I could use some prayers for my baby. She has a shunt placement surgery on July 16. They have told me it is a quick procedure but I am still nervous about them messing with her head. For those that don't know, the shunt drains excess fluid off of her brain. She also has a 4 hour hip surgery on July 28. I would take prayers for that too. Oh, and that I sufficiently learn how to change her diapers with a body cast on!! Thank you so much.

Well I'll keep praying. But then again I've been praying for her to get BETTER the whole time. You guys will be in my thoughts even more than usual. Big long distance hugs.

I'll put the pray on my heart, dear.

I just proceed to chain of praying, which I belong, too, and they will pray for your little. God bless you.

Of course Auntie Kay is ALWAYS praying for her little Sweet Cheeks. I will tell my church about what is going on too (of course). Also pray that Auntie Kay can learn to change a child in a body cast too and doesn't get all grossed out! Pray too that I can stay with Laurie and Arianna in the hospital for the hip surgery too! Laurie needs moral support and for once I would be there for her and be able to help her!! =oD

I really hope everything goes well for you & Arianna - you just need to try and stay positive and believe in the fact that you're doing what's best to help her
It's not always easy I know - my daughter had to have an operation on her eyes when she was about 18mths old, and you always think the worst (what if......!) - it's human nature, - but the following day she was up and bouncing around like nothing had happened - it's amazing how resilient little ones are, and how quickly they forget and get over these things (it's us 'oldies' that go through it all!!).
Anyway, here's wishing you both all the very best - I'll be thinking of you! Take care

I agree with what Shadow66 said about young children being so resilient. Hopefully everything will be sorted out while Arianna's still so young and she won't even remember most of it! Karie sent me a picture of her... she's so cute!!! Don't forget to take care of yourself too! x
