Have not written a story for a while . Since having Bon Voyage have played a lot with this character. Starting to get a soft spot for him. So here is a little story about what happened in my game!. I know Big Foot cant fall in love and do certain things in the game , this is just a story I made up while I was ironing one day! As always please excuse any errors that you find, somebody comes along and puts them in when I'm not looking! Thanks to the creators for the custom content. This story should appear in three parts if my computer behaves. Enjoy...
Her friends were in abundance. Every evening would be spent either at a club or a fancy restauraunt. She was always surrounded by people , yet she always felt lonely and out of place... She would sit at her computer for hours and think of all the different countries she had visited. She read the books of her new found authors. Their words became alive on her screen and she would be transported to the great outdoors . She could see the tall snow capped mountains, smell the aroma of the pine trees and hear the babbling brooks. Is this what she was searching for, is this what was missing from her life... She thought back to her happy childhood days. She and her father would spend week-ends away in the country, whatever the weather. They would walk the mountains and fish the lakes until night fall. They had indeed been happy days. It was then that Annie decided that life was passing her by and she needed to do something quickly to get her life back on track... She decided to book herself a holiday in the mountains. Annie wanted to see if she could recapture some of her childhood memories. She excitedly packed her bag and headed out to the waiting taxi... She may have had a hankering for the outdoor life but she was not too sure about sleeping under canvas. After all these years of luxury, she thought booking into a hotel would be wiser.
At least she would be closer to the outdoors here than she would be in the city... Bobby at the check in desk seemed friendly enough " Welcome to Lake Vista Ms Briggs, hope you have an enjoyable stay"
" Oh I will" said Annie giving Bobby a big smile. She was already begining to feel relaxed. Annie asked for details of the nearest fishing lakes and armed with all the information was ready to start her holiday... Annie realised she was hungry after her long journey and decided it would be wise to eat before she started on her fishing trip. She ordered room service and had a shower whilst she waited... Showered and refreshed Annie sat down at the table. She was hungrier than she thought and soon eat her hearty bowl of chili. She could feel the benefits of the mountain air already.
As she set out of the hotel lobby Bobby called after her " Watch out for the snow miss, its on its way"... Annie heeded Bobbys words and wrapped up warm . She found lake Vista and was a little apprehensive to find it was deserted.
Not another soul was to be seen.
" Come on girl pull yourself together, this is the great outdoors not the big city " she said to herself.
She settled down and started to fish. Her rod was still , the fish were not biting, but Annie was content.
Warm memories came flodding back to her. She was deep in thought when she heard a branch snap behind her... She turned around quickly and saw what she thought was a brown furry leg. Annie started to panic inside. " Oh my goodness" she said aloud .
She had forgotten to ask Bobby if there were any bears around lake Vista. She began to feel frightened.
She reeled in her line and packed away her tackle , looking all around as she did so. She made her way towards the main road... Annie stopped suddenly when she heard a noise from the bushes to her left.
She moved the thick branches apart, gasping in horror at what she saw... There hiding in the long grass was not a bear but a man, not an ordinary man though , but a man covered from head to toe in thick , dense fur.
Annie screamed and ran as fast as she could towards the main road loosing her hat and backpack as she did so... The creature stood up " Why do they all scream and run when they see" me he said to himself. " Why do I frighten people so?... Annie looked behind as she was running and was panic sticken to see that this monster was giving chase.
Annie tripped and that was the last thing she remembered... The beast stood there for a while looking at this creature that he had frightened. He only wanted to get a closer look not frighten her and now she was hurt.
How was he going to be able to help her... Annie awoke to find two big blue eyes looking down at her. She tried to scream, but a gentle hand touched her lips.
"Dont be frightened I wont hurt you. You fell and knocked your head".
Annie tried to get up. There was a great big hairy monster stroking her head. She had expected him to grunt not speak in a gentle caring voice.
It was all too much for Annie , she fainted again... The creature carried Annie into his cave. He took off her outdoor clothes and lay her on his bed.
