"Oh my goodness, this can't be...." gasps Starr. "Tyela, you are dead! How could this...."
"Ah! ah! oooohhh!!" Tyela let out another painful cry.
"Ah! ah! oooohhh!!" Tyela let out another painful cry. Byethe time Kyle arrived on the scene, Tyela had already given birth to a baby boy... followed by another boy, and finally a girl. Starr was speechless, and stood in the background as her fiance ran to the side of his long lost girlfriend. She can already see it in his eyes, he is still in love with her.
"Tyela....is that really you. How can this be...you are dead! I saw your ashes!" Kyle rambles to himself moreso than to Tyela.
"I'm here." Is all Tyela can reply. Thre three adults each pick up one of the babies and head inside. for the rest of the evening, Tyela was very silent, and rarely interacted with anyone aside from the newborns, whom she named Tyler, Kylie and Kyle Junior. "I still can't believe you are here..." Kyle walks up to Tyela. "I'm having a hard tiem acceptin gthat this is real... do you know how hard it was without you, how long it took me to move on, just to get out of bed...what happened to you...how ...how are you standing here, infront of me?"
But Tyela didn't reply. all she could say before walking off was "I'm really tired. I need to rest." As Tyela left the room, Starr entered.
"Hey," she said cautiously. "Are you okay. I mean, I'm sure you are over joyed. This is what you have always wanted isn't it....and you don't have to worry about me. I am not goign to try to come between you and Tyela. You have loevd her for so long, and she just had your kids....I will leave if taht is what you want."
But Kyle assured Starr that hedidn't want her to go anywhere, and that he was still very much in love with her.
"When I proposed to you, I made a commitment to YOU. And I didn't stop lovign you just because Tyela came back. I will be responsible and take care of the triplets, and I'll even allow Tyela to stay. There is no way that I would throw her out...but, I don't want you gone either. You are my love, promise me you won't leave?"
Starr felt reassured and pulled Kyle into a kiss. The rest of the evening was ackward. Starr agreed to help with the triplets, after all, she was soon to be their step mother. And Tyle continued to remain silent. The next morning, Kyle and Starr once again attempted to get some information out of Tyela. They wre still in shock, and Kyle continued to have a hard time believing that he wasn't dreaming. "I, I don't remember much of anything...the last thing I remember was a fire in the kitchen...then, I don't know. I just don't know." Tyela finally explained.
But neither Kyle nor Starr were sure that they believed her.
After breakfast, Kyle invited Tyela to watch some television with him, hoping that she might relax and open up. Unfortunately, Tyela remained distant. "Hey Kyle, can we talk?" Starr sat next to Kyle. "I really think that maybe you and Tyela need some space..I mean, if only for a few days. Maybe she is uncomfortable around me. Maybe when she is alone with you, she will be more willing to open up. Maybe staying engaged isn't the best idea right now. I just don't want you to feel obligated..." But Kyle put his arm around Starr and assured her that he WANTED to be with Her. "You are my girl." Starr felt reassured. Meanwhile, Tyela, who was sitting next to them heard the enitre conversation but said nothing. Instead, she stared ahead blankly. But his conversation with Starr had Kyle thinking. Tyela was his first tru love and his best friend, and now they have three children together. But Tyela seemed to have changed, it was almost as if he no longer knew her. And on the other hand, he was now engaged to a beautiful, caring, support girl, and he did not want to hurt her. He promised her over and over again that he would not leave her for Tyela and he was going to keep that promise. So, the next several months remained very strained for everyone in the household. Tyela simply looked after the kids, with the help of Kyle and Starr.... But even when she was in the same room, she did not interact with Kyle or Starr. At the same time, Starr was becoming more attached to not only, kyle, but his children as well, and decided that somebody had to come to some sort of agreement. So one morining, ten months after Tyela mysteriously returned, Starr announced that she thought it would be best if Tyela found a place of her own.
