Description
Midge, Barbie's Best Friend by Mattel was first released in 1963. Midge was created, along with Barbie's Little Sister Skipper, to counteract criticism claiming that Barbie was a sex symbol. Like Barbie, Midge also had a boyfriend named Alan. Both the original Midge and Alan dolls were sold only during the 1960's. In 1988 Midge and Alan were reintroduced as a married couple in the Wedding Day Midge set. Also Midge and Alan were sold in a play line called The Happy Family which included their twin toddlers Ryan and Nikki. In 1993 and 1998 two vintage reproductions of Midge were produced specifically for collectors. Barbie, Ken and Alan sims can also be downloaded on my members page.