He was astounded by her beauty. He had never been so close to a human before as they always screamed and ran away when they saw him... It was several hours before Annie awoke . She sat up startled and screamed,
" Where is my coat , what have you done to me , who are you" and then began to cry.
The creature knelt down besides her . He had never seen tears before.
" I have no name " said the creature " You can call me River as that is where you found me" " Dont be afraid I will not harm you " Do you have a name?" Annie was lost for words.
" I am hungry" River said. Annie looked at him from the corner of her eye. River looked down and smiled, " Dont worry I am vegitarian , humans are off the menu.
"Come outside if you would like to eat"... The smell of barbecued fish was too much for Annie, she had not eaten for hours. She found her coat and went out to join River.
" My name is Annie" , she said "I am sorry I screamed at you ,I was frightened. Without seeming rude may I ask what are you?
"Time for all that later" said River "Its time to eat now" .
Annie must have been ravenous as she ate her fish without coming up for breath . After their supper Annie got up and said
" I must make my way back to the hotel, Thank you for your hospitality ".
River replied " It is too late now , you must stay here tonight. You can sleep in the cave I will sleep ouside".
Annie was exhausted after her adventurous day and did not argue . She went into cave found her back pack and went to sleep... Annie was surprised that she slept soundly all night . She was awoken by the sound of the birds and Rivers gentle voice calling her to breakfast.
"Would you like me to show you the hidden secrets of the forest before you head back to your hotel " River asked.
Annie felt calm and relaxed in Rivers presence. Surely if he was going to harm her he would have done so while see slept soundly during the night. Annie replied
" I would be honoured River for you to show me your home... Annie had the best day of her life . River showed her all the wonderous sights of the forest, all the hidden treasures that a tourist never sees. She felt so happy, so at one with the world. This must be a part of what she had been searching for... Weary and sore from the days travel they headed back to the cave. Annie lay down on the bed and River lay next to her. She noticed his gentle features and listened to his kind voice. He knew so much about the things that really mattered in life. How could she have screamed and run away from him when they first met.
River was begining to have feelings that he had never known before. He loved the way Annie spoke, the colour of her eyes , the way her nose twitched. They talked long into the night... The following morning River had set up a shower for Annie among the trees. It was bliss bathing in the great outdoors. She was begining to think that she could stay there forever , that she had found her dream... River found some old clothes for Annie to wear while she washed her own in the lake. Some campers had fled and left all their belongings when they had seen River a few weeks back. Annie looked at her reflection in the water and laughed , if only her friends could see her now... They spent the whole day exploring the mountain and in the evening they sat around a cmp fire eating and talking.
" You must leave in the morning " said River, " People will start to worry.
Annies heart slumped... She turned to River and hugged him as hard as she could.
" I dont want to go" Annie replied and off she went to her bed... Morning came too quickly for Annie as she knew she would have to leave today.
She opened her eyes and saw before her some flowers freshly picked from the forest that morning. This beast that she had tried to run away from a few days ago was plucking at the strings of her heart... River came into the room and Annie thanked him for the flowers. She held his hand and she felt him tense and move away... "Annie you must leave today. What we are feeling for each other is wrong . I can not be with you. I can not love you like a human would love you. You should go, leave now and forget about me... Tears formed in Annies eyes , her heart felt heavy.
" Please let me stay River, this is what I have been searching for most of my life . I have found true happiness . I love you for what you are , I dont need what other men can offer. I need to be here with you. Let me stay and love you".
" No, Annie you must go , we are too different, our love for each other would not survive . You will have to give up so much to stay here with me. You will end up loathing me as I will not be able to give you all that you desire. Go now please..."
With that River turned away and walked out of the cave... Annie packed her backpack. With a heavy heart she stepped out of the cave .It was still dark outside. It was snowing the ground was covered in a thick blanket of snow. Snow was still falling from the sky, thick fluffy snowflakes. She could not leave now, could she? She could not even see the path let alone the road back to the hotel.. Was this fate giving her a helping hand . Was this Annies chance to persuade River to let her stay?...
