Hello! This is the 3rd part of "Forbidden Love". I'm sorry it took me forever to update. If you like, you can read the previous part(s) before reading this, because I know it's been months. Hope you like it! Richard didn't sleep well that night. He'd stayed up late, lying in his bed, trying to figure out the reason of Sarah's behaviour. Finally he'd just decided to talk to the girl. "Good morning! Where's Sarah today?" Richard asked Wendy, Sarah's mother. "Hi, Richard!" the woman smiled, "Sarah is at home. She wasn't feeling that well in the morning." "Oh...I hope she's ok. Would you mind if I went over to see her?" he asked."I need to talk to her." "Go, of course. But if you two decide to go out, bring her back BEFORE midnight," Wendy told him, laughing. "I will...sorry about yesterday," Richard said, ashamed that Sarah had gone home so late the night before. And alone... "I will go to see her right after the breakfast," Richard promised, "Have a nice day!" Richard's father and grandmother were already waiting for him at the dining table. "Bye, Richard!" Wendy smiled. "What a nice young man that Richard is! Always so polite...always smiling..." Wendy thought, then sighed and continued her work. After the breakfast, something had changed about Richard. He wasn't smiling, he didn't look happy anymore. Knowing that he'd see Sarah soon would have made him happy any other time, but not now. Not after what his grandmother had told him during the meal. "I don't know how to tell her..." Richard thought as he was getting closer to Sarah's house. "How am I gonna tell her that I'm- " He stopped the thought before it got to the part he hated. "Well, I need to apologize at first anyway. Although...I don't really regret kissing her." Richard got closer to the door and then knocked. "Sarah? Sarah, it's me, Richard!" Sarah was surprised to see him. She wasn't ready to talk to him yet, not happy that she'd ran away like that last night. And angry that Richard had tried to kiss her. Sarah walked unwillingly towards the door. "Hi, Richard," she said, trying to sound as happy as she could. Richard was still her best friend and there was no way she was going to let one stupid kiss ruin their friendship. "Hi, Sarah! How are you? Your mom told me..." "I'm fine, Richard. I was trying to avoid you to be honest," she admitted and looked down, blushing. "Oh. Well, it's ok. I understand. But I think we really need to talk. Let's go...somewhere." Sarah wasn't sure what to think of it. "Please, Sarah? You're my best friend. We should be able to talk about everything." Richard said and quietly and looked into her eyes. "Ok, let's go!" Sarah finally gave up and locked the door. The girl was silent all the way to the little local café. She did like Richard, but he seemed to like her...more. Richard didn't mind the silence, it was one of the things he loved about their relationship - silence was comfortable, too. They sat down at one of the tables. Luckily, the place wasn't crowded. "Good," Richard thought. "Better to talk that way." "Look, Sarah. I'm sure you don't want to talk about erm... last night, but, hey, you don't have to avoid me because of that! Or are you afraid of me now?" "I'm not afraid of you, Richard. It's just that..." "Yeah, I know. The situation is a bit awkward," Richard said. "A bit," Sarah repeated his words sarcastically. "Richard, you had no right to kiss me." Sarah whispered the last part. "I thought I had," Richard laughed. "And I'm not gonna say I'm sorry I did it, because I'm not-" "Rich," the girl interrupter, but Richard didn't let her finish. "BUT," Richard said, "I promise I won't try it again before..." "Before what? Richard, I don't want you to hope that I'll-"
"No, no, I'm totally hopeless!" Richard laughed at his own joke. Sarah didn't find it funny. "I don't want to lose you, Sarah. Friends?" the boy stood up to give Sarah a hug. "Friends," Sarah agreed and smiled. It was so easy to forgive Richard. The kids didn't even notice how fast it got dark. It was time to go home. Richard walked Sarah to the door. "Thank you. For today, I mean. I'm so glad that everything's ok between us again," Sarah smiled. "Me too. Erm. Actually...there's one more thing I wanted to tell you..." "What is it? We can talk about everything, remember?" Sarah reminded him. "Well...yes...I think." Richard sighed. "Sarah, I'm moving away..." "WHAT?" How come? When???" "Next week," Richard was finally able to say. "I'm so sorry, Sarah, I hope you will understand...I have to..." "NO!" Sarah shouted and ran inside, locking the door after her. Richard could hear her sobbing behind the locked door. "Perfect! That went well..." Richard whispered, confused. He didn't know what to do when his best friend kept running away like that, refusing to talk to him. "Sarah?" he knocked on the door. "Sarah, I'm so sorry. My grandmother-" "Go away, Richard! I don't even want to know! Just go away!" Sarah cried. The boy didn't want to leave Sarah alone like that, but knowing the girl he knew she'd never talk to him again that day. "I'm so sorry, Sarah...It's not like I want to move away..." "That can't be happening...can't be happening...wake up, Sarah, wake up, please!" Sarah repeated. "Mom, please come home..."
