Okay so totally I do not know what to post in my blog, and I really don't know what to freaking do.
So I'm thinking of Introducing myself. So hello peeps this is me, this blog is going to be totally weird since I'm just going to post weird things about sims and shits so yeah.
Things you wanna know about me is that, I like to draw dresses, call me a fashion designer and I love building houses in TheSims 2 modern and victoria. I prefer TheSims 1 and 2 than 3. I think TheSims 2 is perfect, my TheSims 3 sometimes crash though and I do not like it a lot. I have Instagram, Facebook, Wattpad, Twitter and TheSimsResource. I love to dance and rap, but more on dancing. Call me a crazy dancer. I am a Libra, which is balance. I don't think I'm balance at all. LOL. I am also a bitch or a slut but still a virgin, I only like to mess with boys so yeah, I'm a slut but still a virgin. Sometimes my humor gets carried away. I just had the weirdest imagination ever that Nicki Minaj stole my sandwhich and Paris Hilton came stomping in my room and smashed my face on the keyboardsafnjeiofg9435u09r2qeokaqmcs.ve;rmjgiodfh28ry23
I also have stories in Wattpad, please if you like to read them feel free but be warn some of them have mature content so yeah, beware of perverts.

Hi, Everybody! Over the next few weeks I will be revising my lots and adding the letters [SF] to the name of all revised lots. [SF] = Spawner Fix.
I have been building Sims lots for a year, now. However I have never actually played the game (except, of course, when I test my lots). And, until this April (when I got some EP's for my birthday) I only had the base game. So, although I have been an artist for 20 years, to my own embarrassment, when it comes to video games (not just The Sims) I'm still pretty much a rookie. ![]()
Therefore it's probably not surprising that I've only recently learned about spawners. I just discovered, yesterday, that whenever lots with spawners are deleted (in order to build a new lot), it is possible for them to leave behind spawners on the land, which will, then, become a part of the new lot.
If you're like me, you might ask: What are spawners? Well, good question. Spawners are the source of butterflies, fish and various other living things (and natural resources like gems, too) on Sims land. These spawners multiply every time the lot is picked up and rotated, and new spawners are added every time a new lot is tested or used in that space and then deleted.
Months ago a downloader told me that she had downloaded a lot, from me, that played very slowly, for her, and she thought it might be caused by the butterflies. I was baffled by the problem because I couldn't re-create it when I tested it, and I couldn't find an explanation for it when I googled it.
I'll admit I had thought those pretty little insects were somehow generated because of (or attracted to) the plants in the gardens, and since I never had any problems when I tested it, I assumed the problem had to be caused by butterfly varieties from an EP that I didn't own. Is there an emoticon for the embarrassment that I now feel over my ignorance?
![]()
Spawners. Duh. That seems so obvious...now that I know what spawners are.
Yesterday, after I found out about spawners and read some threads on the topic, I learned that some people have a problem with them slowing down their game-play, while others do not (which is probably why I didn't have this problem any of the times I tested the lot). So, if you don't have a problem with spawner game-lag then there is nothing you need to do. But if you do, keep reading.
Fortunately for those who DO have this problem, I now know the cause and how to fix it. Starting today I will be removing spawners from my lots and posting revised copies for download. Once they are revised I will add the letters [SF] to the lot title so that you know which ones have been fixed.
The lot info for these revised lots will now read: "REVISED: Spawners removed. Originally built with base game. Now revised and tested with World Adventures, Pets and Supernatural EP's."
If you would prefer not to re-download the lot, the links I have included offer instructions for removing spawners. However, I have discovered that it takes so many clicks per spawner (before they finally disappear) that I lose count. Apparently they are stacked on top of each other, which is one of the main reasons why I'm am going to be offering the revised downloads for everyone.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR [SF] LOT REVISIONS:
!!! VERY IMPORTANT !!! Please keep in mind: when you delete a lot in order to place an [SF] lot in its space, if that lot had spawners on it, there could still be spawners left behind on the land. It is because lots can often leave behind spawners that I ended up with spawners on mine. So be sure to check after you delete the old lot and before you place the new one.
It is especially important to check the land if you delete one of my old lots, which we know had spawners on them. Unfortunately it will probably require numerous clicks on each spawner in order to remove them from the land. If they don't go away, just keep clicking—sometimes there are several dozen stacked on top of each other. I apologize, in advance, for this
Click here for instructions for deleting these. Also remember that spawners can only be deleted in build/buy mode. For more details read this thread.

