When we last left off, Sarah had found Amanda with Clark. It turned out that Clark had been seeing both Sarah and Amanda (unaware that they were related). Amanda had just finished her first year of college and was looking for her mother who had disappeared when she learned that she was pregnant. Now, on with the story...
Sarah Calloway had decided that she needed a break from reality. This decision came up at the same time that a phone call came from Trina. Sarah had been friends with Trina in high school but had lost touch. Trina was calling to offer her a complimentary pass to stay at the Meadowbrook Spa and Resort. It turns out that Trina had recently opened the resort and wanted to rekindle some old friendships. Sarah immediately took her up on it. As Sarah walked across the bridge to the resort, she fell in love with the place. The atmosphere was quite serene and she knew that this place was exactly what she needed. She wondered to herself how long she could disappear here. Even though she was spending a lot of the time alone, she was enjoying the vacation. Trina was too busy to really spend much time with Sarah but she didn't really mind. She was simply enjoying the tiki styled resort. She spent many of her mornings shopping in the gift shop and chatting with the sales clerk. She was starting to become quite good friends with many of the workers around the place. She was trying her best to have fun. The resort featured many ways to have fun, as well as relax. Since the resort was still relatively new, Sarah had it to herself most of the time. As she sat down to dinner after dinner alone, Sarah began to realize that something, or rather someone was missing from this experience. She knew that she should call Amanda but she wasn't quite ready to go back to that whole mess. Sarah wasn't really planning on spending several months at the resort, but the days that she was gone just continued to build as she took the much needed vacation. She could only wonder what Amanda was doing at college...

Amanda was spending many of her days around the Tri-Var house relaxing and continously trying to get ahold of her mother. If there was any time that a girl needed her mother the most, it was now. Clark continued to try to get ahold of her, but she was still avoiding his calls. The Tri-Var girls decided one evening to take Amanda out on the town. They were determined to get her out of the house and her mind off of her missing mother and pestering ex. They took her out to a local night club and Amanda couldn't help but realize how out of place she looked at the college hangout. She tried her best to enjoy the night even if it meant gossiping and dancing. They were sitting at the bar when Tiffany brought up an important topic.
"What are you going to do once the baby's born?" She asked.
"I don't know. I guess raise it. It's not like I have any other options." Amanda replied.
"Of course you don't. I meant where are you going to live?" Tiffany prompted.
"What do you mean? At the Tri-Var house I assumed." Amanda replied, beginning to worry.
"The university won't let you stay living with us once you have the baby." Tiffany informed her. Now it looked like Amanda was going to have to find a home too.
"Of course, we could always try to convince them otherwise." Heather offered, making Amanda hopeful.
Amanda was trying her best to keep her spirits up. Anything fun that she could think to do, she was doing it. The only problem was that most of things no longer seemed fun - at least not without her mother. Amanda stared into the mirror at her growing stomach. She had been debating whether or not she needed to fill the father in on the situation. Clark was still calling her daily, but she always let the phone go to voicemail. Amanda's maternal instincts were kicking in as she began preparing breakfast for the girls. The Tri-Var girls wouldn't admit to it but they secretly enjoyed spending breakfast together. Amanda decided to get their advice on the Clark situation. After a heated debate with the girls over the pros and cons of telling Clark, they agreed that he needed to know. If she didn't tell him, then that made her just as bad as him. Her schoolwork was keeping her quite busy but she was managing to get it done in her free time when she wasn't feeling too tired. She needed to keep her grades up because they were sure to falter when the baby was born. She finally got up the nerve to call Clark. She couldn't help but notice his excitement on the phone. He invited her to meet him at the park. She relunctantly agreed. Clark looked a bit taken aback when he saw Amanda. He was certainly not prepared for the sight of her waddling towards him. He quickly regained his composure though.
"Were you going to tell me?" He asked.
"That's why I called you." Amanda replied. "I was just still very mad."
"Oh - that. Will you let me explain now?" Clark asked.
"I guess."
"Well, you see, I hadn't realized that we were exclusive. I had gone out on several dates with other women as well. I guess I should have been more up front about it all but I just assumed you were seeing other people as well since we hadn't made anything exclusive." Clark told her. "And as for Sarah being your mother, that I did not know."
"Sadly enough, I want to believe you." Amanda replied. "If not for my sake, then at least for his or hers." She gestured to her stomach.
"I want you to know that I want to be there for it." Clark gestured to her stomach. "And you." He pulled her close.
"I know. And I want you to be there - for all of it." Amanda replied, allowing herself to be taken in by him again as their lips met.
"So, how is your mother?" Clark asked a bit later.
"Missing." Amanda replied.
"We'll find her, don't worry." Clark told Amanda.
Things with Clark had been going extremely well lately. Amanda knew that she was entering dangerous territory by getting involved with him again but that was a risk she was willing to take. Clark had sent over a gorgeous dress for their date that evening and she was contemplating what to do with her hair. After a lot of debate, she allowed Heather to return it to its normal color and put it in an updo. She placed the crown that Clark had sent over with the dress on her head and wondered what could be in store for her this evening. Clark whisked her away to the Disney castle for the evening. It was quite romantic. They had spent the night in the castle and were waiting for their ride out front when Clark pulled her close to him.
"I love you." He murmured as he kissed her.
"I love you." Amanda's reply was automatic. She didn't really know if she really did or not.
A couple of seconds later, Clark was kneeling before Amanda.... He pulled a black box from his coat pocket and opened it to reveal a large diamond ring. Amanda couldn't believe this was happening. She accepted and realized that maybe life would work out after all. She was engaged to the father of her child and ready to embark on the next part of her life. If only she could get ahold of her mother. When Amanda returned home, she realized that things could quickly go sour. Brittany called her into a room. Unfortunately for Brittany, she had been chosen to deliver the bad news.
"Amanda, we talked to the college and they decided that you wouldn't be able to stay living here once the baby is born. I'm sorry." Brittany said. Amanda went into a rant asking them if they used this argument and that. In the end, she realized that she was going to have to move out.
She began her search right away. She disregarded all of the "roomate wanted" ads because she didn't feel like explaining. She spent hours and hours browsing the listings on the computer. She finally found a place to move to and was able to move in right away. She said goodbye to the Tri-Var house and packed her stuff up. The place was simple with three bedrooms and a living room, kitchen, and two baths. She knew that she was going to need help with rent eventually but she hoped she could get Clark to help. The Tri-Var house decided that Amanda should have a housewarming paty. A lot of local college students that Amanda had never met turned out for the party. Carter Jones, a guy in her class, also showed up. She was pleasantly surprised by this. She was even more surprised to find out how much they had in common. They talked and joked for hours as the party took place. Amanda suddenly felt a sharp pain in her stomach in the middle of the party. She let out a small scream and many of the guests came running. She gave birth in the middle of the party, as people cheered her on. Clark was clueless about how to help. She gave birth to twins - a boy and a girl. She named the boy Nicky after her father (whom she never knew) and the girl was named Blaire. Clark looked worried now that he was actually holding his child. It had been a week since the twins had been born and Amanda was running herself ragged trying to keep the house in shape and the twins healthy. Clark hadn't returned to visit any since their birth. The first word she heard from him came in the form of a telephone call. He regretted to inform her that he was going to be out of town for a couple of weeks and she wouldn't be able to get ahold of him.
