Hello and welcome to another story by me. I have been working on this one for a while now, sneaking little bits here and there. It was supposed to be written in one huge part, but then I thought it would be too long and people would need to rush off at some point so I have simplified things, they will be long parts as I want it to seem like a movie, but I have split it up. I need to write the last part of Rich Girls too. Anyway at the moment we are in Connie's Coffee House, sat at a table are three really good friends, having the usual manly chat. Troy (left blonde) Bryan (middle tanned) and Nigel (right)
"Er... three coffee's please." Bryan interrupted. The waitress hobbled away again. "You guys... she was fiiine. Did you see..."
"You make a complete prat of yourself?" Bryan interrupted, not letting the laughter leave his eyes.
"You have no tact!" Troy laughed. "If any girl fell for that she'd have to be more stupid than you! No girls have ever fallen for that have they?" Nigel turned back to them, frowning.
"No..." he mumbled, embarrassed. "But it doesn't hurt to try." His eyes flashed their cocky way as they always did when he tried to get back into comfortable territory. "Now that's more my type." Bryan said pointing towards the door. "Great legs." He received a dig in the arm for this.
"That's my sister you idiot!" Nigel looked around wildly.
"Man she's smokin' hot! How'd you get a sister like that? I wish I had a sister like that..." If he could reach him Troy would have knocked Nigel out of his seat. "Whoah, wasn't she on Tv, that model thing?" Troy nodded in answer to Nigel's question.
"Anyway, a girl like that ain't my type." Bryan and Nigel quickly exchanged glances. "I want a nice looking girl, who isn't flaunting to much as if to say I'm here, come and get me. I like a nice girl, one with flair and originality..." Nigel snorted into his coffee.
"Yeah, where is this girl? I think she only exists in your head mate." "She's right there." Troy pointed at a woman approaching the counter. "That's my perfect woman."
"Dude!" Bryan exclaimed. "She is way out of your league..."
"Yeah!" Nigel interrupted. "She's... successful, perfect. There's no way that she would fall for you... look she's all business-like." Troy rolled his eyes.
"You work in construction! Do you realise how girls like that, look at guys like us as they walk by? You will never do it mate." Bryan explained all the while shaking his head. Troy was still smiling.
"I will have a woman like that someday..." He daydreamed.
"Well why not today?" Nigel asked, looking over at her as she sat down at her table. "I mean, she's right there. Just go and talk to her."
"I've got a better idea... a bet!" Bryan was always making bets, it was his way of showing how "hardcore" he was... bets and dares. But for the first time, Nigel actually agreed with him.
"Yeah, if you can get her to go out with you by..."
"The christmas party!" Bryan yelled. "You totally have to do this, you think you can get a girl like that... prove it and get her to come to the christmas party with you. What does he get?" Bryan and Nigel began to confer quietly to each other, leaving Troy awaiting their verdict. "You get first choice... on every other girl we ever see. If you like her, she's yours." Troy contemplated this for a minute... it might be difficult for the girl to give up her christmas party at the office, but if he did it he would be the "stud" he would have everlasting fame amongst his friends.
"Deal!" he said simply shaking both Nigel's and Bryan's hands.
"So when are you gonna make the first move?" "Dumped again! Why does this always happen to me? Things always start out so great and then, it's just over and I have no idea why!" Diane cried, looking for support from her two best friends. "it's not fair!" Alyssa and Katrina gave each other exasperated looks as they watched their friend drown her sorrows in coffee. They both thought Diane was too easily upset, especially when she was only with guys for a short time. "I don't know why it always happens, Diane. But I am going to help you find out. You have got to be doing something that guys find a turn off... are you being too extreme? Too clingy? Upront? Over confident?"
"Wait why are those bad things?" Diane asked as she stared into the last dregs of coffee.
"Well, guys are intimidated by you... they might be leaving you because they are scared of you." Alyssa explained. "I think we should sort this right now." Diane said looking over at the opposite table. "Those guys seem alright..."
"You don't just settle for alright." Alyssa explained. "We need maturity and security... not children."
