Hello!
It's me again, Florence Moore. Last time I was about to tell you how I met James, the man who is my husband now.
"Get out of my bed!" I said angrily to the boy sitting on MY park bench. "Excuse me?" he asked, not understanding what I was talking about. "I said, get out of my bed!" I repeated my words. "Oh, sorry, I didn't know you're emm...sleeping here," the boy said. "Ok, sit there if you want, I don't care. I can sleep here as well!" I said and sat down on the other bench.
"I really am sorry, " he said, "My name is James"
"Good-bye, James" I said, hoping he'd go away. But he didn't.
Instead of leaving he asked me if I'd like to go over to his place.
As I had nothing to lose, I decided to go.
He was living in a small flat with his father.
"My flat is on the third floor" James said and walked towards the elevator.
"Coming?" he asked.
"Yeah, I guess"
"Don't be afraid, I just want to help you, Florence."
"So, here it is" James said when we got to the front door of his flat "Sorry about the mess, and don't worry, my father is at work and won't be home before tomorrow"
"Why are you so nice to me?" I asked him. All the other people who I had met in the park didn't seem to care.
He smiled and said he just was a nice person.
"So, Florence, would you like to eat something?" James asked me.
I was very hungry, I hadn't eaten anything for days, but I tried not to show it.
We were talking about everything while he was preparing the dinner. I started to like him more and more. I found out that his mother died when he was a baby, and that there had been only James and his father ever since. I told him about my mother, too. James understood me, he knew exactly what it was like to live without a mother, although our situation was different. James said I could sleep in his room that night, he was sleeping on the couch. After that night I never left. The father of James didn't seem to mind, he was at work most of the time anyway. James convinced me that I should keep looking for my mother, so I did..But I couldn't find her. Years went by and we grew up. I loved James, he was the one who saved me. Who knows what would have happened if I'd stayed on the streets, homeless as I was. When I found out I was pregnant, James proposed me. We got married some months before Jeremy was born. I was so happy on that day - I was finally going to have something I'd always dreamt of - a family. James got a good job and I was home with my little boy, we were like any other normal family, and that was exactly what I wanted. When Jeremy turned 9, we decided to move out from that small flat and buy our very own home. The house was small, but I didn't mind. It was in a lovely neighborhood and Jeremy got his own room, so everything was great. James and I wanted to have another baby, I've always dreamt of having atleast 2 children. My life seemed to be perfect, until... On that horrible day I was preparing lunch, and Jeremy was playing outside. I had told him not to go far from the house because this place was new for him. Once the lunch was ready, I went outside to ask him if he was hungry. To my horror I couldn't find him. I shouted his name, but there was no answer. I ran around the house, not knowing what to do. I felt I was going crazy. I called to the police, they said they'd do everything possible to find Jeremy. Soon the evening came, it got dark outside, and there was still no sign of my son. James tried to console me, telling me that everything would be ok, but...
I knew now how my mother must have felt on the day the social worker took me away from her.
Jeremy was lost two horribly long days. In the morning of third day I thought I heard his voice and I ran out from the house. There he was, my baby. Luckily Jeremy was fine, a girl called Angel had helped him to find home. Actually Angel's real name is Sofia, and she had amnesia at that time, but that's another story. James and I helped Sofia to find her family, she was very thankful to us for that. But I think I can never thank her enought for bringing Jeremy home. Now that Jeremy was back, everything was good again. I was pregnant with my second child, James got promoted and we took a loan from the bank to renovate the house. Sofia visited us often, and sometimes took her twin-sister with her. Sadly this happiness didn't last for long. My husband lost his job and we thought we'll have to sell our house to pay the loan back. I felt sorry for Jeremy, he was so happy about his new room and the things we had bought him, and with a new baby on the way I didn't know what to do. I was afraid that my children would be taken away from me as I once was taken from my mother. Fortunately I told about the problems to Sofia's sister Maria. My daughter was born some weeks before Christmas. I named her after my mother - Ella. By that time we were really broke and I didn't know what was going to happen with us. When Maria and Sofia came to visit us after the Christmas, I thought they'd come to see Jeremy's little sister. But I was wrong. Sofia said she had something to tell me. Something important. When she started talking about what had happened to her while she had amnesia, where she had been, how she had been looking for a woman named Florence all that time... I realised Sofia had been living at my mother's house for some time. With my mother. She knew my real mother! I couldn't believe it...I think such thing is called...destiny. Sadly my mother wasn't alive anymore. We had been searching for each other all these years, and now that I finally found her, she was gone. I never got the chance to say good-bye. Being back at my old home, my real home, was not easy for me. So many memories, many of them happy, some of them very sad...And this house was so empty without my mother. But there still was one positive thing in all of this sadness - my mother had left me money...a whole bag full of money. And I'm not saying that money is very important or something that could make me happy, but I needed it desperatley at that moment. My family is doing much better now. We paid the loan back and didn't have to sell our home. Thanks to my mother my son Jeremy and little daughter Ella can have everything they deserve. Although I could never really be together with my mother, I will always remember her. And love her. Forever.

Thank you for reading!
Florence's story is related to my other stories, so if you haven't read them yet, you could :)
