Hello and welcome to another 'Carol' sequel. I hope you have been looking forward to this, I know I looked forward to writing it. This story is soon reaching it's end and I am finding it extremely hard to find a suitable ending. I hope you bear with me though, sice the endings of stories are always the hardest, I just have a bond with my characters. Right rant over please read on.

This is Edward, what a little cutie, now he's grown up he helps him mum a lot around the house when she needs it. And when he can tear himself away from the computer screen. Trisha is a full-grown woman now, right now she is working as an intern for Simposure magazine... they rarely give away scholarships, so this is a really big deal, especially for Trisha who's father died a while ago. The biggest change, however, has been in Carol herself. She has become extremely depressed since Paul went away, yet she manages to hide it from her children. She is tired all the time... But that is due to her being ready for giving birth to her second child very soon. Carol tries her hardest to keep things normal around the house, but inside her heart could not break anymore. Stirring the pancake mix helped to keep her mind off of things. But she could only stir for so long before Eddie started complaining that he was hungry. Carol headed over to the oven and started to cook the pancakes, she had to get Eddie some food at any rate. As the pancake browned, Carol saw with a startling fear that this is what it was going to be like, her making pancakes for her two fatherless children, and watching them flow the coop. Meanwhile she would become a lonely old biddy. She sat down at the table with Eddie and they ate their pancakes quietly, Trisha was still asleep. Tears filled her eyes as she thought how fast Eddie was growing up and how fast he would soon be leaving her... to grow old... alone. Trisha in fact was not asleep and was just leaving for work without breakfast, her excuse being she would get something from a street vendor in the city. And yet things were strangely normal, Carol trimmed the hedges and mowed the lawn, pulling weeds along the way. When I say normal, I mean normal for Carol, since moving to Riverblossom Hills her life has never been normal and probably wouldn't be ever again. And it got less normal when her waters broke, and she went into labour.
"Carol I need to talk to you."
"Paul, I'm a bit busy right now... Paul? No, I must be hallucinating. You're... you're dead." Carol fainted and Paul rushed to call the ambulance to bring Carol to hospital for the birth giving. The ambulance arrived as soon as Paul had put the phone back on the hook. The paramedics rushed in, woke Carol up (she had to be awake to give birth) and carried her out to the ambulance driving her to the nearest hospital. A few hours later Carol and Paul had a baby girl whom they christened Catherine. Carol was resting from her 3 hour labour while Paul just stared at his baby girl with tears forming in his eyes. Carol woke up and seeing Paul again made her stronger than she'd ever felt, she pulled him close determined to never let him go. But Paul handed her Catherine and told her he was going to set up the nursery at home and look after Eddie. Carol arrived home a few days later, Catherine in tow. Paul immediately asked her to sit down, he had to tell her something important. "Of course Paul" Carol smiled snuggling against his shoulder "you can tell me anything. I see Lilly lied about you being dead. But then, where have you been all this time?" Paul looked at her uneasily, but he could not betray the love of his life, he had to tell her the truth. "I had to go with Lilly, because she said she would tell you something I really didn't want you to know... she made me go with her, she still had feelings for me." Carol pulled away, she couldn't have her husband sneaking around with old flames. "What would you not want to tell me? I'm your wife, I kind of matter. I do matter to you, right?"
"Of course you do Carol, you know I love with all my heart and more. Now, I am going to tell you something, and I know you are going to be terribly upset. But I can't help the way I feel about you. And I want you to know, I do love you." Paul smiled, yes it was a tentative smile, uneasy to say the least, but it told Carol what she needed to know.
"Carol, our marriage isn't legal." Carol didn't say anything, she just stared into his eyes. "I'm married to someone else. We aren't together, it was when Trisha was a toddler. we rushed into things and she didn't want me anymore. Well actually I didn't want her either. But the divorce isn't finalised, which makes our marriage illegal." There was a long silence.
"But then why did you rush into our marriage, why couldn't you wait until the divorce was finalised and then marry me?" This one wasn't as hard to answer there was a simple reason.
"I couldn't, Carol. I was very much in love with you and I couldn't wait to have you as my wife. You were as impatient as I was... don't you remember? Also I thought if she had seen that I had settled down with someone else, she would let go and sign the divorce papers. But obviously that plan hasn't succeeded yet." Carol edged further away from him
"I don't know you anymore Paul. I mean I love you. But is it enough? When I keep finding out that you have lied to me it breaks my heart more than I ever thought possible."
"Please Carol, I need you back in my life, I want you back in my life. You make me feel... alive. I want to grow old with you, I want to be there for you..."
"Paul, stop it. I don't think you can have me back Paul. I just find it so hard to trust you. I'm sorry."
Carol began to think of Paul when she was looking after Catherine. I mean, yes it would be difficult to trust him. But was it impossible? And Catherine? She was their only daughter, Carol's and Paul's. Surely she should give him a chance if it was going to make her happy along with Trisha, Eddie and Catherine. "Paul, wait!" Paul stopped in his tracks and Carol almost ran into him out of surprise. "I am er... well I love you Paul. and I... I'm willing to consider letting you have me back. On one condition."
"Oh right and what is that my love?"
"You can never lie to me again. And we must share everything with each other."
"Ok I promise to never lie to you again. And when we are fully properly settled and the divorce is finalised, I will arrange a meeting with the priest and we will be married legally this time. But we will be married."
"Paul, I don't care about the wedding and I couldn't care less whether I was married to you legally or illegally. I love you, the only thing I care about is being with you. Marriage is the least important thing on my mind right now. Especially with Catherine to keep us company." Paul smiled. His most genuine smile to date. Relief filled his dtomach while love filled his heart. I just figured I would tell you, this is not the end yet. Although it would be a good place to finish. But there is more to come in the way of Marcus and such being reuinted with his daughter. And of course the wedding which I will probably do in one fell swoop. A nice big long part for you! And then that will finally be the end of the story of one of my favourite sim families of all time. Thanks for reading I hope you enjoyed it and will come back for the final part.

This was amazing, as usual. I'm glad she's back with Paul, even though I think he's still hiding a few secrets.
