12-09-2006 Hi! My name is Blitzen. You might have heard of me before, but I bet you didn't realize that I am Santa's right-hand deer! What? Oh! You didn't know reindeer could talk? Please! Talking is EASY... flying is HARD! Any way... You all know what my Boss does every 24th of December. Me and my home-deers work all the night through, making sure Santa gets all of his deliveries done in time. Then, on Christmas Day we all celebrate just as many of you do. But, this story is about the day "after" Christmas.... December 26th. Yep.. you're right, this is Santa's personal Den. We just got back and he said he wouldn't mind if I shared the story with you. Just don't tell too many people. The big man does like a "little" privacy. Alright now Blitzen, (Santa says... jolly-ley) Just don't get TOO personal.. you know how you like to go on and on. Ho-Ho-Ho! Oh, Sure Santa. Don't worry. (winking) It all starts with the sunglasses. Santa puts those babies on even before changing out of his big red. When we see those... we "know" its time! Then Santa changes his clothes, hops in, grabs the reins and we're OFF... to ... the beach! That's right... the big guy and us LOVE to hit the sand, the waves, the sun. We have a BLAST every December 26th! As soon as we get there- Santa dresses for the Beach and the fun is ON! Yea! The beach.WHAT should we do first? Santa and Donder taking in the view. Donder relax, relax. Oh well. Hee-Hee... Donder must have taken this when we were chilling in front of the water. Gosh, the sun felt great. Oh no... I forgot about this! Comet running out of the water. He "swore" he saw a shark... LOL... too much! Hee-Hee... I said, Comet... a DOLPHIN.. you know? Flipper and all? He did NOT laugh. Oh, this is the big guy doing his thing... he considers himself a real grill conesuer! But he "never" quite gets the hotdogs off of the fire before they're too burned. Oh, well... just add catsup! Thats Dancer and Santa... always taking a minute to read their horiscopes. You'd think they would know they are too old to believe in that stuff! (eyes rolling) Vixon, Donder and Dasher joined the big guy while he juggled some tumblers. What a show off! Whoops... watch it there Santa. Here's Santa. Looks like he's just enjoying a moment alone. Hee-Hee. (click) Nobody loves to cut loose more than the big guy... Go Santa... Go! Oh my, if Santa knew how hard Prancer laughs when Santa dances... That is Santa's Holiday Stephe's doing there. Its hard to believe that its so cold here and was so warm there! Any way... AT the end of the day Santa tells everyone to line up in their positions, that it's time to hook up the sleigh. We hate ending all of the fun... but we're so tired, we're glad to go home to our nice warm hay. So the next time December 26th rolls around, and everyone is sitting around the house, exhausted from all of the holiday activities... you can think of Santa- and his deer-pals... and the fun we'll be having. And say... why don't you mark your calendar and join us. It's just like the big guy always says, "The more the MERRY-er!" The end.
