This is my first story, so I hope it is to all your liking. Thanks to my sis for inspiration (on the good parts, that is!) I'm Jannelle. I've always been the different one in my family, the nerd! I don't know why, I certainly don't feel that I am different. I know I'm not the poster girl for beauty or anything but I can get over it. My twin sister Hillary, as you can probably tell, has had life pretty easy. Friends by the fistful... And guys falling all over her! Just before we came to college, I found out we were going to the same one. This was not good for me. I wanted it to be different, no longer in her shadow. I was going to be Jannelle, not the Ugly sister anymore. Sadly, Dad didn't agree with me. He said that as sisters, we had to stick together and that family is all we have. Dad, must have been deluded when he thought that one up. Even Hillary wasn't looking forward to it. I know I must really cramp her style. Just the thought of living with her and a bunch of strangers made me sick! I guess I just had to accept what had been handed to me. I thought maybe it won't be so bad. That was until I saw Jarrod! Oh, my! But he was completely out of my league, out of my Universe! I just pined for him every single moment. As if that wasn't bad enough, I found out... From my new friend Jezabelle, that Jarrod was with my sister! I was devastated. Why did she have to do that! I knew that he was just going to be another notch on her belt. I felt so helpless. What was I doing, anyway, wanting to be with someone who would never even think about talking to me! Anyway, for the next couple of weeks, I tried so hard to stop thinking about him. It never worked. Until one day, Jezabelle told me to stop crying and gather up some courage to go over and talk to him. Get to know him! She said it was worth a try. And I believed it was.... So there he was, talking to Clifford (who knew what Clifford he was doing here?) I felt like my heart was going to take off out of my chest. I was so nervous. But I managed to make it over to him. We started talking
Jarrod: Oh, hey there Janelle!

Janelle: Wha...What did you just say?

Jarrod: I said hey, I assumed you were coming over here...

 Jarrod: That's so embarrassing! Sorry about that. I'm such an idiot! Jannelle: Oh, no, I was coming over here, I just didn't think you even knew who I was!

Jarrod: Well, I do! I mean, I am going out with your sister. Um, is she doing alright?
 That's the last thing I wanted to talk about. My sister, Puh!

Jarrod: Hey, where are you going? Uh, didn't you wanna talk...or....uh..something?

Jannelle: Um, *sob*, maybe later! Uh, yeah....later. Jarrod: I must've said something wrong! I wish she knew how I felt. She's just way too smart to even think about going around with someone like me! This idea was stupid... I knew trying to get to her using her sister was idiotic! Now, I just passed up my chance! So later came, and there was Hillary and Jarrod arguing! She was crying really hard and saying Sorry over and over again. I found out off Jezabelle, that Hillary had been cheating! Oh, my, how could anyone even think about cheating on Jarrod. Whoever, she's cheating with must be Brad Pitt or something!

Jezabelle: Oh, no, it ain't Brad Pit! It's Clifford!

Jannelle: What??? Clifford, Clifford?

Jezabelle: Clifford, Clifford! My goodness, Clifford and my sister? I couldn't believe it at first so I had to seek the truth out myself. Jannelle: You and Clifford? I don't believe! What are you on, Hillary?

Hillary: Look, Jannelle! You wouldn't understand, I really love him!

Jannelle: Well, I know that now, but why did you cheat on Jarrod? Hillary: I've always had feelings for Clifford, but I knew what people would think! So, I went out with Jarrod! Jarrod and I had any agreement, that I could see Clifford and that I would help him... Ummm....get to know.. um ...this girl! That fight we had the other night... I didn't keep my word and he got fed up!

Jannelle: What? So, you and him were never..... Oh my!

Hillary: I know you hate me, I know we never got on but I've always envied you, Jannelle. You're smart and you never worry about what people think of you. I feel I have this image to uphold, and I can never let my guard down and make a fool of myself! I've always admired you, Janelle! I look up to you. Jannelle: Me? But I'm nobody! You... you are someone! You have everything that I could ever wish for...well... now we both don't have Jarrod.
 Hillary: What did you say? Do you like Jarrod?

Jannelle: LIKE? LIKE? I LOVE him! But there's no way...

Hillary: No, there is a way! Jarrod likes you! You're the other girl! He made me swear not to tell you! But you're the one I had to help him with!

Jannelle: Jarrod likes me? No way!
 Hillary: I will help you! I'll organise everything! It's the least I could do!

Jannelle: But look at me, I'm ugly! Hillary: You are definitely not ugly! You just need a little make-up, put your hair up and take the glasses off!

Jannelle: I hope that's all it takes! Jannelle: What about what I'm wearing? Does it look Okay?

Hillary: Oh, I have the perfect little outfit! Jannelle: Is that really me? I....I... I'm speachless!

Hillary: No Jannelle, you're beautiful! Jannelle: Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou! I can't believe you did this for me! I really didn't understand you. I'm so sorry, for.... for everything. *sob* Dad was right, we really do have to stick together!

Hillary: I know, it's alright, Janny, don't cry! You're gonna make me cry. And your make-up is gonna run! We can't have that, not on your date with Jarrod! Jannelle: Date? You set up a date? Oh, my! I feel faint!

Hillary: You'll be fine! He'll be here any minute to pick you up! And he came! I honestly didn't think he would! I was terrified, nervous and ecstatic all at once! So many thoughts running through my head - Do I look okay? Is my breath alright? Did I get the contacts in right? Jarrod: Wow, you look....amazing!
 Well, Jarrod and I are completely happy! We've been going out for a year now and everything is so amazing! Hillary and Clifford are still together, actually he proposed to her last week! So she's busy planning a wedding and she has made me her Maid of Honor! And our relationship is stronger than ever! We hang out more and we found that we actually have so much in common! I don't know what I would do without her.
