I'm exploring storytelling through technology, so here's my first attempt.
These are a few emails that Job Price wrote to his mother. She kept them in the archives ya know! :)
The time in the story jumps ahead quite a bit and those aren't actual dates. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

Mom, I wish I could tell you all the GREAT stuff that has happened to me at school so far...but there's no time! How do you like the pictures? We look like total geeks man...they took these as soon as we stepped out of the taxi....jerks.
Ricky is doin cool - just going to lit classes and stuff. He's got all the ladies now...hopefully he doesn't get caught up!
I gotta run, me and Ricky are going to the coffee shop for open mic night!
Kiss Savannah for me!

Somebody call the doctor! I can't sleep, I can't eat, I can barely think! But, I think I have the cure Mom....her name is Iris...Iris Conrad.
Now that Ricky is in the Arts program, he wants to hang out at all the hippie spots-you know coffee shops, protests, the concert park. Which is cool, but there's some weird people there ya know?
Anyway, I was just chillin' and watchin' the peope play and there she was. She walked up and played the guitar.
She sucked, but I didn't care. She ran off to class before I had a chance to speak. So, I had to find out everything I could about her. So here's what I found out:
1. She's a straight A student.
2. She is learning the guitar (that explains the suckage).
3. She works out every day (I think it's time I concentrated on my health).
4. She's hot.
Sounds like a winner huh?
Peace, Ma. I love ya and tell Papa Jake to shoot a message sometimes.

Fate has smiled down upon me! I was walking out to the mailbox to see if my phone bill came, and there she was. Iris Conrad.
Dude.....it was meant to be. How cool is it that she would stop in front of MY dorm, and take a deep breath? That's how beautiful she is, she's hot when taking a breath.
I admit, I was nervous, but I couldn't let destiny down-I introduced myself.
We kicked it off right away! We hung out and talked about our respective majors - she wants to be a cartoon voice like Papa Jake! She can't wait to meet you guys...
I have to go because she went to the bathroom and I was trying to write this email real fast.
Luvs ya

We were up until 2am! Who knew that you could bond with someone over cafeteria spaghetti? We laughed and talked and laughed and talked. All night. Is this how you felt with Papa Jake?
I'm in deep. I hope she feels the same way about me....time will tell huh?

I know, I send emails at the most random times! But, this one couldn't wait!
Remember how I told you last Christmas that Ricky is the MAN on campus. Let me remind you, the whole "deep" persona that he's put on, it works! Me and Iris crack up on how the ladies just seem to fall for his "poetry" and spaghetti dinners.
So, now that we are big time juniors and living in our own house, Ricky kicked his game up a notch. Which basically means, that either Iris or I will cook a bangin' dinner and then Ricky has one of his lady friends over and romances them.
Anyway, Ricky got sloppy. He invited Marissa Bennett over for dinner and they you know - had a good time. Afterwards, he was walking her out the door and low and behold - his date from last night showed up! She was bringing flowers too. Poor dumb girl. We couldn't here all of the convo, but basically, they dumped him.
Talk to ya later!

Suzzah is a greeting in Takezumi Village! Mom, that place was awesome! You HAVE to go there.
I'm sending an attachment with some of the pictures we took there. I'll show you all of them at Easter.
This trip did a lot for all of us. It let me know that I want to practice medicine all over the world. Iris was inspired and decided to write a play based on the fisherman village we stayed at. Ricky...well, Ricky was inspired by all the beautiful women there. Can't blame him for that one.
One of the cool things is that we learned Tai Chi! Can't wait to show you and Papa Jake. The people there were so nice - they would fish and then cook for all of the people (i.e., tourists!) staying in the tiny village - worked out swell for our pocket books!
Can you believe we are going to graduate in May?! I'm glad we took this trip together - the Three Stooges together forever! That is until Ricky settles down.
Luvs,
Job

Ricky did it. Who would've thought the playboy would settle down first. Apparently, he took is main squeeze out to dinner - Midnight Flows. Well, after a long, "romantic" night, Ricky decided to pop the question. When I asked him why, he said he did it for three reasons:
1. She had style.
2. She was fun.
3. She was willing to do things in public that no other woman would.
Three good reasons, no?
Oh and if you're wondering about me....maybe.
Peace,

Last night was magical. I took her to our favorite spot - Java the Hut. A private room, with a private chef. Oh yeah - it was awesome! There is a wandering photographer there who asked me, what do I take pictures of? I told him - "Everything!". Hence, the make out pics. I'm sure you don't mind Mom.
Didn't she look beautiful? I swear Mom, I can't wait to have kids with this woman. She's incredible - beauty, brains - I should stop now. This isn't manly huh? Lol. So, when you see her, act surprised when she tells you. We're her only family, so it'll mean a lot if she tells you the news.
Can't wait to see ya next week!

This is the pic that Savannah took. She's grown up a lot, we gotta watch her. Especially with those Saunders boys! She told me that she chats online a lot....you might want to read her chat logs. Don't worry, I'll show you how.
Anyway, I'm moving out and I'm not sure whether we'll go to Misthill Bay or Downtown. Iris wants to go Downtown because she is afraid of doing "safe" acting jobs if she moves to the country. I want to go where I grew up - it's a great place to raise children.
You know what she told me? She's not sure if she wants kids! I can't believe she didn't tell me this before - she's all "I want to focus on my career."
So I don't know what to do anymore....I love her so much...I'll probably follow her anywhere. Either way, we're going to Misthill Village for a camping trip I think. Maybe we'll sort it out then
Love, Job
P.S. Don't tell Savannah about the chat thing..... I hope you enjoyed the story. Maybe next time we'll see what Savannah has been up to online.....