"Well, why don't you show me how it's done then Alyssa... you find the perfect guy... with friends, and you can help me keep the relationship for more than a week." Alyssa, watched Diane intently as she drained the coffee cup. "Well, I don't know... I suppose. But we aren't choosing any of those guys. We need to go scouting the city. Oops! Our lunch break is almost over, if we don't get back quickly... we are going to be scolded something awful by Leanne." Alyssa rolled her eyes as she thought of their extremely nosy boss. Katrina and Alyssa made to stand up and leave but Diane was still sat. "What if this isn't such a good idea... we could end up with some really bad people." Diane exclaimed. Alyssa looked imploringly at Katrina.
"I don't really approve of this, but don't worry we'll pick someone with decent clothes and a decent haircut... no-one dodgy." Katrina comforted.
"Exactly we'll be safe. But what's wrong with this Katrina?" Alyssa asked. "I don't know. It just seems a bit reckless and we should be concentrating on our articles." Alyssa stood up with a start.
"Quick you guys. We don't want to be late... get up finish your coffee and let's get out of here." The girls quickly stood up in a hurry. The three guys were getting up just as the girls, bustled past on their way out of the cafe. Nigel was just pushing his chair back when he caught sight of Diane, whose tears had subsided... she was trying desperately not to look at him, so he did what he had to, to get her attention... he pulled the chair back out and she tripped over the spindly leg... Landing straight into his arms. He looked into her eyes, and felt her become putty in his hands... his eyes glinted excitedly and he gently hauled her back onto her feet. He subtly looked her up and down.
"I am so sorry, are you alright?" Diane quickly straightened herself up and brushed herself off, needlessly.
"I-I'me fine." She stammered, Nigel smirked as he watched her try and keep her dignity. She caught his eyes... and my God! Those eyes. Nigel watched as she cleared her throat and began to fumble with her collar.
"Er... thanks for helping me up." She squeaked.
"It's no problem... you know, I don't usually like redheads, but you are one fine, specimen..." Diane fumbled nervously with her collar and let out a small giggle... quickly realised what she had done, and cleared her throat again leaving the cafe with her dignity intact. Nigel turned back to his friends grinning.
"You do realise that was the worst chat-up line I have ever heard... you called her a specimen!" Troy exclaimed with a wild fire in his eyes, and a smirk on his face.
"She liked it." Nigel dismissed Troys comment waving an airy hand.
"Troy did say that any girl who fell for your chat up lines would have to be really stupid... I think you found the perfect match!" Bryan laughed, nudging Troy who also joined in on the laughter. Nigel turned away from the group, his lip curling.
"Your just jealous because I got one... and you didn't." He stated simply, leaving the coffee shop. Troy grinned uneasily at Bryan.
"You're not jealous are you?"
"Of Nigel?" Bryan asked. Their eyes met and they buckled over, hardly breathing due to the intensity of their laughter. The girls got back to the office, just in time... and Alyssa and Katrina turned on Diane immediately.
"What happened back there with those guys?" Alyssa asked incredulously. "I thought we had decided to stay away from them."
"Actually, you decided." Diane replied coolly. "I quite like them, the dark haired one is cute, and has the greatest eyes." Alyssa clicked her tongue impatiently while listening, and quickly waved her hand in front of Dianes' face. "Diane snap out of it!" Alyssa cried. "I thought you wanted a long-lasting relationship?"
"I-i do..." Diane stammered.
