This squid uses the same mesh as my previous squid, but comes with all new bitmaps based on actual living squid. Thanks to Helen-Louise (Baratron on TSR) for providing me with the photos these new skins are based on; I had no idea real squid had such iridescent beauty! This "cat" is an alien rabbit-cat named Ryo-Ohki from the anime Tenchi Muyo. English speaking fans of the show call it a "cabbit". Unlike the cabbit in the show, this pet will not eat carrots... just carrot-eating bunnies! The zip also contains a skin of Rho-Ohki's mate Ken-Ohki, created by Wardah Ahmar (L41N on the TSR forums).

These three cats are from the popular Sailor Moon anime cartoon. Their names are Luna, Artemis, and Diana, although you can call them whatever you want after you adopt them. You will need the extra pet downloads available from Maxis at [link] to use these skins.

These little goats look very similar to my sheep; I used my sheep head mesh as a base for them. You get two different colors of goats; combine them with my sheep and make a herd! These miniatures are bred from wild mountain goats; they love to climb things! (They're cats. ^_^;)

Scuzzy, the Reboot Cat

This is Scuzzy, the cat-thing from the CGI "cartoon" Reboot. As an experiment, I made Scuzzy just a head like the squid, but assigned that head to SPINE1 in the cmx for the better animations. As you can see from the jpg insert, the result is an empty thumbnail where the face should be.

This pet was created with the same technique used for my snail dog. You get 5 different beetles: a ladybug, a harlequin beetle, and 3 scarabs. This pet goes well with a family of fairies or sprites, or perhaps an ancient Egyptian themed household. *** Please do not e-mail me with more pet requests; I have a few more projects to finish, but I'm otherwise done with pet skinning -- I've lost interest. ***

I made this dragonfly wing mesh just for cats; unlike my previous fairy cats, the wings won't "hover", so it's an improved type. The skin I used is based on the gold and silver bengal cat skins I made for Sim Pets at [link], which is a great place to look for normal cat and dog skins.

BastDawn Cloud of Butterflies

This pet is a cloud of twelve butterflies, in different sizes and colors. (The largest purple one is the "head".) Butterflies are assigned to different joints, so they move in slightly different ways while staying together as a group. It will seem smaller than cats and dogs in the game, and is technically a "cat". This pet would go well with a faerie or pixie themed family.

Pet body meshes cannot be modified at this time -- but I recently discovered that the body CAN be discarded! This pet is only an oversized (for a pet) head. I attempted to make it in two parts, with the lower tentacles attached as a prop, but I couldn't get them to line up properly. As a result, all movement will be stiff; the entire pet moves as one solid piece. The pet still does everything a dog does: sniffs, chases its "tail", gets ...

At the time of this writing (Jan 2003), it is not yet possible to edit the body meshes of Sim pets. This snail "dog" has a head half the normal size hidden inside a much larger version attached at the SPINE1 point on the "skeleton". There is no "body" at all; what you see as the body is actually a large prop. The head inside is usually completely hidden, but if you look very close you can see it bleed through a little when the pet chases ...
