Hi! Thank you for your comment. The pergola for my rustic flagstone pattern...well, firs of all you have to place columns. Straight ones, not roman :-) Change their original pattern to wood. It works better with dark wood. Put them as if you were drawing a rectangle. (look them in top view) Also, place some additional columns in the middle of the rectagle. You will remove them later, but they will help you to place the "roof" of the pergola. Once you did so, go to the second floor view and select one of the short railway fences, or whatever you like, but it must be short and brown. Place fences with one or two tiles separation until you cover all the space limited by the columns. Then put more fences perpendicular to those you put before.  Then go to the 1st floor and delete all those column you put in the middle.  You should have your pergola now, I hope so, because my english is not so good as I would like, but if you don't, tell me and I will help you again. \:D  Have fun!

Hello Terry!  You wrote asking about the slanted roof of my barn?  It is really, REALLY easy!!!  I have a tutorial here showing how it's done (http://www.thesimsresource.com/artists/Cyclonesue/tutorials/view/category/sims3/id/12219/) but the basic point is that the roof height slider only changes any roofs that are present.  Therefore, if you first DELETE the roofs you don't want changing, then adjust height of the remaining roofs, you can then undo the delete afterwards and the roofs you've undeleted are still the original size.  Only the roofs you didn't delete have been resized.  I could have kicked myself when I discovered it! \:D Sue
