Alba's Story:

This was our childhood home. My Mom and Dad met here in the yard and a few years later, me and my sister, Adrienna were born. I don't think there is any body in the world I'm closer to than Adrienna.
Although we look a lot alike, we couldn't be more different. I'm quiet and reserved. I'm neat and very fastidious about my life. Adrienna is a party girl and has always been. When she walks in, she is the light in the room and everyone loves her. She discovered early on that boys are particularly drawn to her. At 17, I went to college. Addy opted to stay home and finish out one more year of high school. She said she was having WAY too much fun to graduate now! So we parted ways. It was strange, being without my other half. At first, the room to myself, keeping my own schedule, and doing my own thing was oddly wonderful...but before long, I found it to be rather lonely. I missed Addy. Then I met Preston. He was so sweet...at first. He was tender with me and he understood that I'd never even been kissed. We dated for awhile and Preston was even my "first". But I discovered that he was a bit of a player. About a month after we started dating, I found Preston in the music room with a Cow...okay, it was a mascot, but it hurt all the same. I made many friends over time, but I sort of wonder if they were the right sort of friends. They were terribly snobby and self-important, but they did invite me to their grand secret home. While we were there, some awful plant ate Ron, one of my friends. It was too weird. The gang then had this bizarre ceremony and "drank" Ron. I will never get that out of my head. I never went back there. And then there was Scott. Oh my... I was in L-O-V-E love. He was perfect for me and I couldn't believe how much we had in common. We dated a couple of years. At the beginning of my Senior year, I discovered that not only was I still in L-O-V-E love, but now I was also P-R-E-G-N-A-N-T. At first, I didn't tell Scott, but eventually it became rather hard to hide. And this is Bradley. I was so thrilled to see that he has my mother's beautiful lavender eyes. Adrienna and I both have Daddy's blue eyes but Bradley got Momma's eyes. He appears to have his Daddy's hair. Despite the birth of a son, I managed to graduate college with a 4.0 average. I never let my indescretion stand in the way of my success. After graduation, I bought this nice little place in Baybridge Wheel Estates, right next door to Momma and Daddy. And Adrienna. It was SOO good to see her again. She had...changed. But she has her own story to tell and I won't spoil it. Scott was just a semester behind me in school and before long, I found him sitting at my kitchen table asking to be a part of mine and Bradley's lives. I've never loved him more than I did at that very moment. I was so pleased he wanted to marry me and raise his son. Naturally, I said "YES". And in a quiet little ceremony at home, I became Mrs. Scott Leonard. OUR son Bradley will be three years old tomorrow. Daddy is still mad at Scott for getting me pregnant while I was in college, but he'd get over it eventually. My son, Bradley, turned into a beautiful child, with all the deep, sweet spirit of my father. As a matter of fact, Bradly looks a lot like Daddy did at this age. Bradley will someday have his own story to tell. Adrienna's Story:

Alba was right...I changed when she went to college. It was the first time in my life that I didn't have her to hold me down and keep me sane. She went away and I went wild. And I discovered that there was a price to pay.
Momma and Daddy were both real supportive and assured me that everything was going to be okay. I didn't care about school and stuff like Alba did, but I sure wanted the best for my baby. Momma was there for me through the whole pregnancy. The father was just a boy from school. I had lots of them so I never named anyone. And eventually, I gave birth to my son Bartlett. He was a healthy, bouncing baby boy with my eyes and his daddy's hair. I was excited about being a Mom...and a little scared. ...because I ALSO gave birth to his brother, Bailey. Yep, being a twin myself, I feared this might happen and it did. Bailey has his grandmother's eyes and delicate skin. He appears to have his father's black hair as well. Thank goodness for Momma! When the boys turned two, I decided that maybe I wanted to go to college after all. I talked to Momma about it and she agreed that she and Daddy would keep the boys while I went away to school. I will forever be grateful to her for that. So off I went. I chose a different school from the one Alba had gone to. She made a name for herself there, and I didn't want any academic reputation to have to live up to. So it was off to La Fiesta Tech for me. As soon as I arrived, I changed my look and dove into the campus directory for some hot new dates! Leaving my babies behind was harder on me that I expected it to be. But a phone call home every day helped ease the ache I felt for my twin sons. Sometimes I felt guilty letting Mom raise them. I had a great time at college and frankly, I loved it there. I did pretty good with my grades and even better with my social life, but I missed my boys so much. Many weekends, I would come home just to see them and make sure they didn't forget me. One bleak day, Momma called us all home...me and Alba. Daddy was sick and she was pretty sure he wouldn't make it through the night. She was right. He had a good life and he lived to be 79. He died tending his beloved fruit trees. Daddy was a master gardener and he made sure that we all had fresh food in our refrigerators. Poor Tabasco just couldn't understand why Henry wouldn't play with her anymore. She spent many nights howling at his tombstone. Back at school, I found things to be heating up. Alba complained about the lack of suitable guys, but I think her standards were just too high. I found plenty of "playmates". My goal in life is to have 20 different lovers. This chap here is number 11. Too cool, eh? Ah, I love men! Alba's Story:

Sure, Adrienna had a great time. She even bragged to her friends about her many lovers. But alas, it's the brilliant flames that burn out too quickly. And the same was true of Adrienna.
I loved her. Many people did. And Addy loved life, and men. One cool spring morning, long before sunrise, Adrienna slipped up to the roof to soak quietly alone in the hot tub. She fell asleep there and the steam overpowered her. Her last vigil was one seen all over the campus that morning.

Good-bye Adrienna. We will all miss you.
Momma stayed strong for Adrienna's boys and she continued to care for them. Truth be told, after Daddy's death, she sort of lost her spirit for awhile there. Now, with twin toddlers to care for, Momma had a new purpose. But about six months after Adrienna died, a young man showed up at the door. He said his name was Willis Lindsay. He asked to speak privately to Momma. She let him in, but was later sorry that she did so. Willis came in and spoke with Mom. He had some papers to show her that she did not want to see. Adrienna had died suddenly, with no will and no instructions for the care of her sons. Willis was their biological father and he had come, with a court order, to collect his children. He promised Mom that she would be welcome any time, but he took the boys, her boys...his boys and left. And Momma, Claire Abshire Detamble, was alone. A bright light shone down from heaven and she felt Daddy's voice. In peace, Momma walked back into her empty house and closed the door behind her. She smiled. Aaron would be home from school soon.

Thanks everyone, for the nice comments...to answer a few questions...Adrienna had to die because she died...I don't believe in "exit without saving" unless it's a serious glitch. Adrienna overheated in the hot tub and caught fire. She was the only controllable Sim on the dorm lot, so she died. Aaron is their little brother (see Baybridge Beginnings) and no, the Mom hasn't died, but she's close. She's lifetime Plat and 74 days old.
