This part 8 of my story.
"It will be ok," Katie consoled her friend, "Jake and I are here to support you."
"Yeh we won't leave you alone if you don't want to," Jake assured Jenna. "I have to do this alone, but thank you," Jenna told her friends who only had eyes for another. Jenna sucked in a breath when she saw Alex coming. Did she look really pregnant? she thought to herself as she held in her stomach. "Hi you," Alex smiled at Jenna not noticing her huge baby bump. He instively pulled her in for a hug.
"What the...?" he said pulling away and looking down at her stomach, "You're..."
"Pregnant?" Jenna finished, "That's why I wanted to speak to you."
"I don't understand...who's....when?" Alex said confused.
"It's yours Alex. I am 7 months gone, the baby was conceived that bight of the party, before you dated Katie," Jenna admitted and Alex just looked angry.
"You're angry!" Jenna said sadly. "Yes I am," Alex snapped.
"Well I am bringing up this baby with or without you," Jenna snapped back. "With me," Alex told her, "I am going to help you bring this baby up."
"I don't understand...why were you angry?" Jenna asked confused.
"I am angry because you waited till now to tell me!" Alex replied, "I've missed 7 months of my child's first months already!" "May I?" Alex said gesturing to Jenna's tummy.
"Of course," Jenna smiled.
"Hey there little one," Alex cooed, "I am your daddy." He looked up at Jenna and smiled and she smiled back. "I am here for you both, I promise- ok?" Alex assured Jenna softly. And he kept that promise. Alex was there at the house every night checking and worrying about Jenna. 3 weeks before the due date, Jenna felt some tinges. She called Alex to let him know and he said he'd come right over from work. A few moments later, Jenna gasped as she felt her waters break. Soon the contractions got deeper and she couldn't see Alex making it in time to take her to hospital. She screamed in pain hoping for someone to get there. Doubled over in pain and breathing heavily she managed to page Katie and Jake to get home from their meal together.
"I can't do this alone," Jenna sobbed. "DO I LOOK OK?" Jenna snapped, "This is all your FAULT, you got me PREGNANT, ow ow owwwwwwww."
"Breathe baby, remember what the doctor said, breatheeee," Alex stammered.
Soon Jenna was ready to give birth and the doctor had arrived to assist the delivery. Alex supported her the whole time as the baby was delivered.
Alex stared at his beautiful daughter and knew life would never be the same, "She's beautiful," he said as he kissed Jenna's forehead gently.
"I am proud of you," Alex told her. After Jenna went to hospital with Alex and their baby girl to have a check up. Soon they arrived home to a happy Jake and Katie.
"She's gorgeous!" Jake cheered. "Welcome to the world, little one!" Katie clapped. "Hello Riley Taylor Wilson," Jenna beamed looking at her daughter and wondering whether she could get anymore beautiful. "Night my darling," Jenna said tucking her sleepy baby into bed. She spent the whole night laying in bed listening for her daughter's cries and getting up to check on her. Alex was there every day looking at his daughter. Like Jenna he didn't realise the affect a baby would have on his life. Now nothing else in the world mattered except his daughter and her well being. She wasn't expected nor was she planned but Alex and Jenna couldn't imagine life without her. Their relationship had improved too. Jenna stilled loved Alex and Alex saw Jenna in a whole different light. "Hello Riley," Alex cooed at his daughter.
"She looks like you," Jenna told him.
"I know," Alex beamed. "No man will ever love you as much as me," Alex whispered to his daughter.
"God help the man that does!" Jenna laughed. "No man," Alex repeated and then looked at Jenna. He never realised how beautiful Jenna really was. She was after all the mother of his child. When it was time to go, Alex took his chance and kissed Jenna tenderly good bye.
"I'll be back tomorrow," he promised. "I am so happy for you," Katie beamed as Jenna told her about the kiss.
Then Katie congratulated Alex and told him, "She's a changed woman and you're a changed man. Go for it." "It's our baby next gorgeous," Jake smiled as he held his wife.
"Not for at least 6 months!" Katie beamed kissing Jake, "Till then we have Spot." Katie and Jake spent time with Riley too and it made them even more excited about the baby. "You'll have a friend soon," Katie said softly as she cuddled Riley. A few months later.....
