Hello!
This is my new story "Forbidden Love". I hope I didn't steal the title of someone's story, although with a title like this it's very possible that I still did. Some songs inspired me to write this story, they will be included soon. I'm sorry for the mistakes and please let me know what you think! :) Hope you will like it.

"It's great that my mom works here, don't you think, Richard? We can play together every day!" "Yes, Sarah...That's great! So what are we going to do next?" "You promised to show me your secret room, remember? Please, pleaseee, I want to see it!" "Ahh yes! I will show you...But I'll go and drink something at first, ok? I'm so thirsty!"
"Ok" Sarah said, excited to see the hidden place soon. "Wait here, Sarah, I'll be right back!" Richard said and left the room.
 Sarah was looking around in the room while waiting for Richard...
"Everything looks really beautiful here..." she said out loud. "I wish it was my home." Meanwhile Richard's grandmother, Eugenia, walked in. "You little brat, what are you doing in my house?" she got angry, finding Sarah looking at her expensive vases. "I'm really sorry, Mrs. Kenrick, I was just waiting for Richard..." Sarah tried to explain. "Waiting for Richard???" Eugenia got furious "A girl like you shouldn't have anything to do with my grandson!" "I'm really sorry, Mrs. Kenrick, I'm really, really sorry..." Sarah said quietly.
"Enough! Where is your mother?" Eugenia asked, raising her voice.
"She's outside..." "Sneaking around in my house like that! Just wait until I talk to your mother!" Eugenia said, walking away, "Come!" she shouted.
The girl followed her, confused and terrified. She didn't understand what she had done wrong. Eugenia was mumbling something about Sarah stealing her vases while they were walking down the stairs. "I'm sorry, Mrs. Kenrick. I wasn't planning to take anything. I was just waiting for Richard..." Sarah tried to explain, getting more and more confused about the whole situation. "Grandmother! I asked her to come inside!" Richard came running from the kitchen. He knew from the look of his grandmother's face that she didn't like having Sarah in her house.
"Go to your room, Richard" Eugenia commanded and took Sarah outside. "This child! Nothing good will come from her"
Eugenia felt how her head started to ache. All she ever wanted in her life was to be happy. But her life hadn't turned out the way she had planned. Her money and her grandson was all she had left.
"Now where is this useless gardener? Wendy!?!" Eugenia shouted, looking around in front of the house and heading to the back yard after that. She found Sarah's mother watering the flowers.
"Wendy, how many times have I told you not to bring your daugher here!" "She's nothing but trouble! I found her sneaking around in my house!" Eugenia complained with an angry tone in her voice. "I'm really sorry, Mrs. Kenrick, but it's summer and I have nowhere to leave her" Wendy apologized. "I'm sure Sarah has a good explanation..." she continued. "I do not care about her explanations! I don't want to see her in my house again! Ever! Is that clair?" Eugenia yelled.
"Mrs. Kenrick, please. She's just a little girl..."
 Sarah couldn't watch Mrs. Kenrick shouting at her mother, she covered her eyes with her little hands and ran away from there, crying. "Poor mommy..." Sarah said through the tears. She stayed there hiding from Mrs. Kenrick until it got dark outside. "Oh, Sarah. You will get me fired like that one day...You know how much I need this job..." Wendy told her daughter after finishing the work. "I'm sorry, mommy, I didn't mean to do anything bad..." Tears filled Sarah's eyes again. She knew that Mrs. Kenrick was a mean woman, but she felt so guilty that Eugenia had yelled at her mother because of her. "Let's just go home" Sarah's mother said as they left the Kenrick mansion. Sarah's home was very small, but she still loved it. She had spent all her life in this litte house. It was the best her mother could afford being a gardener and a single mom. Sarah's father had left them some months after Sarah was born. "Go wash your hands, Sarah, I'll cook us something for dinner" Wendy said, opening the fridge. "Mac and cheese again..." she whispered. "Richard might be rich and have a big house, but it's much better to live here" Sarah thought while washing her hands. "My mommy atleast loves me..." she said, dryed her hands and went back to the kitchen. "Mommy?"
"Yes, Sarah?"
"Why does Mrs. Kenrick hate me so much?" "She doesn't hate you, sweetheart...Life hasn't been kind to Mrs. Kenrick, she's just very sad because of that" Wendy explained. "But that's not my fault, is it?" Sarah asked. "Of course not, Sarah. How could it be your fault? You're seven years old..." Wendy forgot herself thinking about her little daughter and that old Mrs. Kenrick, and burned the dinner.
"Oh no! Not again!"
"It's ok mommy, I like sandwiches too..." Sarah tried to comfort her mother. "What a horrible day it has been..." Wendy whispered, disappointed in everything and everyone except Sarah. Her little daughter gave the meaning to her life. Sarah sat quietly, eating the sandwich her mother had made. This evening was not different from all the other evenings she remembered. It had always been just Sarah and her mother, the same house, the same kitchen, and even the sandwich tasted the same as usually. "Ready for bed, Sarah?" Wendy asked after the dinner, opening the bed that had been 'on the wall' during the day to give Sarah more space to play.
"I don't feel tired yet, mommy..." "Sweetheart, please...It has been a long day for both of us. Good night, Sarah"
"Good night, mommy...Will you come too?"
"I will soon, just go to bed and close your eyes." Sarah changed her clothes and went to bed as her mother had asked...
"I hope Mrs. Kenrick won't be at home tomorrow" she said. Knowing that she would see Richard again in the morning made her feel happy. "My little girl...You're so sweet and innocent. I wish I could protect you from that cruel world..." Wendy was thinking, looking at her sleeping child. There was only one bed in the household. Soon they were both asleep, dreaming of a place where life was better and people were nicer to them. When Wendy went to work the next day, she took Sarah with her again. She really didn't have anywhere to leave her. Hiring a nanny was something Wendy couldn't afford. Sarah knew she wasn't allowed to go inside the house anymore, so she tried to stay close to her mother in order not to do anything forbidden again. Hunting bugs kept her entertained. For a while. Soon Richard came.
"I'm really sorry about yesterday, Sarah. You know my grandmother..." he apologized. "I know, Richard. That wasn't your fault, so don't worry...I'm just not allowed to enter the house anymore" Sarah told him. "But grandmother isn't at home today..." Richard said and a foxy smile appeared to his face. "Do you still want to see my secret room?" "I don't know...Mrs. Kenrick could get back any moment" Sarah doubted, although she was dying to see the room Richard had talked about so many times. "Let's better play outside today..." she finally said. "Good morning, Richard" a man said, coming outside to check on her son before going to work. Richard's father Lionel was a business-man and his job took most of his time. He felt guilty for not spending enough time with his son, but he thought Richard's grandmother knew more about bringing up children anyway, so he let his mother-in-law do all the hard work. Richard's mother Henrietta had passed away when Richard was a toddler. That was the only thing Sarah knew about her, no one ever wanted to talk about Henrietta Kenrick. Sometimes Richard stopped at her mother's grave and just stood there, looking very sad. Luckily for him, Sarah was always there to comfort him.
"You're my best friend, Sarah!" he used to say. Soon Sarah forgot her fear and spent hours playing in the house again with Richard. When Mrs. Kenrick wasn't at home, the kids went to jump on her bed. For revenge. When Mrs. Kenrick was at home, Richard took Sarah to his secret place where no one could find them. Richard's room had once belonged to his mother - Henrietta probably needed a place to hide, too. And now it was Richard's. Sarah loved the room - it was safe there... It was the only place where no one could take her away from Richard.