"Those "boys" won't, you couldn't go anywhere with them... they are too immature for us high maintenance women... we'll go soul searching tonight. I am going to take you to a nice bar where we can pick out our perfect guys." Diane looked down at her feet and silently agreed with Alyssa. They sat down to work quickly, beginning their new articles. Alyssa eagerly awaited the evening to come, it had been so long since she had dated... and she could turn it into a story if things went wrong. Or she could write about the help she was giving her frined if good things came of the relationships. She grinned eagerly and began to write about the latest fashion-faux-pas, of the celebrities in Simmywood. Dusk was falling and Alyssa was just tidying up her make up and checking that she looked Ok, for the nights' events. She practiced a few chat up lines in the mirror, though kept making herself laugh. Why had she even agreed to this? Trying to keep a relationship going? And offer Diane some advice too? Yes she could do it, but it always caused her some heartbreak when the guy she was with split up with her, after they had been dating for a while. Alyssa waited patiently on the couch some time later for her girls to come and get her. She was always ready first and didn't understand why they always insisted on stopping at her house before moving on to the clubs and bars. Finally the doorbell rang and Alyssa leapt of the couch to greet her best friends. "Hey girls!" Alyssa shrieked as she flung the door open wide. "What took you so long, I have been waiting here for ages! Are we leaving straight away or are you wanting to have a cup of coffee before we go?"
"Coffee?" Diane scoffed. "What about Tequila's?" Alyssa gave her friend a disappointed look
"I'm afraid I'm all out, let's hit the bars and then get some!" They all gave a triumphant cheer and began to walk the length of Alyssa's front garden onto the street outside. "So what did take you guys so long?" Alyssa asked as she waved the fireflies away.
"Well, we were... we were discussing..." Katrina was suddenly interrupted by Diane.
"We were just discussing the weather, while we spent a while straightening our hair... sorry to keep you waiting. So are we going to keep dawdling or are we going to hit these bars tonight?" They all suddenly walked that bit faster to get their favourite spot in the local bar. They arrived outside the Lucky Shack Cards and Drink a short while later.
"Right Kat," That's short for Katrina "you secure us our usual table, and me and Di," Short for Diane. "will go and get the drinks."
"Tequila's!" Squealed Diane.
"Yeah OK, let's just hope someone hasn't already taken our table..." Katrina said as she stepped into the warm glow of the bar. Alyssa and Diane followed and were just about to go and get drinks when a horrible sight met their eyes, their table had indeed been taken... by none other than those guys from the cafe at lunch.
"Ooh." Alyssa shook with rage. "They're following us! And ruining all the decent spots." Diane held up her hand.
"Wait, Al... how could they be following us if they got here first?" Alyssa scowled. "Besides, I kind of like seeing them everywhere." The three girls approached the table, and waited for the guys to acknowledge their presence. Nigel looked up as he folded.
"Well, hello girls!" He was surprised to see the three girls from earlier. "Is there something you need? There's plenty of Nigel to go around." He received a dig in the arm from both Troy and Bryan for this as they snorted into their hands. The guys pretended that Alyssa wasn't there, so she would get all riled and demand their attention. But Nigel was oblivious to their tactics, and began to speak to her.
"So, is there something you want?" he asked. Troy spoke, putting a lot of stress into every word.
"I'll raise you twenty, so what you gonna do now Bryan?"
"I don't know Troy, perhaps I'll fold." He said catching on and hinting at Troy to give up with Alyssa. "Yes, well there is something I want..." Alyssa smiled as she looked at Nigel. "You see fellas, this is OUR table." She said gesturing towards Diane and Katrina. "And we really want to get a few games in tonight, so if you wouldn't mind moving..."
"Oh but we do mind." Troy interrupted. You see, we are already halfway through a game, why don't you start over there?" He pointed to the other table as Alyssa fixed a smile on her face and headed over to the bar. Alyssa sat down rattling her fingernails on the bar.
"They're not going to give up the table... perhaps we should just take the other one?" Diane suggested.
"That's our table!" Alyssa snarled.
"I don't understand what you have against these guys Alyssa, maybe if we chose them..."
"Are you being serious Di? There are so many better men out there for us..." Alyssa began "Take him for example." She suggested, waving to the guy across the bar. "Or him... well not him, but you see what I mean... we shouldn't just settle for second best. We need perfect." She finished. "What if perfect doesn't exist?" Diane asked. "What if we just need someone who will be there when it counts... who could ask for anything more." She continued when Alyssa didn't give an answer. "I mean, I think I know why you need perfect... and I am speaking as a friend here. I think you're afraid of falling in love with someone you wouldn't normally associate with. You don't want second best, you want to be looked after. You don't want to be the provider." But the reason Alyssa wasn't answering was because she had suddenly had an idea and wasn't listening. She looked over to the guys playing poker, and gave them a sly wink when one of them looked up. She was going to take their attention from the game and steal the table when they weren't looking... Diane suddenly realised that Alyssa had not being paying the slightest bit of attention to anything she had just said.
