Description
Part of a new mesh set, Fireplace uses the Maxis chimney, set includes 1 new mesh and recolours.
** Please read the Installation Instructions carefully to avoid disapointment **
This download requires other creations and/or files in order to work properly, you can download them below.
Installation Instructions:
TO INSTALL YOUR Fireplace ...
(1) Place the Fireplace and Recolours in your 'Downloads' folder as usual.
(2) Find where you originally installed The Sims 2 game (not the expansion packs) and look for the folder TSDataResCatalogScripts. It is usually in THIS location:
(3) Open the file 'fireplaces.txt' and find an empty space at the bottom of the page. Make sure you don't have a fireplace with the same number (fireplace 1000) if you do have then change the number to make it unique.
(4) Copy and paste the following block of text below into a space at the bottom of the file.
IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED NUMENORS SCRIPTORIUM DO THE FOLLOWING:
Copy the above script to Notepad and save the text file with this name:
1000_AS-StoneBuilt_Fireplace2Tiles
Install the package files as normal and then double click on the
"Scriptorium_Fireplaces"shortcut in your downloads, place the text file in the folder that opens.
That's all!
And removing a custom fireplace etc. is extremely easy, too: delete the .package from the Downloads, and delete the related text files from the Scriptorium folder, and you're done!

Thankyou so much. I have recently re created my own home for a decorating project. This is exactly the fireplace I am looking for. Hubby said I can finally see what you want and has promised to re decorate. Just need to win the lottery now lol
You know, this has to be my favorite fireplace at the moment. It looks equally good in modern and anything-but-modern houses, depending on the finish used. I'm currently making my first ever recolour of it - I may have to buckle down, bite the bullet, and do a whole set.