"Either that, or I am going to leave...I mean, it has been very strange and ackward for the past few months, and I can't stand living like this. I can't take the waking up every morning and wondering iftoday would be that day that the two of you decide to get back together...I can't take it!" "I can't leave. I have nowhere to go, and my kids need me here." Tyela finally spoke up for herself. "And I am not leaving them. It is evident that Kyle wants to be with you. What can I do to help you get rid of these insecurities?" But the small debate escalated into a full argument over the next several months, and Kyle couldn't take it. He thought he made it clear that he was staying with Starr, but that he wanted Tyela hear as well, if only for the kids. Speaking of the kids, the triplets celebrated their first birthday two months and a day after that first argument.... Kylie, Tyler... And Kyle Junior. Starr was very helpfull with the toddlers, and continued to remain supportive of Kyle and his kids. But she remained very self conscious and stressed by Tyela's presence, and eventually couldn't take it anymore.
So finally one day, Starr grabbed Kyle's hands and gently asked him to consider allowing Tyle to move out.
"Do the kids really need her? I would be here as a mohter figure, and I do most of the work with them anyways. I mean, I even taught Kylie how to walk and talk all on my own. There is such thing as visiting and joint custody...I just don't see why she needs to be under THIS ROOF with us. I mean, how often do you see a divorced couple remaining under the same roof for the sake of the children?" "THAT IS NOT THE SAME THING!" Kyle shot back. "First of all, we are NOT divroced...in fact, we were never married...we were living together and this was JUST AS MUCH her plaec as it was mine...and it is MY FAULT that she went missing in the first place...how could you blame her! And how do you expect me to ask her to leave without her kids when I was the one who wanted an..." "Never mind!" Kyle continued to scream. "I can't talk about this right now. I told you time and time again taht you would have to accept this if you wanted to stay. And you agreed again and again. What is with the sudden flip? You know what? Maybe you are right...I am still in love with Tyela. I don't know why, I can't help it, I stil am. I'm sorry, I tried to do the right thing for everyone involved, but I can't take this conflict. Please, just leave. Its over." Starr was devastated, but not too surprised. That afternoon, STarr did an interner search for available housing, and was lucky enough to find something perfect. By the end of the evening, she packed her bags and she was on her way. Meanwhile, Kyle confessed to Tyela that he never stopped loving her, and that he was just tryingto do the right thing. He told her that the day she came home was the best day of his life, and that he didn't want to lose her again. Kyle then proposed, and to his surprise and relief, she said yes. Kyle asked Tyela once more if she remembered anything from the morning of the fire. But once again, she said no. Kyle had to accept taht for now, and pulled his fiance into a passionate kiss. Tyela attempted to prepare breakfast for the family the next morning, to celebrate their reunion. Unfortunately, her cooking skills have not improved, and she caught fire...again! Luckily an alarm was installed this time and the fireman was over right away! ....years downthe road, when the kids were grown and in school... Tyela decided that it was finally time to tell Kyle the secret of her dissapearance.
"When I said I didn't remember...it was a big lie. I never planned on telling you the truth, but I can't keep this secret any longer... I just hope that you can forgive me." She takes a pause and a long breath. "Okay, here it goes...well, when you said...when we got into the argument about abortion, I was horribly hurt and very upset. I called my brother that evening and he was outraged by your raection...he thought you would be supportive...he told me to leave you...So when the fire started the next morning, and it wasn't planned, I swear. But I saw an opportunity to let myself disapear from you life. I planted those ashes ther as you were on the phone with the fire department....they aren't even real ashes...obviously. And I just left...I was upset, and I left...I'm soo sorry. I went to live with my brother and Ayla but I missed you soo much every day, and I finally decided to return..but it was too late. You were with Starr, and I didn't want to interfere, I had no right. But...I don't know why I stayed, I don't know..I'm sorry. I never wanted to tell you the truth, I didn't think you would even forgive me, and I don't expect you to." Kyle Stared at his wife in disbelief and anger.
"I can't belieev this...I don't even know what to say...You let me BELIEVE taht you were dead! You let me believe...."
"I'm sorry" Tyela begged." I was so upset and so scared. "I don't know why or how I did it...but I'm sorry..." After a few moments of thiking, Kyle pulled his wife into his arms and told her that he forgave her. He realises that he was unfair to her as well, and he just wants to put the past in the past and move on. Finally, Kyle and Tyela Dale were able to live their lives free of secrets, stress and deception, and hopefully, it would be a lesson that they would one day be able to pass on the their kids.
