"Honey, it can't be THAT bad!" Annie calls through the bathroom door at Alfred.

"You're not looking at it..." He groans. After a long pause, Alfred whines, "I don't want to be the mayor anymore."

"Don't be silly!" Annie laughs. "Ever since the day I met you, this is what you've always wanted."

"Don't be silly!" Annie laughs. "Ever since the day I met you, this is what you've always wanted." Bonnie opens her door, walks arounds the table, and continues on her way to the bus.

"What's Dad doing?" She asks noticing her mothers impatient grin and the door is shut.

"Being a wimp." Annie smiles as Bonnie shrugs her shoulder and continues walking.

"Annie!" Alfred shouts. "I'm not a wimp!" Annie can't help but laugh. After an even longer pause than the first one, Alfred finally turns the doorknob. "No laughing." He says sternly in his father-voice. He walks out with a childish grin of high hopes.

"What do you think!?" He asks nervously. "Oh...honey." Annie smiles a nervous smile. Alfred's smile fades.

"Annie...you're trying not to laugh." He looks at her sternly. "No, honey." Annie giggles. "I'd never laugh at you." She starts laughing uncontrollably. "...help me!" He scowls desperately yet quiet enough to not wake the baby. Annie smiles kindly at him, and rises to her feet and follows him back into the bathroom to help him look professional and presentable. After a few minutes, Alfred is finally pleased with his new look. He kisses his wife good-bye, and hurries to the bedroom to get ready for his first day as Mayor.

*** Alfred arrives home late after work, Bonnie is boiling mad and Annie isn't talking. He tries to get Bonnie to talk but she keeps throwing her toys and shoes at him any time he opens the door. He decides it's a lost cause, and goes back to his wife in the kitchen.

"...one of you is going to speak before any of us eat dinner." Alfred says sternly, but softly.

After a long silence, Annie sniffles. "I'm a horrible mother, Alf." She sniffles again.

"Who said that?" Alfred goes to step in, and Annie steps closer to the stove.

"Your daughter." Annie snaps.

"She's your's, too, you know." Alfred sighs.

"Not tonight she's not!" Annie sniffles some more. "There's no way that temper came from my side!"

"...you going to tell me what happened?" Alfred asks quietly.

"She's failing all of her classes." Annie sighs. "...she didn't want my advice."

"I'll go in and talk to her." Alfred sighs as Annie turns to him with a smile. "You will?" She smiles sweetly at him. "She's really mad at me..."

"Well...I tried to go in her room, but she was throwing toys and shoes at the door." He sighs softly, and Annie laughs. "I love you, Mayor Fisher." She smiles and he gently kisses her before heading into the warzone.

*** Alfred finally makes it in the bedroom alive, and Bonnie is sitting on her bed pouting.

"You want to tell me why you wouldn't let me in?!" Alfred asks casually. "You darn near hit me a few times!" He smiles.
 "I thought you were HER." She scowls.

"Who?" Alfred asks.

"You know who!" Boonie snaps rudely. "...Bonnie, you know why I'm here." Alfred puts on his Father-Mode.

"You can leave for all I care." Bonnie growls at him. He stands there in shock. She's acquired quite the mouth and temper and he's sure it didn't come from his genes. "Bonnie!" He snaps. "We're your parents...you better respect us. Until you start paying the bills...your rear is mine and you'll do as I say!" He shouts at her almost in anger.

"She hates me, Dad!" Bonnie screams.

"She doesn't 'hate' you." Alfred tells her. "Yes she does!" Bonnie screams childishly as high pitched as she can.

"No she doesn't, and that's that." Alfred says sternly over her squeaky screams. "I want you to tell me why you're failing your classes." "I hate school." She snaps boldly.

"You need to go...you need to pass...you need an education to make it in this world, Bonnie." Alfred tries his best at Fatherhood. "You didn't finish school...neither did she...and look where you two are." She snaps coldy. "You know what, Bonnie." Alfred growls at her. "If you want to fail...go ahead, be a failure." He stormed out of her room slamming the door behind him. Bonnie fights hard to keep the tears in. The slamming of the door breaks her heart for she knows she just broke his.