I had never written much about myself in the "about me" section of my profile because I was pretty sure my life wasn't very interesting. However, since then I have realized how much I enjoy reading about the other people on here. No matter what the details are, getting a picture of other people's lives and who they are has made my TSR experience so much cooler!
So, although I still think my life is pretty boring, maybe there are people out there who like boring people such as me and think boring is...err...interesting? (Ok, ok I'll stop making jokes and get on with it).
About Me:
I live in Minnesota, and like many other Americans I, myself, am a bit of a melting pot of immigrants. I am the granddaughter of a Ukrainian immigrant and the great-granddaughter of Finnish immigrants on my mother's side.
On my father's side I am the great-granddaughter of Swedish immigrants as well as the descendant of a man who immigrated to the colonies before the American Revolution in 1775. Not a grandfather or great grandfather, obviously, but my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great...well, you get the picture.
Apart from the English ancestry from my paternal grandfather, my parents' generation was the first within their families to speak English as their first language. Unfortunately, because of this, I never learned Ukrainian, Finnish, or Swedish even though my grandparents all spoke these languages first.
Nevertheless, like many Minnesotans I do have a bit of an accent. The movie Fargo made us famous for accenting our o's and pronouncing our t's as d's and so on. I'm from Minn-uh-SO-duh. Many Minnesotans claim we do not have an accent, but it depends upon what part of Minnesota we are from. Just listen to our former governor, Jesse Ventura, and you'll know what I mean.
Thanks to my Scandinavian background I am quite tall for a woman. I'm 5'10" (177.5). I grew up in the Twin Cities where there are fewer tall people, like me, and therefore (I'm embarrassed to admit) I was a lot taller than most of the boys in my high school and didn't start dating until a few weeks before my Senior Prom.
My own best friend was nearly a foot shorter than me, so I managed to feel huge and awkward until I was in my 20's. That's when I finally learned to accept it, enjoy it and work it. I started to enjoy fashion, shopped-until-I-dropped, wore high heels (stopped slouching to look shorter) and basically strutted around pretending I was like a fashion model or something—haha! It didn't improve my dating stats much—but at least I was having fun!
You might have noticed from my profile that I call myself an artist/musician. It's not my career however. I am more of a lifelong student-of-the-arts. I have been painting, drawing and singing since I was old enough to speak and to hold a paintbrush or crayon. I have been playing the piano since I was 7. I love all things artistic and never stop working to improve. I want to be able to create things that matter to people and make them feel happy.
I never did go to college to become a professional artist or musician, though. And this is the part I usually hate talking about (yet it's a major part of who I am). I've had several medical problems since I was an infant and after working in an office only a few short years, as an adult, I became too sick to leave the house.
11 years later, after several surgeries, going gluten-free, taking supplements and getting allergy shots (as well as some Alt Med that has been helpful) I'm starting to look forward to having a normal life again because my health is slowly-but-surely improving. I still have not been well enough to hold a job and was recently diagnosed with a disability (brain damage / memory impairment), but since it is probably the variety that is not permanent, I trust it will improve, over time, as my health continues to improve.
For now, I garden, spend my time with my 3 adorable cats (who I am allergic to but
to pieces anyway), write, study music and art (with the hope that I will be able become a professional artist when I am well) and of course I also build Sims 3 lots!
Some additional interests of mine that maybe some of you share with me include fashion, landscaping, architecture, sociology, anthropology, psychology and communications-based fields such as PR (I am a HUGE fan of Kelly Cutrone the owner of fashion PR company People's Revolution).
Aside from having always wanted to be either a professional painter or musician, I have always had an interest in becoming a fashion designer. So we'll see how it turns out. I may already be 35, but I've been looking into college programs such as the Fine Arts program at UCLA because it's never too late to make something of my life! Right?

So, this is my first blog post. Let's see into what this will turn - this blogpost and this account. So let me introduce you to my plans, my creations etc. :)
My plans, the sense of it all and what I'm going to do:
- I want to make lots of clothes. I mean, many many many clothes. ;)
- But I don't want to make only some clothes, clothes you can find everywhere. I don't want to create normal clothes - a bow here and some glitter there. I'm not a big fan of that. My clothes will be straight-lined, simple and beautiful.
- I want to make this account a famous one. I know, it's the dream of everyone on TSR, but I don't want to do that to be only famous - I think this is ridiculous - I want to reach this aim for showing to everyone: look! You don't need stupid sayings, you don't have to put black-white girls on a t-shirt, make their lips pink and - boom! - you've got a cool shirt. Isn't that mind- and meaningless? I want to make everyone believe that clothes aren't just pieces of textiles on which you could make designs showing that you give a shit on the sense of the sayings and slogans, of the motives and pictures which are printed on them. I think that clothes have to fit, look amazing and make you feeling good. For this, in my opinion, clothes have to be simple. Simple, without lots of lettering. Simple, without lots of pictures. So simple, that you only need one look to understand what they want to show.
- I will make product lines, radical-against-many-bows-lines, anti-teddy-bears-on-night-suit-lines, things like that. But I won't make real anti-lines, I'll just give them funny names and make some good-looking clothes (at least, I'm hoping they'll look good). ;)
- I will do my very best to create high-quality clothes. But since I'm a beginner, it will take a lot of time to make such clothes. And I've no idea how long that will be, but I hope only some weeks.

