The Kims were household names because of their television show. But one day it was canceled, and the family found themselves out of work. But before they were famous, they were a normal family, for the most part. Robert and Cynthia met each other on set of "Years Turn Into Days," a popular sim soap opera, when they were acting in a scene together. Their characters fell in love, and so did they. After a plot twist that led Robert's character to get abducted by aliens and therefore off the show, Cynthia asked for her character to move away so that she could leave with Robert to Pleasantview in real life. And it was there that their show was started.

Robert and Cynthia met each other on set of "Years Turn Into Days," a popular sim soap opera, when they were acting in a scene together. Their characters fell in love, and so did they. After a plot twist that led Robert's character to get abducted by aliens and therefore off the show, Cynthia asked for her character to move away so that she could leave with Robert to Pleasantview in real life. And it was there that their show was started. It wasn't very long after the show's cancellation that Robert decided they had to find some other way to make money. After looking and looking, the two managed to secure more stable careers. Robert found a job in show business, and Cynthia in entertainment, because acting was all they knew, and they were good at it. Justin was glad that he could get back to school, because he loved learning, and life as a child star was too busy for public education. He could get back to being a kid again, and playing with Gabby and Cheech without a camera filming it all. He was a smart kid, and always brought home a report card full of As. Life was looking up for Justin. Until Gabby died. She had a nice long life, and died peacefully. Not long after, so did Cheech. The loss of both pets was hard on the entire family, but Justin most of all. His four-legged friends were just about the only ones he had. Justin was shy, and didn't trust people to like him for who he was rather than who his character was. He understood that his prior fame meant that everyone wanted to be his friend, but he didn't want the attention. Justin reached his teenage years, and began high school the next fall. He received many scholarships for good grades, body skill, cooking skill, cleaning skill, and a few others. He had enough to go to private college by his sophomore year. It was his junior year in high school that he met his high-school sweetheart, Gina New. She was his best friend Jacob Guapo's older sister Amanda's boyfriend Benjamin's younger sister...or something. They dated on and off all through high school, and when he learned that nothing would stop Gina from going to Sim State, he applied there as well. He left for college two years later, and Gina eventually followed. Robert and Cynthia each reached the top of their fields, and decided it was time to retire after reaching their elder years. They retreated further out of the public eye and lived the rest of their lives together, but otherwise alone.
