It's a New Year

Author: Lady DarkFire | Posted Jan 9, 2009

Hope that your new year is filled with wonderful surprises and plenty of success! Even though I had wanted to get back to creating I can't seem to draw away from playing World of Warcraft. It's an amazing MMO with a zany community. Which isn't to that I've given up on Sims. One day I'll get that creating bug again. Until then though it's a wild downloading spree for me! Anyways, here's to an exciting and fun-filled 2009 for all. Take care!

Epic Journey

Author: Lady DarkFire | Posted Nov 4, 2008 | 0 comments

Hi guys,

it's been a long time since my last update. IRL matters have always taken priority over games and unfortunately it meant giving up Sims 2 for a while. Thankfully things have finally cleared up! I have a ton to catch up on in the Sims world. Heck, I have a lot of stuff packs and expansions to purchase. Gah! (>.<)/

At any rate it'll be pretty fun making the trek back. When I first started making custom foods(Taught by the very awesome Fireflies before the tutorials came out o.O) there wasn't much of anything. Nowadays there's a great deal to choose from and that's just delightful. Hopefully I can find my niche again.

Take care and happy simming!

How-to Recolour my 2D Wall Scroll

Author: Lady DarkFire | Posted Oct 24, 2006 | 0 comments

I've received a few PM's in regards to how to recolour my 2D Wall Scroll mesh. The way I mapped it out allows for the picture to be stretched out in the same way that Maxis walls are stretched out for the game. Before I begin though? Thank you so much for downloading my wall scroll.

How to recolour my 2D Wall Scroll:

1.) First create a 505x833 template. This is the image that will be on the wall scroll.

2.) Paste the picture of what you want on the wall scroll onto that 505x833 template.

3.) Once that is done re-size the 505x833 template to fit onto the 512x512 texture. The part that you are 'squishing' is the picture minus the bars. The bar is the one on the bottom and the cap is to the right of the bar. So you can recolour the bar and cap differently.

4.) Once you copy and paste the 505x833 picture onto the appropriate place on the mesh texture it will fit perfectly in game. No distortion!
