This is the 16th chapter of Maria's story...

*One year and 3 months later* "Ok, let's try again, Bella!" I said to my little girl. I had been trying to teach her to walk for days already, but no success yet. "Hehe, lazy girl" I laughed when Isabel sat down on the floor again instead of making her first steps. "One more time, baby" I didn't give up. "Good girl, Isabel!"
Suddenly my cellphone rang... "Yes? Hi, Aaron. Yes, I'm at home..." "Of course he can come...Ok, see you then! Bye!" "Matty will come to visit us, Bella! But right now you will go to take a nap, yes you will! Little sleepy girl!"
Isabel smiled her sleepy smile... "Sleep well, sweetheart. When you wake up, Matty will be here already..." I told Isabel and put her to crib. She fell asleep fast, as always, so I decided to go downstairs and prepare something for lunch. It's incredible how fast time had gone by...And how much had happened! My little Isabel is a toddler already and Mathias started school... ... Aaron got married and now he's going to have a baby with Isolde...I'm really happy for him, of course, and for Matty, too. He needed a mother and now he has one. A good one... Well, anyway, I decided to make hamburgers, Matty's favourite food... I was thinking about Sofia a lot these days...She was going to get married, too. My sister had asked me to go to Morocco a week or two before the wedding and I had agreed. I really missed her and I knew that once everyone arrive there I wouldn't have the chance to spend time alone with Sofia. So, Isabel and I were going to Morocco before Sofia's big day, just the two of us. I had just finished serving the hamburgers when I saw Aaron's car.
"Aunt Mia!!!" Mathias almost shouted.
"I'll pick you up after 7, Mathias!" Aaron said with a bit sad voice. He had to go shopping with his wife, and as much as my brother hated it, he couldn't just stay over at my place like Matty did.
 "Hi, Matty. I hope you're hungry, I made hamburgers!" I said to my little nephew.
"Hamburgers! I love hamburgers! And I AM hungry!" he laughed.
"Ok, let's go inside then..." "Aunt Mia, where's Isabel?" Mathias asked with his mouth full... "She's sleeping"
"Oh...I wanted to play with her..." he said with a disappointment in his voice.
"You can play, don't worry, Bella will wake up soon. How's school?" "I got my first A! In maths!" Matty got excited. "That's great, Mathias! I'm very proud of you, and I'm sure your daddy was, too!" "Yes, and mommy, too...Mommy says I'm going to have a little baby brother, did you know, Mia?" "Yes, Matty. You're going to be a big brother." I told him and smiled. "Mia?" Matty said after thinking for a while...
"Yes?"
"Isolde isn't my real mommy, is she?" he finally asked. I honestly didn't know what to say, but I didn't want to lie, so I told him he was right. "My real mommy has yellow hair...I remember...I think I saw her today..." Mathias admitted. "What?" I got horrified... "No, Mathias, I think it was somebody else you saw...Your real mother is...Well...away..."
 "It sure did look like her..." Matty said and then thoughtfully continued eating his burger.
 Violet couln't be back! It was impossible...or?
I tried not to think about what Mathias had said...
"Hey, would you like to help me with packing?" I asked him to change the subject.
"Ok..." Mathias said not very enthusiastically. We went upstairs to my bedroom.
Mathias did not help me to pack my things, but I didn't expect him to do that anyway.
I had so much to do before going to Morocco! I didn't even have a dress yet... "Aunt Mia?"
"Yes, Mathias?"
"Can't I come to Morocco with you and Bella?"
"But you are coming, Matty, just a bit later."
"I know...It's just that...I have never been there before..." "I know you haven't been there..." Once again I didn't know what to say...I couldn't take him with me...
"Have you packed your clothes?" I asked him, hoping he would say 'no'.
"No" Mathias replied.
"So I guess you still have to go with your mom and dad..."
"I guess so..." Matty said sadly.
I never meant to make him sad...
"You'll have a lot of fun with your dad, Mathias, believe me. He knows much about that country. And I'll meet you there, sweety."
 After some minutes Mathias came to me to ask if Isabel was still sleeping... "I think she is, but you can go and see yourself. Just don't wake her..." I told him. ... "She is still sleeping..." Mathias came back to tell me...
"I'm bored, aunt Mia" he complained. "Well...You can jump on my bed if you want" I laughed. "Really? Can I?" he asked with a surprise.
"Yes, just don't tell your dad!"
"Cool!" Some simple things can make children so happy... ... Soon Isabel woke up. "Can I play with her now, aunt Mia?" Mathias asked.
"Of course, but before that I'll have to change Bella's diapers" I laughed.
"Yuk!" Matty said and ran to the other room. Isabel is always very happy after she wakes up, and seeing Mathias made her even happier. I played with the kids for a while. Bella loves her 'talking' Teddy, I'll definetly have to take this little bear with us on the plane... Thinking about the trip reminded me that I still had a lot to do, so I left Matty and Isabel playing and went to pack Isabel's clothes. Soon it was evening and Aaron came to take Mathias home... "Hi, Aaron!"
"Evening, sis! I hope Mathias didn't cause you too much trouble, I know you're busy..."
"Not at all. Actually I wanted to talk to you before you go..." I told my brother. "What is it, Mia?" Aaron asked me, "Is something wrong?" "I hope not..." I said, "But...Mathias told me today he had seen Violet..." "What??? That can't be...Violet's in prison..."
"Are you sure of that, Aaron? Maybe they let her out before the time?" "No, Maria...Don't worry about that. Violet can't hurt our family, not anymore..." my brother tried to comfort me. "Even hearing her name makes me scared, Aaron..." "I know, sis... But we can't live our lives in fear. Violet's not worth it. And I'm sure Mathias saw someone else, not her, he probably doesn't even remember exactly how Violet looks like..." "You're right, Aaron. She's not worth it." I said and hugged my brother. I'm so happy to have a brother like Aaron, I love him so much. ...
"Matty! Your dad is here!"
"Coming!" a voice from upstairs shouted.
 "Daddy!" Mathias ran down from the stairs to hug his father.
"Hi, fellow, did you have fun here?" Aaron asked his son.
"Yes, I played with Bella! Daddy?"
"Yes?"
"Isolde is always going to be my mommy, right?"
"Of course, Mathias...Why?"
"I just wanted to be sure of it" Matty said and smiled. Ben got home from work soon after Aaron and Mathias had left. We were watching TV and Isabel was playing with Domino when suddenly... ...she pushed herself up on her feet and made her very first steps. "Look, look, Ben! Isabel is walking! Look!" I shouted with joy. My little baby girl was walking all by herself! "Good girl, Isabel! Mommy loves you so much!" I said to my little daughter and hugged her. Then I tossed her to air and Isabel's laugher filled the room. *3 days later*

Finally everything was ready for the trip...The taxi was waiting for us. "Be a good girl to mommy, Isabel! Daddy's going to miss you!" Benjamin told our daughter. Isabel giggled. "It's going to be only one week. One week, my love, and we'll meet again..." I said and hugged my husband.
"I know, Maria...Are you sure you got everything?" he asked. "Yes, Ben, I'm sure. Don't worry, we'll be fine."
"Whatever you need, just call me and I'll be there, no matter how..."
 I had to kiss him to shut him up. He was making it hard for me to leave...
 "Let's go now, Isabel!" I said to my little girl and took her to the taxi... "See you next week, hun! I love you!" I told Ben and kissed him one more time.
"I love you too! Call me when you get there!" I heard him saying before the taxi drove off.