"Alyssa! Are you listening? I was just telling you what I think of your past relationships. I think you are scared of falling in love, you don't want to get hurt yet again, you're afraid of responsibility." Alyssa slopped some of her drink down her as she snorted in laughter. Troy had just been sat staring at the blonde beauty who his bet was focused on. She seemed alright, even if she seemed to hate being out of control.
"You guys" he said excitedly looking around at Bryan and Nigel. "I'm not kidding, but the girl at the bar, no don't look!" He added as they cricked their necks in a hurry to get a look at her. "She just winked at me... not kidding, perhaps this is going to be easier than I thought." He chuckled. "Do you think I should buy her a drink?" Nigel looked back over his shoulder towards the bar.
"Looks like she already has a drink, mate." He said with an apologetic tone to his voice. Bryan looked over as well.
"I dunno, Nigel. She's running pretty low on fuel over there." Bryan told him.
"Fuel?" Troy asked sceptically. "That has got to be one of the stupidest things you have ever said, it's even worse than Nigel here." Troy quickly stood up. "Wish me luck." He said before strutting over to the bar. As soon as Troy left his seat Katrina jumped right into it, and dumped her chips onto the table.
"I hope you're ready to lose boys!" She said brightly. Bryan and Nigel gave each other worried looks as Katrina began to deal the cards. "Hey pretty lady!" Troy said as he walked up to Alyssa. "Can I buy you a drink?" He had already had a few himself and was quite loose in the way he spoke to her, usually he wouldn't have been quite as up front and would have respected her personal space. "Why thankyou." She said flapping her hand, to cool herself down. "I'm parched, and so warm... but I don't even know your name." She added seductively with a lot of emphasis.
"Troy." He said stretching out a hand for her. She took it.
"Alyssa." She giggled and they headed over to the bar. They sat down together up at the bar where Alyssa struck up some conversation.
"So what do you do for a living Troy?" She asked, flashing a quick smile.
"I work in construction." He said. "Just local road works and things, anything that comes up really."
"So you have quite big muscles then." She said winking and looking pointedly at his well built figure. Troy blushed. And looked up as Bryan moved towards him. Bryan didn't notice, but as soon as he left the table, Diane pounced into the empty seat and looked at Nigel pointedly as if daring him to make her move. Nigel, however did no such thing but gave her a small wink and carried on with the game. "Dude." Bryan said approaching Troy at the bar. "If you want back in the poker game, you are going to have to get that girl to move, she's whooping us." Troy let out a laugh.
"I hope you realise Bryan that some redhead has just stolen your spot at the table." Bryan looked up his eyes wide.
"You what?" He frowned. "Do you mind if I sit here with you guys then?"
"Oh it's no problem at all." Alyssa said as Troy made to object. "I need to go to the bathroom anyway." Alyssa stood up and headed round to the bathrooms, while Bryan took her seat. "If you'll excuse me ladies." Nigel said, getting up out of his seat. "I have some guy friends that I need to attend to." He left the table, while Diane and Katrina began to giggle.
"Alyssa had better hurry up or she is going to miss her chance." Katrina laughed. Nigel quickly approached Troy and Bryan with a satisfied smirk on his face.
"Well boys, it looks like the student has finally become the teacher... jealous of my skill with the ladies?" He asked.
"Speaking of ladies." Troy said. "You have one more." Nigel looked wildly around, "No way!" He yelled seeing Alyssa in his seat. "She took my seat!"
