Sorry for the long wait on this part, if you have been checking my profile page almost daily looking for an update which I know some of you have, then you have also probably seen that I had to reinstall my game, loosing a lot of my sims etc. Sorry for the incredibly long wait, I have been rather busy with schoolwork. I hope you will forgive me though, once you have finished this part. I should really be doing homewrok right now, but I present you this! The second to last chapter of Rich Girls.
"Do you still have feelings for me?" I frowned at being cut short.
"I will always feel something for you Frances, but we can never share what we once did." "Bonnie please. I beg you." Frances looked at me out of puppy-dog eyes and I smirked at his situation. "I will never forget what we had Bonnie. I love you too much, I know there is still something between us. I want to rekindle our marriage. We could do it. All I need is a chance. I promise you I have changed!" I blinked blindly at him.
"I know you have, but nothing you could say or do would make me take you back." I broke into a grin, I wanted him to know how much enjoyment I was getting out of his heartbreak.
"Looks like the tables have turned Frances. Besides where's Connie? I think you should be getting home to her." I turned on my heel and headed back into the house, rubbing my arm gently on the peeling and cracked paint on the door. "You told him where to go right?" Victor asked suddenly as soon as I entered looking windswept.
"The girls and him will be leaving us alone forever? Bonnie I love you so much, this wedding. I have been dreaming about it for months. Please just tell me Bonnie, what did you say to h...." I held up my hand to silence him. I had no idea what I was going to do, obviously I wasn't going to take Frances back, but I really didn't want to be with Victor. He isn't the right guy for me. I paused a while thinking of what I would say to him. I took a deep breath and began to speak in what I thought was a comforting tone. "Victor I'm sorry..." I began as the tears welled in the backs of my eyes.
"You took him back!? After all he did to you? He'll torture you into insanity! Bonnie I implore you to see reason!" I watched as Victor's heart broke through his eyes. "Victor I haven't taken Frances back." Victor looked up eagerly. "But. I can't marry you. Victor I'm really sorry but I don't love you. There is nothing between us apart from the bond of a child who you hate. Me and the girls will be leaving, I don't know where we will go and if you find out I don't want you to visit. I ask you just one thing and that is to let me take Lionel with me." I had avoided looking at him until this moment I couldn't stand to treat anyone like this, it wasn't right and nobody deserved it... least of all Victor. When I finally looked up I saw the tears streaming down his face without any sign of stopping soon, he was choking on his tears and I couldn't bear to look at him. Instead I focused on Francesca who was looking out of the window.
"I think I understand you Bonnie, I will allow you to take Lionel... it is the only thing we shared together, and I want you always to remember me. I thank you for the great times you have given me, I just wish you had told me we had nothing." Well yes, after that we moved back into the Winston Estate, the place where I grew up. I enjoyed being back there, and from this point I am just going to point out all the important bits, I mean not every part of my life could have been interesting... besides I only remember these vivid parts. I was just clearing up the dinner plates when Francesca came bounding into the kitchen, a wide grin spread across her face.
"I got in! Mum I got in!" My jaw dropped and my eyes widened in shock.
"That... oh my god! Frankie, I am so proud." Tears welled in my eyes and I pulled her into a bone crushing hug. "What about Ellie?" "Rejected." Ellie sobbed, as she entered the room. "Frankie gets in and I get rejected! Well, congratuations Frankie!" I could tell that she did not mean this at all, Ellie was jealous.
"Come now Ellie, you can always reapply next year..."
"Well I wanted it this year! I don't want it anymore, I know exactly what I am going to do now anyway. I'm going out! Meeting some friends..." Before I could utter any words along the lines of "you must ask first" she left the house slamming the door behind her. I looked down at Frankie, and saw that she too had tears streaming down her face, and was struggling to keep smiling.
"Why does Ellie have to ruin everything? I haven't done anything wrong, all I did was get accepted! Well, I don't know if I want it anymore!" Frankie's smile faded and she ran from the room and upstairs to her room. I followed her up a few minutes later and she had a face like thunder.
"Mum, please go away. I don't want to hear any lectures from you on how I should go to University anyway, and that Ellie will get over it! She's my sister and I don't want to split up from her, ever." "Listen to me Frankie." My voice had become much sterner. "You will be going to University and your sister will get over it! Don't worry about her, didn't she say she had her life planned out anyway?"
"Yes, but you know she didn't mean that as much as I do!" My fury left me as concern etched across my face.
"Do you know where she went?"