I have recently changed my username from casmn to Victorian Carly.
"casmn" is the username I created years ago when I was just a downloader. However, a year ago I decided to start creating lots. Since then it has been brought to my attention that my username was difficult to remember, and it was not easy to find my page again on TSR. So, in response, I have recently changed my username to something that will better represent the theme of my lots. Hopefully it will be much easier to find and remember now.
In case you had ever wondered what the heck a casmn is, it is not really a name, but it's also not an object, concept or creature. It's not anything, really. No wonder it wasn't memorable. "casmn" is actually the 3 initials that represent my full name, CAS, plus MN for Minnesota (the state I live in).
In real life my name is Caroline, but I go by the nickname, Carly, online. Also, for anyone who did not know what gender a casmn is, and couldn't tell what it was from my avatar, this might clear up some confusion. Haha—sorry about that!![]()

I've been creating all my work using the mouse. It's very hard but as you can see, it can be done. ;-) Still healing from the car wreck, but trying to work on some items that I've had that needs completion. Have a couple of those left. But think its time for an upgrade on my system and maybe a tablet. So once Im able I'll be out shopping for those items. Think it will make a big difference in creating the textures as it will be easier to draw and much better quilty that way. Not to mention that my dinosour's (computer)graphic card his having the hardest time pushing the game and other programs graphics. So with fingers crossed, I'm hoping to get them within the next two weeks. Thank you to all those who sent well wishes! hugs!!

It's been ages since I went on here. Can't believe people still create stuff for the sims 2. It makes me happy since I just bought two expension packs cheap. Makes me wonder if I should create some more walls and floors. I actualy think I still have some unshared stuff.

Hello: For years I have been downloading lots of wonderful free custom content from TSR to use in my game. Now that my neighborhoods are fully developed, it's time to returning my favors to TSR by contributing my creations here for other people to use in their games. I hope that the sims 2 will never go out of fashion and that people will continue to play sims 2, because there are still a lot of things to be created for the sims 2 game. Playing the game is very fun, but creating can be as fun. It is the custom content that makes the game perfect.

Strange event just occurred. I had finished composing a Blog post on my recent pattern activities and why I've been using the TSR Workshop . . and when I tried to save the content, I had a full screen change with one of those - type in the words to prove you are human - sort of things and words to the effect that something in my post had triggered a safety response on the website and I would have to make sure my computer/mobile was clean before I could return
HUH? My computer is probably as 'clean' as it's ever going to get. I don't use bad language, I don't abuse anyone or copy/paste stuff from anywhere. Everything I wrote was done on the fly and wasn't contentious in the least - so I wonder why this happened.
What it did do was kill my post and since it was quite a long one and I don't have the time right now to revisit the subject . . . I'll just have to wonder what some other computer, somewhere, thought I"d done.
See ya again when I get the chance.
Marg
. . . well, that's sooner than expected. The same thing occurred with this post - so I did the word :challenge: and asked for admission . . and here I am again. The plot thickens.

Hallo everybody,
Believe me, I know. My story isn't finished. But I have good excuses. This past school year has been so crazy! I just finished my hardest courses, and then right after finals, I flew off to Germany. I'll be living here for 3 months. In spite of having to learn a new language and still doing research, I have more time on my hands than before (like I said, crazy school year!) My other excuse is that my game runs really, really slow on my laptop, and so I didn't want to bother with it for awhile. After freeing some space on my hard drive, though, I think I can start writing on Mastermind again! I can't promise that it will end soon or that my writing will be consistent, but I do promise that I will do the best I can with the time I have! Thanks everyone who's visited my page to read my stories and leave such lovely comments. It really is great to have a creative outlet and even better to be appreciated for it! I can't wait to read everyone else's stuff, too. Auf Wiedersehen!

If it wasnt for you i wouldnt be able to create my beloved Sims, so from the bottom of my heart i thank you all

Since a few days I can't make any other custom content ... because i've a new computer ! It is beautiful with its white design. I'm using Origin to download and install again all my Sims 3 games ... and it's not quick. Today is my birthday. I don't plan to do anything. Sad, isn't it ? But i'm fine. I think I will work again on custom content this afternoon.