"Anyway I think we had better be heading off now guys." Bryan said, getting out of his seat and heading towards the door. "Now girls" Alyssa said, sitting comfortably in her chair. "Let's enjoy a great game, at OUR table." The girls cheered and smirked as the guys left the bar. "Girls one boys zero!" Alyssa yelled. The girls roared and spent a nice night playing a few rounds of poker before heading back to Alyssa's place. After a few hands later and they were sat in Alyssa's kitchen, sipping steaming hot cups of coffee. "So weren't we brilliant?" Alyssa shoutedin triumph. "I do kind of hope we see them again, so that we can show them up once again." Diane gasped as she took a large swig of coffee which burned her throat as it slipped easily down. She coughed and spluttered before croaking,
"That's if they don't suspect we are trying to do it again, they'll be on their guard next time." She explained wisely. Alyssa sipped her coffee thoughtfully. She kept thinking of how she could show the guys up again, and her mind kept straying to Troy who she had dismissed as unworthy.
"Alyssa?" Katrina's voice rang through her ears like a bell. "We are going to set off home now... see you at the office tomorrow?" "Oh right, Ok... tomorrow then." The girls downed the last dregs of coffee and left their seats heading to the front door. Alyssa hugged Diane and Katrina in turn, saying a quick and muffled goodbye.
"Be careful walking these streets girls, you don't know whoc could be about." Alyssa warned, "I'll see you both at work tomorrow, don't be late!" She cried, after them as they closed the garden gate behind them. She turned away from the cold and entered her cozy living room. Alyssa layed her head on the soft, comfortable pillows and closed her eyes. Her mind automatically wandered, agin to Troy and his friends... his blonde hair glinting in the warm glow from the bar. She quickly scolded herself and forced herself to dream about something else, and images of the following work day filled her mind, sending her into an empty sleep. Alyssa stepped out of the shower the next morning, the water dripping down her in torrents, before grabbing a towel and wrapping it tight around herself. The water subsided and she wrapped her sodden hair around one shoulder, as she stepped into her sunlit bedroom. The early morning sunlight danced across the bedroom, giving Alyssa a good feeling about the day to come. She cheerfully pulled her rumpled bedclothes up to the pillows and stretched taking in every part of the sunlight she could. Her view was blocked by the towering buildings, but was not disheartened as she heard the birds twittering on the window ledge. About half an hour later, she was dressed and ready, strolling down the garden path. She hummed as she pushed open the gate and headed down a dusty side alley before approaching the street on which the office tower stood, looming over the rest of the city, Alyssa stepped out into the street which was usually bustling full of people. Feeling slightly perturbed she headed to the imposing building and walked through the double doors, automatically brandishing her ID to the non-existant security guard. Alyssa stepped into the empty elevator and pushed the button that would take her to the third floor. Why was there no-one here? She usually had to fight her way to the elevator. Perhaps today was just a good day? The doors rattled open and a little Ping sounded as she stepped out onto the empty floor. Where were Katrina and Diane? She stepped over to the water machine assuming that they were just running late... but she hadn't seen anyone at all. Where was everybody? She straightened up as a deep voice boomed behind her causing her to slosh water all down her front.
"Hey babe. I wondered when we would be alone together... looks like today is just our day." He let out a chuckle as he stepped closer to Alyssa. Her chest constricted and she felt her breath catch in her throat. Troy was standing there, moving slowly forward with a gleeful smile on his face. Alyssa couldn't breath and was becoming light headed. He wrapped his arms around her, squeezing her gently, he pressed forward his face almost inches from hers... She could feel his breath on her face, his face was now so close that his eyes had formed to make one. Alyssa closed her eyes, and waited for the climatic moment. Not daring to open her eyes... Alyssa awoke suddenly, breathing heavily and clutching her chest in shock. The sunlight bored into her eyes and she quickly shut them tight. Had she really dreamed about him? No, it couldn't be possible. She looked at her alarm clock, which told her she had woken up just a few minutes before the alarm. She groaned, and crawled out of bed, grumbling about that always happening. And a few hours later, the girls were sitting in their cramped booths, eagerly awaiting their lunch hour. Alyssa had some things she wanted to tell Kat and Di, and couldn't really be bothered with writing the article she had been assigned. A new e-mail flashed up on the screen and Alyssa looked around quickly before reading it. It read.