"No. We have different friends, I told her not to hang around with them. But I expect she has gone to one of their parties." Frankie sniffed. Parties? Oh God.
"Would there be alcohol at these so called parties?" Frankie looked up at me frightened.
"I shouldn't have said anything." she said biting her lip in reply.
"Would there be alcohol?" I asked raising my voice.
"Probably, the kind of people she hangs about with, mum it's not her fault please don't blame her!" I looked down at Frankie.
"I'll do what it takes to get her out of the situation, she should not be exposed to alcohol! Where is this party?" "I don't know mum. I don't speak to those people, I am in a whole different clique!" I looked down at Francesca utterly perplexed, what was I going to do now?
"I expect I will have to stay up until she gets home?"
"Probably, but I won't be I have to get some sleep, I have a Biology test tomorrow."
"Ok, honey goodnight." I left the room and headed back downstairs to await Ellie's imminent arrival. Ellie trundled in at 5 in the morning, surprisingly I had managed to keep myself awake, probably from worry.
"Where have you been?" I demanded of her. "Have you been drinking?" She tripped over the doormat, confirming my suspicions and hiccuped loudly.
"Of course I haven't!" She slurred. "I'm going to bed, I don't feel very well." I wanted to do something to scare her out of this as she stumbled past me, but I could think of nothing and decided that it was better to confront her about it when she was sober. I too, went to bed and as soon as my head hit the pillow I fell asleep. "I DIDN'T TELL MUM WHERE YOU WERE OK!" Frankie yelled, putting her face right up into her sisters'. "I DIDN'T HAVE A CLUE WHERE YOU WERE, BUT IF I DID I WOULD HAVE TOLD HER! THIS HAS GOTTEN OUT OF HAND AND YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR LIFESTYLE! I WATCHED YOU DO IT ALL THE WHILE WE WERE AT DADS! IT DIDN'T HELP ME WITH MY DEPRESSION YOU KNOW!" Ellie had been drinking before now? Why hadn't I guessed? "Oh, don't go acting like Miss Perfect!" Ellie retorted. "It's not like you have never drunk any! Besides, I can do what I like... it's my life and I won't be dictated to by you! You'd better hurry up and get ready. The school bus will be here soon." Frankie wrinkled her face in disgust.
"You're not going to school in that state are you?"
"Yes! I can't miss school can I? Then mum would suspect." I raised my eyebrows as I stood there in the doorway. Frankie rallied again and puffed out her chest like I did when I was angry.
"YOU CAN'T GO TO SCHOOL LIKE THAT! YOU'LL RUIN MY REPUTATION!"
"You mean the goody-two-shoes one? You should be grateful! I could get you in with the cool crowd and we could go to some raving parties together!"
"Oh that would be lovely!" Frankie replied sarcastically. "I would just love to spend all my time with you! Ellie, wake up and see sense, alcohol makes you act like someone else... give it up! You don't need it!" I felt tears form in my eyes as Frankie showed such feeling for her sister. "Oh you're precious Frankie! What would you know about it anyway? I like to drink. Big deal! Leave me alone please, I need to get ready for school." Ellie was about to storm away in a rage when Frankie stopped her again. "Please Ellie, give it up. You don't need it! If you don't give it up then I... I'll..."
"Ooh what will you do? I can't wait to find out, you'll tell mum?" she said in a simpering voice. "As if I care, mum doesn't scare me!" Frankie took a deep breath, I could tell she was close to tears.
"I'll disown you!" she shrieked and came hurtling towards me, the tears flooding her rosy cheeks. I let her past and looked at Ellie, who frowned and made her bed. I decided that Frankie needed me more than Ellie did at that moment in time so I followed her down to the living room where she was sobbing her heart out. I wrapped my arm around her shoulder and cuddled her close to me.
"It'll be alright." I whispered. "You'll be friends again soon, I am going to sort out this problem of hers and everything will be alright again." Frankie wailed even louder.
"But you and Auntie Annie aren't friends, what if that happens to me and Ellie?"
"That won't happen." I said sternly. "Auntie Annie ws the one who had Ellie all that time, so I don't want to be friends with her, but we will inevitably be seeing each other again, since we are living in her house." Frankie shook in my arms as I tried continually to calm her down. I was helpless and I had no idea what to do.
