First of all, I want to thank everyone on this site for being some of the most amazing, welcoming, accepting and friendliest people I have ever met over the internet. This was one of the first sites I ever joined (I think I joined TSR even before I made my own email o.0) and seeing how nice everyone on here was gave me courage to join other sites, thus making me much more internet-savy. I loved being a part of this site, and a part of the Sim community. Everyone on here either writes amazing stories, or creates beautiful items for the game (sometimes even both), so I end up being simply blown away everytime I check out what's going on at TRS. The people I have met here have been sweet, friendly and simply accepting. I can say without a doubt that joining this site has been one of the best things I ever did.
However, goods things cannot last. My increasingly neurotic father now has some theory that Windows (and Apple) are going to take over the world. So he has, much to my anger and resent, switched all the computers in our household from Windows to a different system called Linux. Which sadly does not read CDs or DVDs. Which means there is no way for me to play Sims anymore.
This may not be such a bad thing. Even before my father made the switch, I was slowly losing interest in the Sims. I really wanted to upload things I made onto this site, but our computer had a virus that prevented me from doing so. It also prevented me from uploading stories ever again. In short, the only thing I could do was play the game. And because our computer was a couple years old, Sims made the computer reaaaaaaaally slow.
So with no way to upload stories and/or content onto this site, and a steadily declining interest in Sims, I felt that there was no longer any point for me to be a part of this site. I am a freshmen in high-school, so I'm still trying to get used to the whole set-up of high school, I have finally become serious about dancing, and am taking a class everyday of the week, along with two extra classes, on top of which, both my parents work, so I baby-sit my young siblings a lot. I loved this site, but felt there wasn't any point for me to be here any longer.
Each and everyone of you on here contributes to this site in some way. Whatever it is you do, don't stop. Keep up the writing, creating and just Simming in general. All of you are amazingly, wonderfully talented people, and I love you all. Don't stop creating!
