Thank you all for the custom content and thanks for reading... Colour was very important in the lives of four sisters that lived on Blossom Island. You see they were no ordinary sisters they were fairy sisters that had a very special task ... The first sister for us to meet is Winter.
She had the task of making sure that all the snow was pure white, she also had to ensure that all the snow flakes were different shapes, not one could be the same... Robin red breasts had to have just the right amount of red on their chest and snowmen had to have the obligatory black hats and red scarves... Autumn was the eldest of the four sisters. She was in charge of mixing all the colours, a very important job indeed. If she mixed the wrong shade , grass would be blue, bananas orange and the world would not be as we know it... She had to rake all the fallen leaves taking note of all the colours , seeing if she could improve on some next season... It was an arduous and lengthy task. It sometimes took Autumn longer as she could not resist to have a play in the leaves . It never ceased to amaze her how beautiful all the colours were and how each leaf was different to the next... Spring is the next sister for us to meet. She had the job of flying all around the plants to make sure that the bees had carried out their task of pollinating the flowers... She also had to fertilize the soil to make sure that all the plants were well fed and would grow strong and healthy... The youngest of the fairies was called Summer. Even though she was young she still had her list of tasks to perform. She had to make sure that each grain of sand was golden... And that the oceans and the skies were the right shade of blue... Despite all this hard work the youngest fairies still found time to go to school... And Autumn and Winter loved to relax in their hot tub by the sea... You see being fairies they did not do all the work themselves, a little magic was also used... Winter would go and visit the water fountain. She would offer a token and in return she would be given the gift of magical water... This water would be used to water the plants and help keep their world a colourful place... Autum knew how precious this water was and used it sparingly. It only took a little splash here and there to keep everything in their world the right colour. The seas would stay blue, butttercups would be yellow and grass would be green. She kept the water out of sight at the bottom of the garden... One evening after a hard days work , Autumn was relaxing in her bath tub. She loved to soak in the bubbles conjouring up new colours in her mind.

She thought she heard someone outside... An intruder was about .
It was Flax an elvanon from another kingdom. He had been sent by his master to see why the fairies world was so colourful when their own so so white and stark.
He had been watching the sisters for days and had realised that the water at the bottom of their garden played an important part in their life... He was not the brightest of poeple and instead of asking if he could have some water to take to his master ,Flax decided that he would take it all. He pulled and tugged and using a magic spell popped the water pump into his pocket... Spring had heard the commotion at the bottom of the garden and went to investigate. She arrived just as the water pump disappeared ino Flax's pocket.

"Autum, Autum , come quickly there is an elvanon here and he has taken our water"...
 Autum came as quickly as she could the elvanon was making his escape , she could not stop him... That night Autum could not keep warm, she lit a fire but it did nothing to help. A great feeling of foreboding came upon her... Spring was restless and could not eat her supper... Summer was taken to her bed with a raging fever... And Winter , Winter did not seem to know what day of the week it was.
A restless night was spent by all four sisters .
All was not well... Morning came and Autumn stepped outside.
Her heart sank , she could not believe her own eyes. All the colour had been washed away.
Everything was grey....



 The two younger sisters were afraid , they clung on to each other for support . They had never seen such a pale and uninteresting world before... Winter had loved the colour of snow , but this grey colour was so bleak it made her weep. Everywhere they went it was the same.
The green grass was gray , the oranges and lemons on the trees were gray. Even the blue ocean was gray.
What were they going to do , how could they get the colours back... That evening they had a visitor at their door. It was Ramus another elvanon.
"Forgive my intrusion my master has sent me , he belives he has caused your world great harm. He wishes to see you"... Autum flew into the sky, a grey sky . She had to go and see what could be done to bring the colour back to their world... She walked into a great hall where she saw two people sitting in the far end of the room. The room looked cold an uninviting, the people looked friendly enough though. The man spoke.
"I am Thor , King of the elvanon. I belive one of my men has caused great harm to your world ..." "My people and I are tired of living in this colourless world of ours . I sent Flax out to your kingdom to learn about colours and to find out why your world was so beautiful. I wanted to know what your secret was and maybe share some of your power. I am truly sorry if I have caused you and your people any harm"... Iceandra the Queen spoke next.
"Your magical water has already started to work on my people. My lips have turned a cherry red and my eyes for the first time are changing to a cornflower blue. Your water is truly magical"... "Our whole world is changing before our very eyes"

Thor smiled at his wife and said
" We must retun the magical gift it is not ours to keep" Thor bowed his head and reluctanly gave the magical water back to Autum.
She could feel the colour creeping back into her body, she felt all would be well again.
Autumn could see how happy the gift of colour had made the the King and Queen , she spoke

"If used sparingly I have enough water to share with your kingdom Thor. Why should my world be colourful and yours not. "
 Thor and Iceandra were ecstatic. They sprinkled some water on their land and sat back and watched as their dark and dismal country took on a new lease of life as colour seeped into everything... Autum flew back to Blossom Island with a joyous heart . All around her the land was changing back to the beautiful colours she had always known... Her sisters were there to greet her... Life went back to normal... Autum checked the crops... Summer tested out the sea... And Winter checked the colours of the flowers... That evening over supper they all agreed what a beautiful world they lived in and how they took the simlpe things like the colour af a leaf for granted. From now on they would treasure each day and enjoy the colour of nature... To show that there were no hard feelings between the two kingdoms a big party was arranged . People came from far and wide. It was a spectacular show of colour. A great time was had by all... And true to all fairy tales the four fairies lived happily ever after making sure their world was a colourful place to live in...