"Honey the school bus is here, you should go to school, see your friends and have a good day. Keep to your studies you have Uni to look forward to remember!" Frankie nodded and left the house to the school bus still shaking uncontrollably. I doted on Lionel for the rest of the day, I couldn't be neglecting him now could I? I began to teach him how to walk, an important first step, I think. It took a while, just to get him to stay on his feet! He ended up too tired to carry on, so I put him to bed and waited for the girls to come home. It felt weird that I wasn't waiting for a man to come home anymore just my little girls. I preferred it that way, but it didn't stop me from feeling lonely sometimes. I missed Victor a little bit and I missed mine and Frances' Night Geometry. But I had other responsibilities now, I couldn't dwell on such things. I waited patiently for the girls' greeting as I heard the bus pull up outside. Perhaps Ellie and Frankie had made up during school today? It was Emily that came in first.
"Hi mum, what are you watching?"
"Paradise Island, where is Ellie and Frankie?" Emily stopped dead in her tracks.
"Aren't they here? I thought they must have come home early because they weren't on the school bus." What? Where were they? Oh, why hadn't I bought them cell phones? "Well perhaps they made up at school today and went to the mall?" she suggested.
"I doubt they would have gone to the mall." I said shortly, but that must be it, they went out together after making up at school. But it was just me and Emily who sat down for dinner that evening. Ellie and Frankie had not come home and I was starting to get worried. If they were together they would be fine, but what if they had split up and... I was so close to calling the police the only thing that stopped me was the sound of raucous laugher coming up the path to the house. I threw open the front door and strode out into the cold night air. And there they were at the end of the path, laughing at some stupid joke one of them must have told. I could tell that this time both of them had been drinking and was about to go out there and force them inside when Ellie shouted.
"It's Ok mother. We are just coming." And with that they ran straight past me into the house and up the stairs still giggling in their drunken state. I had tried time and time again to reprimand the girls for their bad decisions and choice to drink... but there was nothing I could do. The girls were out of my control... I just didn't know what to do. The girls made sure of that as they came home drunk every night. Their schoolwork was suffering from it and Frankie lost her opportunity to get into Uni as she left school later that year. I kept telling her she had ruined her life but she wouldn't listen to me and carried on. The time soon arrived for Lionel's birthday and I happily tickled him as we blew out the candles together. Surprisingly Frankie and Ellie were there to witness the celebration... sober. Lionel grew up into a very good-looking young boy and I couldn't have been more proud of him as he looked up at me with my eyes. I was just clearing up after the party when Frankie and Ellie approached me, they wanted to tell me something I could tell, but none of them was eager to break the news, whatever it was. "You do it!" Ellie hissed.
"Fine. Mother?" Frankie asked. "We need to talk, well not really but me and Ellie have to tell you something." I grunted in reply. "We're moving out." Frankie told me, Ellie was grinning from behind her. I had stopped washing for a fraction of a second and then began washing the dishes again.
"Well?" Ellie asked. "Don't you want to say anything to make us stay?" "And what exactly could I say to make you stay?" I asked as I turned around.
"Nothing." Frankie answered simply.
"Well then. Goodbye." I had been through hell with these two, to be honest I was relieved that they were going. A short while later and I was answering the door. I wasn't expecting any visitors and since this wasn't my house I was quite worried that I would get caught out. "Hello. Who are you?" I asked trying to sound polite.
"Bonnie isn't it?" I nodded looking at the wrinkles that penetrated the skin around her eyes, she couldn't be much younger than me. When she didn't say anything I took the advantage.
"Yes and you are?" "Bonnie I can't believe you don't even recognise your own sister!" Annabelle waggled a reproving finger at me. I have been looking for you for ages and all this time you have been living in my house." I watched her and shuffled my feet nervously. "Not to worry though, can I see my family?"
"Er, yeah sure." I stood aside and let her enter the house. The next part will be the final part. This is more a filler part, ready for the exciting final. However, I have started a new story 'Numb' which will be published soon. But after those will be more stories on this family: The Twins and Lionel, I am choosing which one's I want to continue the families legacy with.

Wow! I'm so glad she told Victor the truth and didn't get back with Frances. Unfortunately, her daughters are acting very immature. Well maybe they'll outgrow it before the end of the story. Lionel is absolutely adorable. Can't wait for the final chapter.

It would be so cool if you did a story on Lionel, he could be a cabarét-star, dragqueen, romantic player or sensitive dad, endless possibilitis (I'm sure I spelled that one wrong...) I'm getting ready for the last chapter now. Sweets - check. Warm blanket - check. Kleenex - check! Good to go!
