Everyone has something strange about them. The one thing that was strange about me was my family. Really it was just a coven of vampires, but to me they were the only family I had.

This was the best picture of our coven together. Most of the time we're running around doing our different things, and rarely can I get everyone in one place. There were also usually some strays around. My Grandma opened the house for all of the poor people who were turned vampire then not wanted. This is Abagail, my grandma, she built this house and filled it with love and safety. Most covens seem scary, barren, and dangerous, but ours was different. It was beautiful, there were bright colors everywhere and beautiful flowers. From the beginning the house was a place of love. It was where Grandma and Grandpa first met. And where my dad and mom met. My mom and dad adopted me because they said that they couldn't have children on their own, and I was just what the house needed. I'll admit that I was a spoiled young girl especially by my grandma and grandpa. They would try and spend every waking moment with me. There was always at least six or seven people in the house, and so at least one person would be around me. I was never neglected or lonely. My thirteenth birthday was coming soon, and of course I was excited! I was going to be a teen, a real part of the family, and I already knew what I was going to do. I was going to carry on my grandma's tradition and keep the household warm and safe. My grandma came up to me a couple days before my birthday. "Sage dear," she said, "Now that you're going to be a teen I'll turn you into a vampire if you want." I was so excited. I went straight to my room and gazed in my mirror. I couldn't imagine what I would look like. I would have paler skin, red eyes, and be taller! How would anyone even recognize me? I even went so far as to pick out my coffin. I loved it. It had pink lining and looked perfect in my pink room. We had a cake with candles and everything for my birthday. The only bad part was when I had to make a wish I couldn't think of anything that I wanted. And that was it. I was a teenager. I couldn't believe it! I could be a vampire now and be a bigger part of my family. Once more I rushed to the room to check my reflection out. I loved my new teen body, but hated my clothes. I HAD to do something about that horrible shirt. As if reading my mind my grandma hugged me and we decided that tomorrow we would first go shopping for some suitable clothes, then she would bite me. After school I spent my last day in the sun. My first job was to take care of the lemon trees which were seriously neglected. For the rest of the day I sunbathed by the pool. It was an excellent farwell, and I knew that I would eventually miss the sun but my days were better spent with my family. Well we did go shopping and I changed into a nice tradtional black dress. Me and Grandma went to the ballroom and she bite me. Only seconds after she had bitten me she dropped to her knees screaming. I was shocked as she curled up into a ball. Did I do this to her? Was it somehow my fault. I spent hours crying over her body before anyone got an urn for her. Ron eventually gave me a hug and tried to comfort me. "Sage, this isn't your fault your grandma had a full life. The last thing she did was bite you, and I'm sure that was a wonderful thing for her to see you as a vampire before she went." Of course all the little speeches in the world couldn't really comfort me. I knew that I had caused my grandmother's death. She had over-exerted herself biting me and now she was dead. There was nothing else to it, but I only had so much time to mope because trouble was brewing. You see we live in a big city so that no one notices us. Although sims are usually accepting vampires havev been known to cause panic and danger amongs them, so we try to stay relatively unknown. It's easier in the city because no matter how strange you look there are always tons of other people who look just as strange. On the other side of town though there was a small coven who we weren't sure were harmless. Other vampires aren't that usual to come by, but usually they are very old wise and travel alone. In fact they are so secretive not even other vampires know what they are doing. But we all knew these were diffent kinds of vampires. Prudence had gone to visit them when she was still human. It shocked her to see one of them outside in the sun to greet her, and even though she was smoking the new vampire showed no discomfort and greeted her. "Hello there I'm Tyranna," the new girl said, "Why don't you come inside." Prudence was curious so she entered. Inside she was shocked to see another vampire girl biting a human man right in front of her. What if she was just another normal human not going to be turn vampire? She couldn't believe these careless girls. All the time Prudence had been looking at the transformation Tyranna had been coming closer to her. Prudence faught with all the strength she had when she realized what Tyranna was doing and managed to escape back here. I listened to Prudence's story absolutely shocked. I was so use to my loving non-violent family I didn't know that there were others who were different. "So you see we must get rid of them," Prudence concluded as she finished her story, "They are careless and will lead to suspicion in which our way of life will be revealed. We cannot let this happen." "Well we shall wait until we absolutely have to fight," Grandpa said quietly, "It is no good to have so many hate filled vampires out there, but there have been no newly reported murders. We will have to make a choice when the news reports start showing more dissapearences and murders. For now we will bid our time." I let all of this sink in then let out a gasp. Fight? Did he say fight? What if someone got hurt like Grandma? I wouldn't know how to handle anyone else gone, but all I could do was just pray that things got better.
