The Witch of Mountain Pass Part 3. Thanks to all the people who made the amazing CC that keeps a story interesting. "So, mind telling me what all this is about?" Fawn asked Seri. "Well you see, Nanita is an enchanter." "Nanita herself is immortal, but her body is not. She's too vain to grow old though, so instead she lures young woman to her and steals their bodies." "Usually she takes the form of the cat to lure them in." "I, of course, used the shape of a dog to try and protect you," Seri explained. "But why are you protecting me in the first place?" Fawn asked. "Well you see my father is king of our land and he was sick of Nanita doing this and giving us all a bad name." "So I volunteered to go her and destroy Nanita. My father told me that it was the honorable thing to do and he would be proud that his son was willing to destroy Nanita and protect the kingdom." "And so here we are?" Fawn questioned with a puzzled look on her face. "Yes. Here we are," Seri replied. Over the next week or so the two had fun and grew fond of each other. They would walk around the neighborhood and gaze at the beautiful landscape. They would also sit in Fawn's living room and talk for hours about their lives. "She will be back soon Fawn that woman is too greedy to leave her prey alone for long," Seri said. "Are you sure she will be back? Can't she just fine another woman to stalk? And even if she does would you be able to defeat her?" "I am sure she will be back Fawn. You are too beautiful for her not to have and you underestimate me. When the time comes I will know how to handle her." "Thanks for reassuring me," Fawn told Seri. She was glowing at the compliment he gave her that she was beautiful and hoped he was telling her the truth. Later that evening Fawn put on an old bridesmaid dress that looked perfect on her and made a wonderful fish dinner. Seri couldn't help noticing Fawn that evening and they both looked up and smiled at dinner when their hands accidently touched. But looking out the window later Seri could see Nanita creeping up. He brought Fawn into the kitchen. "I see Nanita out there. Go in your room where it'll be safe and I'll see you later." Seri then went out with his temper flaring. How dare Nanita try to take beautiful and kind Fawn away. "You underestimate me boy. You do not know how powerful I am!" Nanita shouted. With that Nanita muttered a spell and waved her hands about. Fawn worried about Seri resolved to go outside. Hopefully he would be fine but she had a terrible feeling that he wouldn't be. Fawn was right. Nanita's spell caused Seri to catch on fire and start to burn. Fawn came out screaming as Seri was struggling with death. She started sobbing uncontrolably and screaming. Fawn didn't notice Nanita heading towards her. "Leave me alone," Fawn whimpered. Nanita smiled and that was the end of Fawn. Every now and then people see Nanita around in Fawn's body searching for her next victim. "That was the end? Come on that wasn't even scary. I mean dogs and cats that turn into people is so fake, how could any of you believe it?" The kids got up to go back to their campsite. "The story is true my grandmother knew the woman who sister saw this happen," Haley said. "Well yeah and I'm sure bigfoot is true too. You kids are so stupid and will belive anything," Melissa sneered. "Stop arguing and let's just get back to camp," Peter said. "Fine," Melissa and Haley said. The two were sick of each other and couldn't wait to get home. Melissa thought she heard someone behind her and stopped certain that one of the kids was playing a trick on her. She turned around as she saw a strange woman. "Hello beautiful," the woman said with a smile on her face. The End.