"I know you dreamt about me last night, let me buy you a drink tonight. We are all meeting at..." but Alyssa didn;t find out where they were meeting or who the mesage was from, as a sharp voice snapped behind her.
"Alyssa! What are you doing? I believe this has nothing to do with your article?" Leanne "the boss" was towering over her, looking furiously at the e-mail.
"As interesting as your social life, no doubt, is Alyssa... I have a magazine to run and if you dont get on with your work and allow yourself to be distracted by e-mails from. Troy is it? I am afraid I will have to let you go. Let this be you first and final warning... now get writing." Alyssa turned back to her laptop, muttering under her breath as she hammered her fingers on the keys and tried to think of something that was not as unjust as Leanne. "So Troy e-mailed you huh?" Katrina asked, a short while later as they sat on their lunch break. "He asked you on a date?"
"Seems kind of fishy to me..." Diane snapped. "I mean it's not like you two exactly hit it off. You used him to get our poker table!" Alyssa nodded. "Yes I know. But I really have to tell you something. I had this dream last night... I was going my usual way to work, except nobody was around, and suddenly he was there!"
"Who was?" Diane asked eagerly.
"Troy! And then we, it was horrible what does this mean?" Alyssa asked, looking flustered and in desperate need for an answer. "I couldn't stop thinking about it all this morning." Diane rolled her eyes.
"Alyssa, isn't it obvious?" Katrina asked.
"No." Alyssa stated defiantly, hastily folding her arms.
"It means," Diane explained "that some magic was at work last night between the both of you." Alyssa snorted derisively, but stopped at their humorous looks and flushed bright red. "Listen." Alyssa said lowering her voice to a whisper. "There was no magic working last night, and I feel nothing for Troy!" She added so much contempt as she said his name she spat all over the table.
"Lovely." Diane muttered. "Anyway we are no closer to finding smoe guys... I say we just choose the one's we keep seeing. I like them!" She said cheerily. "No. Diane! We can do so much better than those guys!" Alyssa begged. "Please let us go out tonight and find some decent ones... I don't want Troy! We can find someone better." "You speak of these better people..." Diane began "but we have seen neither head nor tail of them. If you ask me they are only in your head! Nobody is perfect. I like those guys and they could have easily got rid of us after we did that to them, but they were gentlemen... now if you ask me. Yes they are less than perfect but it would still be possible. Remember it was just to see if we could make a relationship of mine last longer than a week!" She finished. "You know, as absurd as this sounds" Katrina chirped "I kind of agree with Di, I mean they're pretty harmless boys really. And if we just get this project over with we can focus on our articles, rather than some silly..."
"It's not silly!" Diane interrupted. "I need help." Tears threatened to fill her eyes and Katrina stopped. "Fine." Alyssa mumbled misereably "we'll choose them... but don't blame me" she added as Diane let out a whoop! "if things don't turn out the way you want them too... I have told what these boys are like." The girls drained the last of their coffee and munched the last of their lunch before heading out and back to the office. Nigel, Troy and Bryan were heading back into the city centre, having just finished work they had cleaned themselves up and hurried off to get some dinner.
"You asked her on a date?" Nigel asked sceptically. "And you seriously think she'll turn up?" He let out a booming laugh.
"Course she'll come." Troy said simply. "I'm gorgeous. No seriously though, she's curious no woman would pass up the chance to satisfy her own curiosity."
"No woman you know." Bryan said. He and Nigel both fell into silent laughs as Troy watched on, none too impressed with the joke. I think I'll end this here, otherwise I will just go on forever! I hope you enjoyed it. And the next part of Rich Girls will be uploaded extremely soon - I promise. I haven't been working on it yet, but I will put all of my efforts into finishing it! Anyway sorry that it wasn't one huge part, but I realise some people might not appreciate it too much :) Thanks for reading and thanks to the custom content makers!

Nice story. Very interesting. I wonder if Alyssa will completely change her mind about the boys.
But, how did Troy get her e-mail ad? I thought they just talked at the bar but I didn't know they exchanged e-mail addresses...
