Hi, my name's Shea.... (That's pronouced She`a with a looong A.)

Hi, my name's Shea.... (That's pronouced She`a with a looong A.)
This bit of fiction I'm about to explain to you is based on my life. I'm quite sure you've never heard our stories in "Sim" life told to you in person, So sit tight, lend me your ear, and listen to my dilemma.
This is my fiance Jason. Handsome and hardworking... you don't find that often. We plan to wed June of next summer. I'm so proud of his accomplishments and to be his. Not to mention he graduated from Jackson State University (Mississippi) and he his one of MANY successful "OMEGAS"! Ruuuuuufffff for the "O" Dogs! Anyhow, we live in a small city in Illinowhere; Where there is no where to go, no one to see and nothing to do except, WORK! I will be so excited to move back down South along with my fellow HOUSTONIANS! I miss me famili`a! One long night Jason and I sat up discussing our future plans and location in which we would settle and start a family of our own, that is, after I finish college of course. Well, funny how God works, that same week while I was preparing his ultimate favorite: Lasagne, Garlic toast, and salad Emm Emm. He told me that he got a promotion from his job and that we would be relocating soon. Hurray!

Then... came the "OTHER" news.......
Tampa Florida?! You mean THEE Tampa Florida????? Florida?! OOOh no ;o( I wasn't sure how to take it. Isn't that where all the hurricanes are? Jason knows I can't swim well. Even the world's greatest swimmer wouldn't be able to survive those. He tried to take it easy on me and mentioned that they have GREAT colleges for me to attend. I COULD go back to school for graphics art... After Monday night football I stayed up all night thinking about it. After all it WAS closer to family in Houston, but totally different from what I had imagine. Don't get me wrong ya'll, I love Florida, the people are nice and the scencnery is great, but it's not home, and it's VERY close to the water. Matter of fact, The ONLY water that I truly enjoy is my tub filled with bubble bath. So I sat, and sat gazing out the window until the whole relocation thing sank in and oozed out the other ear. Sooooooo........
As I finish this briefing of what's currently go on in my life and upload it to all the "True Simmers" out there, I have one thing to say to yall...........
HEEEEEEEELP!!!! "WHATDOIDO, WHATDOIDO"???? You be the judge.

TO BE CONTINUED............

Aw, that must suck, having to move away from your family to a whole new place. I know when I moved to Florida from New Jersey, I sobbed because I was leaving my best friend and my pets behind (I was 7). Florida is okay though....I mean, I live in central Florida though, so I'm not really near the water. XD My only real complaints are that Florida is growing way too fast (nothing like construction and destruction of nature! >.

Make the move! You never know, you may really like it. Also, you need to be supportive of your fiance, it sounds like he thought of you when he looked into the college there. Besides your young, your careers may take you many places. Look at Florida as the first step on your journey through life together. The road is long, but it's a short trip so make the most of it. Good luck.

I want to add, the best part of going is when you see your family and friends, it is more exciting because now they have a vacation destination. That was the cool part for my family.

Excellent start to your story! As for what she should do, well, in this day and age everybody picks up and moves at the drop of a hat. I wish it weren't so. To me family is more important than high-fallutin' promotion because some things are worth way more than money, and close family is one of those. \:wub\:

Anyway, keep up the great writing!

P.S. To the poor soul who said Florida's growing too fast: you're not alone. I live practically on the other end of the country and things are growing so fast here our heads are spinning. I wish I could pack up lock, stock, barrel and family and find someplace, anyplace, that was like this place used to be.
