And well there I was. My child's dad wouldn't talk to me and I didn't have any family to turn to either. I was so panicked when the day finally came. I didn't know what to do nothing in my books had mentioned this much pain and I was afraid that something was wrong. I was so afraid. What if something was wrong? What if I couldn't have a baby because her dad was a vampire? And then luckily it happend, and my child was in my arms. I named her Diana after my mother. She was so innocent and precious I could barely take my eyes off her. It was unbelievable that this was actually my daughter. Even my mother apporved I sometimes saw her ghost standing over the crib and smiling. But children grow and one day she just grew up in my arms into a wonderful toddler. Diana was so brillant she was playing her little piano like a pro and I was so proud. Of course she did have little temper tantrums whenever things didn't go her way, but I knew that it was just the terrible twos and would pass over time. We had so many good times together. My social life was pretty much nonexistant except for my baby and my mom's gravestone. And when winter came I made sure that she saw her first snow early in life and she loved it. On her seventh birthday I held her tight before letting her down to grow up. It was such a shock to see her smiling at me. She looked exactly like me at that age it was scary. I gave Diana her very own room on her birthday, after saving up years of salary I was able to add on to my house with her room. "Oh thank you mommy!" she said, "This is the best birthday present ever!" I was so touched, it was the sweetest thing anyone had ever said to me. I couldn't believe it. I looked down one day and realized that Diana was growing up and soon would be a teen and off to college. So the next day I took her out downtown for a mother-daughter day. She was an incredible bowler and we had a great day. Then we went to a family restaurant where she met a new little friend. He was quite handsome and I imagined little crushes were starting. When I mentioned it to her at lunch she just rolled her eyes. "Mom come on he's just a boy, ugh." I smiled as I took my drink and couldn't wait until she started dating to bring this up. I planned her little party right on her birthday on Monday. I felt bad we couldn't take a day off to celebrate, but I knew that it might cause problems. She stood up to blow out the candles on her very first birthday cake. I was so happy when she finally turned into a teen, and what a cutie! But then something went wrong. She changed again and I ran over to help her, but suddenly she was a vampire. I was frightened I had never heard of this happening before. "Mom, mom something's wrong!" she yelled paniced. I was shocked. I didn't know she would get hurt because her father was a vampire. Slowly she faded away as I stared in shock. All that was left was these ashes. That was my baby girl, my life. I couldn't believe it. Nothing sunk in. Where was my baby? She was suppose to grow old, go to college, get married, have children. And now nothing. It was hard but in the next few days I put her grave next to my mothers. And there I sat. I lost my job and the house went to ruins but nothing really mattered to me. And when death came for me he actually looked sympathetic. "Come on Michelle," he said, "Let's go to a better place. You can see your mother and daughter again." It looked so peaceful so I went with him.
