She stopped in the front of one modest house with dirty walls and old windows and wondered if someone lived there. She grew up in luxury and for her poor people were living only in fairy tales.
She knocked on the door and a tall man with deep dark eyes and black hair answered.
It was love at first sight for both of them. They fell in love and were happily planning their wedding but one day Hajem visited Kaje at home and he discovered that she's rich. He was a little taken aback for kaje knew he was poor and could not understand how she could feel something for him who had nothing to make her happy.
"Kaje, I don't know how to tell you this, but I don't want you to think that I'm marrying you because you're rich" he said to her later that day.
"Oh, honey, I already know that you love me. You didn't even know I'm rich until today. I wanted to tell you before our wedding and ask if you would like to move in with me?"
And so the two of them moved together in Kaje's home right after the wedding. Their life was wonderful and careless. Hajem changed his lifestyle and was now wearing expensive clothes. Kaje discovered a new hobby - martial arts and was practicing it every day. But Hajem couldn't change his lifestyle throughout. He was handy and loved to repair and upgrade things in home and couldn't see the need to call the repairman.
Kaje had nothing against that but sometimes she felt lonely as her husband spent hours repairing all that kitchen appliances and electronics . "What a wonderful morning, don't you think so?" said Kaje with twinkling light in her eyes.
"Honey, thank you for the great meal you cooked last night, it's so good that I've got an extra plate. Anyway, what's with that glowing face? Did something good happened?"
"Well, actually...I'm pregnant!"she said with tears of joy filling her eyes.
He almost choked when she said it but he was very happy.
"Then I should get a job or else we won't afford this life for long." The two of them were anxious to be parents and to have the home filled with the joy of a child.
If only they knew their life was about to throw them in a twisted fate... They had a beautiful girl and named her Jemeya.
Hajem found a job and was working hard every day so he was away most of the time, but when he got home his tiredness melt away when seeing his daughter. As the time passed, with Hajem being away for so long, even with Jemeya around the house seemed to be empty.
"What is he doing all day long?" asked herself Kaje while watching the cooking channel as she did every day when Hajem wasn't around. The next morning when he woke up she tried to speak to him.
"Why are you away all day? Can't you stay with your family once in a while?"
"Honey, I have something to tell you and I can only hope you'll understand".
"What is it?"
"The job that I took some months ago, well...I'm a thief, I work in the evil career."
"YOU WHAT?" She was shocked, but after a while calmed down.
" But why?"
He didn't even had the courage to face her, so he remained on the side of the bed, looking down.
"Well, I have no experience whatsoever and it was the only job I could take, and it's a well paid job...but I didn't know in what I'm getting myself into."
"What do you mean?"
"Now police is after me and my boss said I have to disappear for a while. We have to move back to my old place."
"Oh, what have you done? We were so happy, and you ruined everything. Poor Jemeya, she doesn't deserve this!" So the family gave up the luxuriant life and moved back to Hajem's house, but even if Kaje was angry at him for getting into trouble she couldn't leave him, but trying to have a happy family. She wasn't afraid of poverty and promised herself to take every obstacle in life as a challenge.
