"Don't forget I have that appointment today." Daphne stops Dexter before he leaves the house for work. She's not been feeling too well for the past few days, and she finally made an appointment for this morning.

"Don't forget I have that appointment today." Daphne stops Dexter before he leaves the house for work. She's not been feeling too well for the past few days, and she finally made an appointment for this morning. "I won't." Dexter smiles. "I just hope you get to feeling better soon."

"I'll probably be home before you get off work." She says with a small sign. Oh how she loves Dexter. His unconditional love and never ending loyalty and support.

"I love you." He says with a happy smile, "...both of you." "...and we love you. You'd better get out there, the taxi is going to leave you." She giggles, feeling those horrible cramps again, she makes a sour face.

"You sure you don't need me to take you?" Dexter asks with much concern.

"I'll be fine." She tells him. "Now, go." He leans forward, kisses her and then heads out the door for work.

*** Dexter hasn't heard from Daphne, so when his taxi pulls up outside the house, he bolts inside to see his wife. ...only, the house is empty. Daphne is not anywhere to be found. Being a worrywort, he hurries over to the phone to call Daphne's doctor to be sure she's not still there. "Dr. Moore?" Dexter asks as a man answers. He'd called the doctor's cellphone. "This is Dexter Andretti." Dexter says softly. "I'm calling about Daphne...?"
"General Andretti, you don't need to worry. Daphne is here in my office, we're going to admit her for a few days. I've some very serious news, and I'd like for you to come down to my clinic and talk with me about it. Could you do that?" The doctor sounds very professional.

"I'm on my way." Dexter hangs up the phone, and hurries out the door in a mad dash for the hospital.
