her move. She saw a lot of possibilities here. Yes, life was good...(to be continued)
