I know, I know, it's been forever... I can only say I am really sorry. I left you saying I have to study a lot. And I did study a lot, but that's not the only reason why it took so long to write. Something just suddenly went wrong and I was just unable to load my game. Quite for a while I was afraid I lost everything I had. Luckily, not. Everything was fine, I managed to get my game back. But I just lost connection with my legacy characters. It was so difficult getting back to them, as if you've had good friends you haven't seen for ages and when you get to see them you feel they're complete strangers to you. And then, guess what... Something happened and I wasn't able to load my game again. I don't know why or how this happens, just happens. I still don't have a new video card (hopefully I will have it this year), so my big legacy lot is really slow, especially with all those ghosts moving around and trust me, it's annoying. But I did my best and set myself a deadline to post this chapter before Christmas.

But I did my best and set myself a deadline to post this chapter before Christmas. On to the story. Last time you've read this, Iris was just turned to teenager, right? It will be hard, I don't remember many things... And (oh, sorry, I can't stop complaining) I have lost the notebook where I kept all the point counts and all the names I picked for the future generations. I have to re-count everything and think up new names.
P.S. The title actually means "End of Donna's era, beginning of Iris's era", but it's too long to type! You could also read it by the meaning that we're getting closer to the 5th generation, which is half way through and it also might be considered the new era. It was very important that Iris, as a heir and future owner of all the family businesses (I'm still hoping to make them all level 10 by some fortune aspiration heir), will learn all the perks. Luckily, she seemed to like learning and listened to everything with a smile. (Not like Donna in her teens). One of my dogs got old just a day after Iris grew up. And one of my dogs died. I don't remember the names, sadly... And all my lists are lost somewhere... And I'm currently (at the moment of writing) not in the legacy lot, so I can't even check the latest graves... Benny making friends. Luckily he's not just fighting everyone. I was playing my legacy and suddenly thought - hey, this is the biggest lot I have! It must get a helicopter! No one owns it yet :) Ellie brought home a Show business career reward. And a friend... He did some useful AL thing. Offered something... I don't remember what. Ally grew up to an adult dog. There she is. The first of three Donna's children went to college. Frankling reached the top of Culinary career track. That's Gabriel as a student. Changing clothes to match his gaming hobby. Claiming room with a dresser. Some girl is sleeping in Gabriel's bed! And another one! Actually it happened the first time in my game, maybe because I usually make my sims lock their dorm rooms. Gabriel's bed is popular! This one looked so disappointed, that Gabriel was using his bed himself. And the sandwitch number 200! You know, cheese sim's LTW never changes when fulfilled. I wonder if you can fulfill it twice. I'll try! Actually he spent most of his time in college just "conjuring sandwitches" and sleeping. Just played a little, visited classes a little... But I was happy to be able to play on max speed and get it through quickly. This is the result of attempt to "paint grilled cheese". Gabriel, who do you think you are, Picasso? Oh, now you think you're 5 years old... Now that's what I call art. A closer look. The Art In Progress. And graduated finally, with no special events, back home! No luck finding a job in games. A clothing change. Ellie became old. She also had a clothing change. You know, this house is screaming for a rebuild. I think I'm going to completely re-do the house when the 5th generation is born. As a gift for myself for getting so far. Franklin grew up a few hours later than Ellie, he had to come back from work. Still no dream job... Ally needs someone to have puppies with, so the family adopted Leroy. There he is as an adult. Ellie old already, but still irresistible to her "woohoo victims". And not only to them... Crumplebottom is back. "Hey, that hurts!" I've seen a downloadable item "Crumplebottom's purse" on Sims Wardrobe site. That object can be used to beat other sims. I wonder if you can use it back on the Crumplebottom herself. Have to try some day. Hector is off to college. Hey, bad luck didn't last long! At first I thought I am either going crazy or having a glitch. Because this toddler music toy played by itself. But it just happened to be Blair's ghost wandering around. Hector in college. A gypsy came! She left a lamp as a gift. I was so rushing to get him through college as quick as possible that I didn't really get any pictures. There he is, graduated. Clothing change back at home. Ellie's number 20, I think... I'm not sure which one it was. But definately not 30 yet. Time for Donna to die. Felt sad to me, too. She was my favorite sim in this family so far. Leaving for her eternal vacation. The whole family crying. (Except for Gabriel, who's sleeping) My first popularity grave. Amanda, the founder, came to scare my heir. Amanda, it's not nice. A closeup of scared Iris. Hector had no luck finding a job in music career, but being a popularity sim I let him take the politics one. I still need that career reward. But he will be looking for a music job, because his LTW is to become Rock God. Time for one of my dogs to die... I think that should be Erin. Weird guy. He fell from the sky, kissed Ellie, fell in love... And offered to put her up on a blind date with his friend! LOL, those AL features are funny sometimes. I agreed, but canceled the "ask on date" interaction to avoid conflict. Ellie just let the other guy stick around while she woohooed the first one. When he left, she used the voodoo doll on the other one to make him fall in love. Two victims in one evening! Gabriel finally found a job as a gamer! Donna's ghost appeared. Soon. Nicholas haven't showed up yet. Will he ever? I'm not even sure if I can count his ghost color if he doesn't appear as a ghost! Right, go ahead, scare your own son. Or are you mad at him that he was sleeping while you were dying? Benny got old. And Ally did the pet woohoo with