I hope you enjoy part. 3 as much as I did! Thank you! Chloe arose around 9 a.m. the next morning anticipating meeting with Nicole for an extended day of bridal shopping in downtown's busiest, most exquisite shopping district. She pounced up from her Queen sized comfort, full of energy and yet, still felt the need for some Simbuck's coffee to get her day started. Not to her surprise, she brought her showering to a minimum when she heard a ring at her doorbell... My goodness is that woman early! Chloe thought to herself. Nicole was always on time. It was a factor since her teen years, but Chloe hadn't thought Nicole was THIS excited about bridal shopping as she was. Well... after all, that was one of the awesome traits about Nicole that made her Chloe's bestfriend. Chloe proceeded to the door when the phone rang. "Oh boy... What a busy morning this is going to be"... Chloe: OOhhhh! Chloe: What the??? Well, what a pleasant surprise! Chloe: Umm...For give me for answering the door in this attire! Let me just gather myself for one moment!...I'm gonna run and throw some clothes on, I'll be right back. Chloe ran to her room to get dressed. She wasn't expected to be knocked off her feet by such beauty. "Oh, I should of known not to answer the door this way!" She gazed at herself in the mirror, "After days full of surprises, I should of known better to be more prepared." Chloe: Let's try this again, well...here goes nothing. Chloe opened the door, and was mesmerized. Her toes tingled and her stomach felt as though she just indulged in a three course- two plate buffet. Here Shaun was... all grown up. Just as handsome and gorgeous as any artist would allow a human creation to be. She could recognized his peircing, deep grey eyes anywhere. Chloe: Sooooo, what brings you to my neck of the woods? Shaun: Well, as you probably know, I'm almost done with travel and journalism for work. I've been so many places and seen so many things that you wouldn't believe! I'm at peaks end with the wonders of the world. As much as you like photography, I managed to capture essence and it's entirety on digital. So we'll have tons of time to look over the photos. You'll be sooo amazed. Chloe: Shaun that's wonderful... I'm so proud of you and all of your accomplishments!
And umm, how did you manage to find me?
Shaun: Awwh come on half pint, you know you're never to far to find! Plus, I talked to your mom today when I landed back in the states. She sounds pretty good by the way! She told me to tell you hi. But ENOUGH about me right now, whatda bout' you? Still beautiful as eva' I see.
Chloe: Thanks! You're not doing so bad yourself. *Blushing*
Shaun: Did you finish school?
Chloe: Actually, I took a semester off which turned out to be longer than I expected. Soooo, I still have one semester to go. Believe it or not. I changed majors a couple of times.
Shaun: That's alright, a lot of people do. But I know that it's your passion to finish, so you'll get it done soon. I still believe in you.
Shaun: Now let's see... It's something else besides the hair color that you've changed... Hmmm... Chloe: Actually there is Shaun, you see... umm.. I'm engaged.
Shaun: What? How...I mean when did this happen?
Chloe: That's the real funny part, you see, I just got engaged a couple of days ago and Nicole and I are on are way to the shop and I thought you were her when, *HONK* HONK* Shaun: Darn Taxi cabs! Sorry bout that, but uh, you would of given away without getting at me?
Chloe: Of course not! It's just that I couldn't find you to tell you. Even though it's a small world and all.
*HONK* *HONK* Shaun: Well listen, we've never NEEDED a reason to celebrate but we always did, so how about you coming to visit me in Negril as my gift to you to say Congrats? I'm out there for work for the next two weeks.
Chloe: Uh, I dunno if that's such a good idea Shaun... Really?
Shaun: What could it hurt? Here's the ticket just in case. Just think about it at least! I've gotta get going though, this taxi is tripping and my flight leaves in a New York minute. So if so... cool, we can catch up, if not, I'll understand. But in it all, you take care.
And Just Like That, Shaun Was Out Of Her Life Again... Back In Jamaica... Shaun: Savon', thanks for picking me up at the Airport man, I appreciate it.
Savon': Awh, no problem Shaun, don't sweat it.
Shaun: Well, at least let me buy you a drink. *Ordering from the bar*
Shaun: Yeah, let me get two Seinekens...
Savon': What's going on with you man, you seem a bit "uptight".
Shaun: Puuh, a bit, yeah... Let me ask you something Savon'.

