- Hello? Are you Asparagus Garden?
- Oh, yes... And you...?
- I have a job for you, Mr. Garden.
- Sure, I'd do anything for such a beautiful lady...
- Oh... Well... Oh... Thank you, Mr. Garden..
- Please, call me Asparagus!
- Of course, Mr. Garden. Hmm, about the job... Yes, could you possibly get me two pieces of copper?
Asparagus nodded.
He felt more than just a little disappointed.
No woman had ever any interest in him and he wondered if that was ever going to change.
The happy feeling about returning to Shang Simla had already started to fade away.
Asparagus didn't need to look for that copper since he had some copper left from his trip to Al Simhara.
He was growing tired of these easy jobs.
If he couldn't find any love in his life, then it would be only fair if he could find some excitement instead.
- Mr. Garden you are the only person who can help our village. The ancient Dragon Cave has awakened again, for the first time in centuries. Please, can you go and explore the cave to find the reason for this misfortune?
Adrenaline rushed in as Asparagus heard the name.
He had read about this mysterious cave and now he was going to go and explore it!
- Please, Mr. Garden, do say yes. Our village needs you very much!
- I'll do it. How could I refuse when such a beautiful woman asks for help?
- Our village is very grateful, Mr. Garden.
Asparagus sighed.
Not knowing what dangers might await him in the Dragon Cave Asparagus saw it best to visit the Sim Fu School first.
The stories he had heard in Al Simhara about mummies and other hostile creatures made him feel very unsure about his fighting skills, and this was the reason why he was in Shang Simla again.
His employer wanted him to learn to do Sim Fu, but for what reason Asparagus didn't know. He hadn't learnt much in the poorest of orphanages he had lived in for years but he had learnt to obey to orders given by more powerful sims.
- Excuse-me, my name is Asparagus Garden. I saw you training and I was wondering if you could teach me to do Sim Fu?
- I am very sorry; Mr. Garden, but I do not have time for that. My wife and my children are waiting for me...
- Oh, I see that...
Asparagus sighed.
He wondered if he was ever going to have a family of his own like this lucky Chinese man.
Seeing that he would find no one to teach him at that time of the day Asparagus decided to give Sim Fu a try all by himself, although it didn't go very well.
The moves that had seemed so easy and fluent when he had watched the Chinese man perform them were way too hard and difficult for Asparagus.
He got hit by the training dummy more than once.
After practicing for a while Asparagus realized there was no way he could learn Sim Fu by himself so he headed back to the school building, hoping to find someone who could teach him.
As he walked in Asparagus saw a stunning Chinese woman. It seemed like the first time he ever saw a woman. She had dark hair and even darker eyes that were set to perfection by long black lashes. She was obviously a master in Sim Fu since she was very muscular and her whole look told that she was a sim that no one wanted to mess with.
- Excuse-me...
- Yes?
The start wasn't promising but Asparagus didn't want to give up even if the woman looked like she wanted to send Asparagus to the most distant planet existing.
-I was wondering if you could teach me some Sim Fu. I tried it by myself but I couldn't get the moves right and I seriously hate getting hit by that training dummy...
- You want me to teach you Sim Fu?
- Yes, I would be very pleased to have you as a teacher. I'm sure you could show me how to get them right...
- I like your attitude. Those who seek perfection never get there but they still try! My name is Adaeze Min, by the way.
- Adaeze Min... These Chinese names are quite hard to pronounce... What is your husband's name, just out of curiosity...
- I am not married, as if it was any of your business, Mr...?
- Garden, Asparagus Garden. I am sorry I didn't mean to pry.

- Fine, Asparagus. The truth is that I seriously find all the men in this village just too similar. They all are like their fathers who are like their late fathers and so on. Besides, they all find me too terrifying as I could win any of them in Sim Fu. They can’t stand any woman being better than they are… - Oh, really?
Asparagus hugged Adaeze gently.
He was surprised that Adaeze didn't pull off, or even more surprised that she didn't use her Sim Fu moves on him.
- I am sorry, Asparagus. I didn't mean to lay all my frustration on you. It is just that this village feels too small for me. I want to get out and see the big world and see if I find happiness there. Oh, here I am telling you all my secret hopes... Do not get me wrong; I am not usually like this.
- Oh, I don't mind you being like this... No sim is an island, after all.
- You are too kind.
Asparagus looked at Adaeze's dark eyes and he realized he was already head over heels in love with her.
And as he looked at her eyes he saw that she didn't find him annoying at all. That realization gave Asparagus the courage to kiss Adaeze.
But as Asparagus leant closer to Adaeze, pursing his lips, Adaeze leant backwards.
- Eh, excuse-me, Mr. Garden, but what was that about? Oh wait... I don't think I want to know. If I hadn't promised to help you with Sim Fu you had better to be running away as fast as you can, but promise is a promise. I will meet you at the training dummies at 10 o'clock.
Asparagus banged his head to the wall.
He had ruined all his chances.
But at least she hadn't used her Sim Fu moves on him.
Yet.
When Asparagus arrived to the school Adaeze was already there practicing.
She moved really fast and her moves were graceful.
Asparagus could see why the men found her terrifying but even if he was terrified he found her extremely beautiful and attracting.
- You are late.
- I hate to sound like a broken record, but I'm sorry. And about the last night too...
- I seriously don't care. If you want to waste this time to chitchat then I am not the right person.
- I'm sorry...
- Then go and change your clothes
Asparagus had no time to get prepared for the attack.
Adaeze was clearly letting him know what she thought about him but she was still doing it so that Asparagus didn't get hurt.
At least not much.
Sun was already setting down when they were done with their lesson.
- Now you know the basics and you know where you should concentrate on. Do not ever, ever talk to me again if you want to stay in one piece.
Asparagus sighed.
She was gorgeous and her anger made him love her even more.
He might have lost a battle but he was going to win this war.
But when Adaeze had disappeared and the darkness fell Asparagus didn't feel as confident anymore.
He had ruined everything.
Or could it be possible that he still had some hope after all the stupid things he had done?