Leroy. The grilled cheese sandwitch number 400. By the time I'm writing this he already ate 405. And I can declare that it's not possible to gain aspiration points for eating 2x200 sandwitches, you get it only once, when there are 200. Probably maxis didn't believe anyone would get so far. A very very scared Franklin. Or shuold I say wet scared? I hope you happy evil ghost, whoever you were... It came time for Iris to leave for college. There she is, all grown up. She got the orphaned sims scholarship, by the way. First - to declare her major. That's philosophy. So far. I might change it. I'm not sure yet about her career. New clothing. Meanwhile, back at home. Good news: Ally gave birth to a puppy right after she came back from work with her last promotion (the top of career). Bad news: she had TWO puppies! What am I going to do... I was already counting - one puppy, one sim (the one that Iris finds to be her husband)... And there's no space for a baby. Now there's no space even for a husband! Oh well, I have many genie lamps there (at least 3, I think) to keep her young. Painting in college. Writing a novel in college. A bestseller! Great! She needed money for vacations. While not painting and not writing, Iris spent her time chatting with the male sims who were from vacation lots (she has all perks, remember? she has the one that allows to call anyone). And so there came time for the first vacation. She went right after the first semester. She went to the mountains. To search for a future husband. Axe-throwing... Tree-reading... Flapjacking... Slapdancing... Manhunting! She knew this guy, talked on the phone already. Far from handsome. But if I find nothing better (she has already met worse), I think he might just be the one... Hey, I have that Show Business reward after all! She doesn't really like him but doesn't dislike him. Right, check yourself instead of guys. She does that all the time, but I really like that interaction. This guy could be not bad, but he has a big nose. But still... He can make a massage... Ok ok I get it, Iris doesn't really like him. So we're back to where we started. I'd grab this one, if not his brown hair. I'm starting to regret some handicaps I've chosen, but I'm making it till the end. Buying some jewelry. Iris's first kiss... Oops, rejected! But he accepted her flirtings! And a romantic hug! Oh come on, don't cry, Iris. We'll get him. Or a better guy. The hotel lot was soooo extremely slow that I got tired of it. Even the max speed on some lots seems to make it only slower. Iris spent a few more hours in her room, calling each male possible who's an adult and doesn't have brown hair. Checking which ones would have "invite over" option, because those are from the mountains. One wasn't so bad. So it's either him or the one who rejected her. Will decide later. Now back to college. Back at college I changed Iris's major to politics. I think she might be a lawyer. Not that I understand simlish, but... "You slacker! What are you doing sitting around! GET UP! WORK OUT!" Poor Iris. She obeyed to the guy that yelled at her. Guess what, he came back the other day! Eating pancakes is also a crime! Relax, she's not joining your football team or something. Ok, now THAT'S new!!! I have a ghost on my dorm lot! I turned on build mode so I can see all the rooms what's inside. And I found a grave!!! This girl has something to hide... I actually had this happened on my Pleasantview college a few times. It started after I installed AL, I think. I wish I knew how this happens. I really don't want to have haunted dorms. Right after sophmore year, Iris went on vacation again. This time she took both her potential husbands with her. She'll have to decide which one will be joining the family.
(Note: one more grave! I don't know if I shuold count them as a penalty "for each visitor who dies on the lot". I hope no, I didn't do anything to them, didn't invite them, don't even know why or how it happens! It's Maxis's fault, not mine!) And so, we arrived to my legacy family's vacation house. This is the guy number 1. Cole Fleig. And the guy number 2, in the picture he looked like he had black hair, but it's brown! I guess I can't chose him... The good thing taking them on vacation is I can see their aspirations. They're both family sims. Cole has a LTW to reach golden anniversary, William (the one in the picture) - become Celebrity Chef. Oh well. I guess the first guy one even without a battle. I'm going to stuck him into that Show Business career reward when back at home... The kiss worked this time. Well, she has a relationship of 100/100 with both guys. Now that's just great. I send Iris to the double bed hoping that Cole will join her. Instead he goes to sleep in a single bed. And with one more single bed and a spot in the double bed being left, William picks to sleep with Iris! So much for a family guy. First he rejects a kiss, then doesn't want to sleep with her. And she still makes him breakfast! Iris learning the fire dance. Cooling down a little. Cole went to the single bed again. But I made him come... ...and stay. And just before going back to college... Maybe that will make him remember who is the most important woman in his life now! Tired of her aspiration dropping so fast and no big wants to fulfill i took the lamp she was carrying in her inventory and asked the genie for piece of mind. And speaking of genie lamps - this family soon will be able to make a business selling them. The weird thing is that the lamp is (again!) delivered not to the controlable sim in the dorm. I don't know who's is it. But anytime it happens my controlable sim takes it. Sorry, dormies! And there it is finally - time to go home. I know this part is short, considering how long it took me to upload... And I'm sorry. I was thinking maybe I should not upload just yet but play more and only upload when the next generation is born (and it would actually be the new era), but I decided to upload now, otherwise it might have took a week or two more... Unfortunately I can't promise you that next part is soon. I have exams to study for. And I want my new storie's first to chapters uploaded this year (they are written, I just need the pictures). But I will try not to keep you waiting too long! If you want to be notified when the next part of my legacy or the first part of my new story will be uploaded, leave a comment and I'll let you know!
