While Lilly is struggling with her everyday life Preston is having the time of his. Even though he's now a grown man and Dallas is acting like he's never getting old (but he is) he still won't visit his mother and won't settle down. Just like his dad he's been sleeping with woman after woman. And instead of steering Preston right and guiding him down a path where he'll have a healthy relationship he's just encouraging Preston to act like 'jack the lad' and to treat women like scum. Maybe Preston will realise that Dallas is now in his senior years and still single. Does Preston want to end up like that? But Dallas didn't plan on being single much longer. He knew the sensitive state that Lilly was in. Desperate not to be alone and Dallas knew he could make it work to his advantage. He invited both Lilly and Paige around and proceeded to sweep a very vunerable Lilly off her feet. He knew all about troubles thanks to Paige's close relationship with her twin Preston. They shared every secret, including the troubles their mother was having. He proposed and Lilly stupidly said yes. She wasn't in a fit state of mind to be agreeing to marry Dallas. Paige and Preston both knew it. But Paige was the only one brave enough to speak up. Preston wouldn't risk what he had going here. All the freedom, money and space he wanted. What more could a young man want? Paige tried to explain to everyone why this wasn't a good idea. Had Lilly completely forgotten how badly Dallas treated her. Sure she was in her senior years and finding someone new would be hard but marrying Dallas was not the way to solve it. Lilly however just wanted to get married and not worry about being alone ever again. Despite Paige's attempts to show them that getting married was not the answer they did anyway. Paige refused to go to the wedding and Preston was not happy when Dallas told him he'd have to move back to Lilly's house so Lilly could move in. And instead of sticking around to talk it out with a very angry Preston. Dallas grabbed a few clothes and shoved Lilly in a taxi for their 'honeymoon'. And after an extremely long flight they finally got to the hotel. Lilly was in such a daze after the super quick wedding which nobody attended and the flight that she didn't even notice Dallas checking out every women he walked past except the one woman he was married too. And Lilly spent all her time alone on the beach. She stared out at the waves. She finally had what she always wanted. To be married and not be alone in life... but it hadn't made her happy. And with Dallas out flirting with women all over the island what was Lilly supposed to do? If she spoke up then she knew Dallas would ditch her... at least if she was married to Dallas she wouldn't die alone but should she have even married Dallas at all? Especially since Dallas seemed more interested in seducing other women even though they were supposed to be on their honeymoon. And unfortunatly even women who really weren't interested in Dallas the ageing romeo got subjected to his dated flirting techniques. And even though the first night at the hotel wasn't even over Lilly found Dallas climbing into bed with a younger woman. For the first time in her life Lilly was the one doing the dumping. Dallas left the hotel. He didn't take any of his stuff. He didn't even put on a shirt, he just left. Lilly was alone at the hotel and for a change she was happy she was alone. Now Lilly was alone she started having the time of her life. She had a nice relaxing time. She made new friends and learned some new skills. She felt a new woman. Lilly even got herself a little holiday romance. For once in her life being alone wasn't a fear for her. She realised she could have much more fun being single. Her eye for men wasn't too good and she'd had nothing but bad experiences. This was different, this was fun. But Lilly was worried about going back to Riverdale. Sure lying on the beach and soaking up the sun on a tropical island would be fun and relaxing for anyone, but what about when she went back? Would she cope with seeing Dallas and maintain her new positive outlook on life?

I really really really hope things are finally looking up for Lily, I didn't think Paige had her mothers best interest at heart reading the last chapter but I was wrong about her. She did try to save her Mom from making another mistake. Hopefully Preston will wise up soon and not continue to be like his father. Another good chapter going to read the next part now.
