BastDawn Cloud of Butterflies
Click here to view a larger image

This pet is a cloud of twelve butterflies, in different sizes and colors. (The largest purple one is the "head".) Butterflies are assigned to different joints, so they move in slightly different ways while staying together as a group. It will seem smaller than cats and dogs in the game, and is technically a "cat". This pet would go well with a faerie or pixie themed family.

BastDawn Squid Dog

Pet body meshes cannot be modified at this time -- but I recently discovered that the body CAN be discarded! This pet is only an oversized (for a pet) head. I attempted to make it in two parts, with the lower tentacles attached as a prop, but I couldn't get them to line up properly. As a result, all movement will be stiff; the entire pet moves as one solid piece. The pet still does everything a dog does: sniffs, chases its "tail", gets ...

BastDawn Snail Dog

At the time of this writing (Jan 2003), it is not yet possible to edit the body meshes of Sim pets. This snail "dog" has a head half the normal size hidden inside a much larger version attached at the SPINE1 point on the "skeleton". There is no "body" at all; what you see as the body is actually a large prop. The head inside is usually completely hidden, but if you look very close you can see it bleed through a little when the pet chases ...

I made Ninetails with a modified tail mesh originally created by Charles Caffrey for anthropomorphic fox sims. Ninetails looks very cute in the game... and yes, it really has nine tails! Note that the "tails" are a prop, not a real tail, so they won't move like pet tails in the game.

BastDawn School of Fish

This pet is a school of six fish, in different sizes and colors. (The largest one is the "head".) Each fish is assigned to a different joint, so they all move in slightly different ways while staying together as a group. It will seem smaller than cats and dogs in the game, and is technically a "cat". This pet would go well with an aquatic themed family.

This cat skin uses a Kelahn wing mesh; the wing pattern is a design I made just for this project. (I made the horn meshes myself.) You can find more of Kehaln's work at www.kelahn.com. Hell Cats are perfect for anyone who thinks cats are minions of the devil, or anyone who is nauseated by cutesy little angel cats. I made these to go with my Good Kitties (angel cats); it's funny to put them in the same household and watch them play and ...

BastDawn Alley Cat

Poor old cat... you can tell he's been in a few fights! This pet was made as a request. The tail is a prop, so it will not flex or move like a pet tail in the game. Thanks to L41N for extracting the Maxis Manx mesh for me!

BastDawn Pikachu Cat

Pikachu meows and uses a scratching post? Okay, he doesn't act like a real pokemon, but he's still cute! His tail is a prop, so don't expect it to flex and bend like a normal tail in the game -- it's stiff.

BastDawn Bunny Dog

Bunnies have been often requested pets, so I made one with a morphed cat head and a dog body with a puffy cottontail. Of course, it's really a dog that just looks like a bunny, so it will still bark and growl -- but it's cute anyhow!

This cat skin uses a Kelahn wing mesh; the wing pattern is a feather design I drew last year, edited to fit. (I made the halo mesh myself.) You can find more of Kehaln's work at www.kelahn.com. Good Kitties are perfect for anyone who thinks kitties are little angels. You get all three cats shown.

These dog skins use a Kelahn wing mesh; the wing pattern is based on a color edited photo of a real butterfly. You get both the raccoon and the arctic fox; they use the same mesh. They're a fun addition to a fairy-themed family.

Black Fairy Cat

This cat skin uses a Kelahn wing mesh; the wing pattern is based on a color edited photo of a real butterfly. The wings sometimes look odd; when the kitty is hissing or washing, the wings float slightly above the body. In spite of that, the skin normally looks quite good in the game. It's a fun addition to a fairy or gothic themed family.