Shaun: You think you're with the woman your suppose to be with?
Savon': That my friend, depends on which day you're asking...
Savon': Too soon, people go running around here skipping, hopping, jumping, diving and falling in love. Falling in love ain't crap. Somebody PLEASE talk to me about how to stay there. Shaun: Geesh Savon', that was deep! I think you need a hug! Savon': *Laughing* Whatever man, but seriously this isn't about me, it's about you. So what's IT all about? Shaun: Well...You only get "ONE".

Shaun: I dunno... I think I lost my True Love, and it doesn't make ANY sense.
Savon': That my friend is your problem right there. Physics, this limbo ain't. It ain't suppose to make sense. Love, passion, it is what it is.

Savon': Well, did you get a chance to see her? And did she mention why she never contacted you?
Shaun: That's a good question. Now this is gonna sound strange, but I don't think SHE EVER got 'em...
Savon': Hmmmmm... Well, before we go. One thing to remember. Savon': If you do believe in True Love and Fate...Once that "JONES" hits, it's gonna be a simma sucka. Meanwhile... Back In Chicago's Suburbs *Ding Dong* Nicole: Hey girl! I've been trying to call you. What's up?
Chloe: Nicole, you wouldn't believe me if I told you! That must of been you calling when I answered the door. Any how, guess who shows up at my door today? Nicole: I can only imagine. Chloe, I bet it's the reason that I was calling you. Look, I've got some SERIOUS explaining to do. Maybe you better sit down for this one...
Chloe: As a matter of fact Nicole, I'll stand. Lately, I've been hit left and right with surprises to last me a life time. I'm sure what you have to say won't overwhelm me all that much. Nicole: Well before I began, I first pray that you will find somewhere in your heart to forgive me, but here goes: Remember when you were staying with me during your college years and you were studying Physical Therapy?
Chloe: Of course I remember Nicole, that was one of the most stressful times in my LIFE! How could I forget?
Nicole: Yeah well um, at that particular time, it was a stressful time in Shaun's life as well. He called one day during your exams and mentioned that he was leaving the states to further his career goals. He didn't know how well you were going to take it, being that he wouldn't have any access to the outside world. No computers or phones and so forth. I mean, with studying the seven wonders of the world and 20 interns fighting for the same position he had to stay focused. His cell phone didn't even work over seas!
Chloe: What Nicole! You knew about this and didn't tell me?! How could you?! You KNOW how many nights I cried myself to sleep wondering what happen to our friendship! Nicole: I know, I know, but hear me out! My every intention was good! I told Shaun that time heals all wounds. I gave him our address so that he could still write you. The PROBLEM with that is... I was suppose to give them to you after your finals! After Dave and I met we began establishing ourselves and bought this house, I got so wrapped up in things that I honestly just forgot to give them to you. Then when you called and said that you and Jeremy got engaged it dawned on me like damn! I forgot to tell you about the letters Shaun sent. You and Jeremy got closer than I imagined and time flew before I knew it. I'm soooo sorry Chloe. I never meant to let things get out of hand. I'm usually on top of my game and you know that. I'm human too ya know. Even though most people believe that I'm a Goddess.
Chloe: *Giggling* Nicole, you are a mess! I don't know what I'm going to do with you! Oh Nicole, *Whining* this changes everything, seriouly! I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place and I don't know what to do. Chloe: And those letters... Where are they now?
Nicole: Fudge-Sicles! Let me see... When we moved in here, I put a little red box in the garage, no wait the basement... Nicole: Ahhhh, I got it! I think they're in the attic. I'll be right back Chloe.
Chloe stood what seemed liked decades waiting for Nicole's return.
What did the letters say? Did Shaun mention how he felt about her? Did he ever think about taking their friendship to the next level? Most importantly... What was Chloe going to do???
Find out later friends on... "It Could Happen To You" Pt. 4.