Hi there,
I know I promised to create more this year, but unfortunately it's just impossible for me at the moment. I don't even have time to check my fb page, so I'll probably just delete it.
I have final exams this forthcoming month, so I will have even less time then.
But I promise I'll be back with new stuff in July!
(hope i won't be retired by then lol)

I was like "WHY?!" when I saw all the new stuff that apparently was downloaded to Create A Sim for The Sims™ 3 on my computer. Dresses, tops, bottoms, shoes and diverse accessories were to find, but this new stuff was just downloaded (?) for young adults. It has never happened before, eventhough my TS3 is acting really weird at times. I guess it just wasgood bad luck, because the new stuff wasn't that ugly either. I really love the new hairstyles, actually.
But

Making this island (and the countertop) proved challenging. I have a level of quality I like to stand by and these were no easy task. Lots of fiddly bits. I chose not to make the island free standing as I was inspired by a piece from Ung999 and the way it functioned in using east and west partitions. I feel it compliments the counter top perfectly and hope you all agree.

I am not even sure anyone visits my site anymore, but just in case... it has been a CRAZY year! We are getting to the end of rebuilding our home. It has taken SO long because we have done all the work and designing ourselves. It is becoming a thing of beauty. I have not given up on creating, but I have not had time to do much with my game. I have a couple of lots that I plan to submit when I get Adobe installed on my new computer...FINALLY a new computer (that was also a drawback to creating)! Money was tight and my computer was getting old and insanely slow for running the Sims 3. This one should be good even when the Sims 4 gets released next year. My husband is building it for me himself (he is good at that techy stuff). Oh yea, I also got married this year, we have been together for years, but we finally tied the knot and made it official. If it is possible to upload personal photos on here, I will try to get some posted of our home. I am sorry life has forced me to become self-absorbed the past few years. I miss everyone, but I was getting overwhelmed trying to keep up with comments and creating things. While in reality I was also designing, contracting, budgeting, painting, staining, puttying, etc. on my actual home (not to mention raising 3 teenage boys). Turns out that is MUCH easier to do in Sims Build/Buy mode lol. Hope all is well with everyone. Happy Simming and hope to see you soon.

So i have now puplished 5 Sims and more is coming. Every time im done with the actual build of the Sim, i find myself asking: more or less CC? So my question is when you download a Sim do you prefer that i find Custom clothes, accessories and shoes or do you prefer vanilla content and dress the Sim yourself?
Thanks in advance and have a lovely weekend :D

I've been wanting to submit a lot ever since joining TSR, but for various reasons (spoiler alert: perfectionism with a not-great attention span) I often find myself with almost-finished projects rather than anything I am willing to actually share.
Simming for me is a way to de-stress after a busy day, a way to indulge my creative side, a channel for all the interior ideas I see during my (many) daydreaming decor website browsing sessions... even a comfort. Of course, I don't have to explain the feeling of making, building, buying, CAS-ing... you all know just what I mean. :D
Recently, I had a lightbulb moment. What if I focused my efforts on a partly furnished lot instead? A lot that had everything in place, but was ready to be customised by anyone who wanted to use it?
And so, that is how it came to be that right this very moment, there is a lot uploading in my filestorage. I made it over the weekend, and I had to do 3 rounds of testing before I got just the right screenshots to use for images.
The first test Sim I used at random was an insane witch I made ages back, who went straight to the spa room and proceeded to have a mud bath... fully clothed. Needless to say, those screenshots didn't make the cut - aside from her dirty laundry all over the floor, the insane vibe was so not what I was going for. ;)
The next test, I used a (possibly average) couple, and as the guy was flirty, they stayed in the foyer while he delivered cheesy lines all on his own. I messed up those images though, by only reading the screenshot requirements AFTER resizing. Oops!
The third and final test however, was just right. I used the same couple, they stayed out of the way (you can just about see them over-sleeping one morning in the floor plan pics) and the result was just what I wanted.
If all goes to plan, 56 Lookout Peak should be up soonish. Hopefully, at least someone will like it. ;)

P.S. I really also have to thank the artists here at TSR. You are all awesome, but wanted to give special thanks to SIMcredible, Pralinesims, Flovv, Jomsims, Shinokcr and Devirose for inspiring me with their beautiful things.

If you don't have all the EP listed for my houses you can still download them. The game will automatically replace the missing objects by base game objects and even keep their colors whenever possible.

I have been bugged by the lack of hair information; or description. Such as the hair polycount, how inconsiderate of the hair creators to not even post it. This is crucial as us that download hair have a right to know. You don't want to be downloading such great looking hair but when running the game it will lag or even slow down the game pretty bad. I have tried to ask the so callled Newsea to at least put in the description how much polycount there is, and no response, even in Skysims(if memory serves it was in there too.) But no response; it seems to me that they just want downloads and get promoted. I will not be downloading hairs anymore from here; and I havent ever since I noticed that there's no description of how much polycount there is. There's tons of other creators out there that will describe if hairs are either high, medium and low poly. People it's not worth messing up or even slowing down your comp/laptop. You should keep yourselves informed in things like this.
